Everyone knows that having children and getting a good night’s sleep don’t go hand in hand, and that in a sleep deprived state we can do some pretty silly things. Obviously sleep deprivation is not fun to deal with but it does cause some pretty amusing situations – even if they may not seem funny at the time...! BleepBleeps would like to hear about the most ridiculous things you have done due to your DCs keeping you up at night.

Here’s what BleepBleeps have to say: ‘Thank you so much for joining us on our mission for a good night’s sleep for all the family. We are so excited to announce the latest addition to the BleepBleeps family! Suzy Snooze: a Smart Baby Monitor, Sleep Trainer, and Nightlight all in one.

She’s the first of her kind, an innovative sleep companion that helps babies, children and the whole family get a great night’s rest. We’ve created Suzy with the Mumsnet community, and Professor Colin Espie - Chief Medical Officer of Sleepio.

We are so excited to show off everything she can do, take a peek at our Kickstarter page to watch our new video and hear what Mum’s (and babies) think of Suzy, and if you like it we’d love it if you can support us to bring her to life!

Thank you so much!

Tom & the BleepBleeps team.’

To find out more about Suzy Snooze take a look at this short video and please let us know your thoughts below

So what stupid things have you managed to do when in dire need of some decent sleep? Have you gone to the supermarket in your pyjamas? Have you put your keys in the fridge? Managed to use face cream instead of toothpaste? Or even tried to use the TV remote as a phone?

Whatever silly things you have got up to, add your story below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

Sitting in the Doctors waiting room looked down to see I had 2 totally different shoes on, one navy and one black, totally different styles and heels!

I went to sleep standing up in the shower after 8 months of feeding dd2 hourly through night. I honestly thought I may die of tiredness on a few occasions.

I had a week when weird things were happening during the night when I couldn't sleep, I knew I was doing things wrong but couldn't get them right. I was trying to make a cup of tea but instead of putting the teabag in a cup I piled a load of teabags in a bowl then poured cold milk on them & sprinkled them with coffee. The next night I woke up in the morning to find all my cupboards empty & stacked up on my worktops. I vaguely remember it happening but thought it was a dream

Getting the oven and the fridge mixed up...

AnimalAddict · 24/06/2016 08:34

Went into complete meltdown for about 20 minutes thinking I'd lost my cat only to remember she was at the vet

phillie1 · 24/06/2016 09:40

Wore one black shoe and one navy to a meeting at the Bank of England - my professional credibility seriously decreased that day

finleypop · 24/06/2016 10:18

Making a shepherds pie for dinner, I tipped cocoa powder instead of gravy granules in with the mince!

I was too tired to start over with something else, so I rinsed the mince in a sieve, added the gravy & served it up to the family. I told them I was too tired to eat lol!

woke up....sorted the cat and my breakfast......I had dry cat food ..he had sugar puffs....bless him ,he tried....I realised my error when the spoon was up to my mouth......sugar puffs don't smell like this!!

Making boiled eggs for breakfast and got distracted by the million and one other jobs I needed to get done that morning.

When eggs boil dry they explode and go all over the kitchen ceiling!

Falling asleep on the bus to work was a bit of a disaster, MOSTLY I woke up at my stop...!

cluckyhen · 24/06/2016 11:32

Forgot that I'd moved house and gone to the old one! Luckily we all knew each other on the estate. The worst has to have been forgetting to pick my eldest up from school though and turning up in my pjs at 4pm

Natsai1 · 24/06/2016 11:36

Leaving my drink on the roof of the car and driving off with it there only realising when he resulting mess was made. Trying to use the wrong key to open the front door for about 5 minutes. Arguing with my 6 year old about what day of the week it is (he won).

shivbrown · 24/06/2016 12:01

Poured Pure Orange juice in my tea instead of Milk, And also poured fairy liquid in the pan instead of cooking oil haha

suspiciousofgoldfish · 24/06/2016 12:53

I remember one spectacularly disastrous day after about a week of no sleep when I put petrol in my diesel car (tip - don't ever do this). I had to wait three hours for the RAC to ** come.
When the kindly roadside rescue man arrived he apologised for taking so long, but he was looking for the registration number I had given for a car I had fifteen years ago.
He drained the engine, cheerfully took payment for £300 and as he was driving off I realised my car battery had run flat.

suspiciousofgoldfish · 24/06/2016 12:59

I'm quite tired today as it happens, hence the random use of bold. Grin

pinkladyapple · 24/06/2016 13:56

Put my mobile phone in the fridge and the cheese in my handbag.

lionheart · 24/06/2016 14:12

I carefully cut the buttons off all the beautiful hand-knitted cardigans that Grandma had made. I was convinced the toothless new-born would swallow one.

Had to sew them all on again once I had some sleep and before Grandma arrived.

5minutestobed · 24/06/2016 14:35

I recently tried to put my cold cup of tea on charge instead of putting it in the microwave.
I also put my plate of dinner on the sofa and then sat in it.

MillyVanilli222 · 24/06/2016 14:45

Put my car keys in the fridge!

devito92 · 24/06/2016 16:58

I would wake up in the middle of the night and turn the babies mobile on .

grumpymummy3 · 24/06/2016 18:47

Forgetting where I have left stuff
Thinking its Saturday instead of Friday
Leaving the shopping in the car!!

bigbrainybee · 24/06/2016 19:37

Falling asleep in winter with the window wide open, waking up freezing and with a awful cold

MeLittleDuckie · 24/06/2016 20:11

Labour went on for days so was already sleep-deprived when DS arrived. I somehow forgot that breastfed babies needed to burp after being fed too - cue lots of wind and waking up the other babies on the ward! Blush

julieef · 24/06/2016 20:30

got in the car to take children to school in PJ's luckily they were old enough to walk through the school gate by themselves

lotsoffunandgames · 24/06/2016 20:39

I once left the kitchen tap on when I was filling the sink to wash up. It went everywhere.all over the sides, down the back of the cupboards and flooded the floor. There's me thinking I am good at multi tasking - looking after a new born and playing with my toddler. Oh yeah!

I also put my mobile in the fridge.
