Everyone knows that having children and getting a good night’s sleep don’t go hand in hand, and that in a sleep deprived state we can do some pretty silly things. Obviously sleep deprivation is not fun to deal with but it does cause some pretty amusing situations – even if they may not seem funny at the time...! BleepBleeps would like to hear about the most ridiculous things you have done due to your DCs keeping you up at night.

Here’s what BleepBleeps have to say: ‘Thank you so much for joining us on our mission for a good night’s sleep for all the family. We are so excited to announce the latest addition to the BleepBleeps family! Suzy Snooze: a Smart Baby Monitor, Sleep Trainer, and Nightlight all in one.

She’s the first of her kind, an innovative sleep companion that helps babies, children and the whole family get a great night’s rest. We’ve created Suzy with the Mumsnet community, and Professor Colin Espie - Chief Medical Officer of Sleepio.

We are so excited to show off everything she can do, take a peek at our Kickstarter page to watch our new video and hear what Mum’s (and babies) think of Suzy, and if you like it we’d love it if you can support us to bring her to life!

Thank you so much!

Tom & the BleepBleeps team.’

To find out more about Suzy Snooze take a look at this short video and please let us know your thoughts below

So what stupid things have you managed to do when in dire need of some decent sleep? Have you gone to the supermarket in your pyjamas? Have you put your keys in the fridge? Managed to use face cream instead of toothpaste? Or even tried to use the TV remote as a phone?

Whatever silly things you have got up to, add your story below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

When my Daughter was first born, she wouldn't sleep at night, so my husband and I would take it in turns to be with her at night. One night I totally rearranged the entire front room. When my husband came down in the morning, it took him a while to work out what I'd done!

Lariflete · 04/07/2016 09:59

I knocked myself out on my dressing table saving DD from falling off the bed. I leaped over to catch her by her ankle. Only she was fast asleep in her own room one of the few times she ever slept in the first 6 weeks

I was very tired.

My two year old dd loves making a mess out of everything, I remember after being up all night with new born ds instead of cleaning up all the baking trays /pots /pans she'd pulled out it made perfect sense to Chuck all into the wheelie bin Hmm still trying replace them all now Blush

I put my phone in the fridge and the milk in a cupboard. I made myself very confused trying to figure out how come we had run out of milk. I did realize where the phone was eventually, as I just kept looking in the fridge thinking I must just not be looking hard enough for the milk! Confused

I once rushed for an event with changing bag instead of the handbag!!!!!!! No oyster card and luckily I found 3 pounds and 20 pence in the changing bag, all 10 and 20p!! Believing in my words, the gentleman at the tube station gave me a return ticket for free!!!! and told me to hold on to the 3.20 just in case if I get hungry! 4 years down the lane, I am still wondering what he would have thought of me exactly!? Hubby and me still have a good laugh at this! Wish the emergency cash app was around that time.

And, one fine day, I forgot that Hubby had gone to office and assuming he is at the door, got it with milk stained top just to find the delivery man outside and slammed the door in a shock! Hoping he could hear me, screamed from inside asking him to wait for few seconds, put on a jumper and apologised him that I had to go in for something urgent!

Sleep! Yes, I went mad missing you!

I was trying to get my breastfed Ds2 to settle more so I put his soft toy rabbit down my top so my 'smell' would be on rabbit for bedtime.....few hrs later answered the door to the window cleaner with the rabbits ears poking over the top of my v neck t shirt!! I only realised after I'd shut the door after wondering why the poor bloke looked mortified Blush

I've got locked out several times. The worst one was when I put my slipper on after the Winter, felt something in slipper, put hand in and pulled it out and...it was a dead mouse! Urghhhh...

Put in plastic bag and ran out of house in skimpy nightie to pop it in wheelie bin. Door slammed behind me with 1yo twins and 4yo ds1 inside the house. Had to go nextdoor in nightie Blush. Luckily they were in, luckily I knew back door wasn't locked, so neighbour's son (early 20's) climbed over fence, opened backdoor and let me back in. No one injured except for my very bright red face.

Picked up my daughter for a night feed and wondered why she wasn't feeding. I was trying to get her to latch on with her feet!

Byrdie · 04/07/2016 20:05

So many... Locked myself out. Panicked for about ten minutes until i realised i had he keys in my back pocket. That was just this week. I've poured formula over cereal. Husband didn't notice (?!). I once woke up in the middle of the night and thought the baby was in bed with us and panicked trying to find her on the floor, bottom of the bed, bathroom. Found her in her bed. Dad had moved her. I've put random things in the fridge, keys in the wash, lost all manner of things that I put 'in a safe place' at some point.

muddypuddled · 04/07/2016 20:22

When I do manage to get some sleep, if I'm sleep deprived I have really lucid dreams and often wake up still having them. My husband usually gets the brunt of these dreams as I either wake up telling him off for something that I dreamt he had done but seemed very real to me. But more recently I wake him up to go and sort the crying baby because I'm dreaming that I'm already feeding the baby in bed. He has to tell me every time we only have one baby and the real one is crying. Confused

Crazybit · 04/07/2016 20:49

Many many times I have locked the front door but forgotten to take them with me. I've forgotten parents evenings, assemblies, sports days Blush I also forgot to pick my toddler up from nursery when my youngest was a few days old.

oootapasooo · 04/07/2016 21:03

I put my cordless landline phone in the fridge the one day, luckily I realised what I had done not long after. I wouldn't want to be a cold caller lol. Another time I decided to put my combi oven on oven mode to preheat ready for me to heat up my lunch totally forgetting that I had just used the combi on microwave mode to sterilise baby bottles in my microwave steriliser. Five minutes later I was wondering what the awful smell was. The steriliser and bottles had started to melt and had nearly ruined my oven, oops!

IdblowJonSnow · 04/07/2016 21:13

When i first went back to work I used to WALK to the shop in the one way direction you had to go if you were driving. Took me about 3 months to remember there was short cut and I didn't have to go in that direction on foot... Major embarrassment when all colleagues found out!

Elledouble · 04/07/2016 22:34

This morning I very carefully poured cereal in the cafetière rather than my bowl.

cakedup · 04/07/2016 23:52

I rushed out of the house to take DS to nursery in the pouring rain. Wondered why he was walking a bit funny, looked down to see i'd forgotten to put his shoes on!

GeoffreysGoat · 05/07/2016 14:18

Frantically searching for a bench or coffee shop so I can get my peacefully sleeping, faintly snoring newborn out of the sling to feed...

Bastard bloody seagulls!!!

alabaster002 · 05/07/2016 14:43

Fell asleep standing up at the baggage carousel after a delayed journey home!

angiehoggett · 06/07/2016 12:54

There are so many times I've got up and put my dirty washing in the waste bin instead of the laundry bin!

lolamia91 · 07/07/2016 10:17

leaving the pasta on for so long the water eveaporated and it all burnt to the bottom of the pan. Safe to say that one went in the bin

backinschool · 08/07/2016 00:01

Drove to nursery and dropped DD2 off. Drove half way to work when a little voice pipped up from the back "Mummy am I not going to school today". Turned around and drove back to drop DD1 off at school - sigh.

Beepow · 08/07/2016 01:26

Cried when I went to open the fridge to get a diet coke only to find there were none left!

kirstycooper01 · 08/07/2016 15:06

Sarah250187 · 08/07/2016 20:06
