We’ve been asked by Cadbury Buttons to find out about the everyday precious moments you share with your child, that fill you with joy.

So, what are your everyday shared moments of joy? Perhaps it's singing along in the car to a favourite tune or re-reading a favourite book together? Maybe it's watching a favourite movie together for the umpteenth time, or that last cuddle before they go to sleep?

Whatever your shared moments of joy are, please share them with Cadbury Buttons (and each other!) below. If you have any pictures of these moments, please feel free to share them below, we’d love to see them! All MNers who post on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Please note your posts and images may be included on Cadbury's pages on MN, their social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Standard Insight T&Cs apply

Thanks, and good luck!

Asking them what did you have for lunch? When picking them up

alsproject · 16/05/2016 20:15

I like it when my child tells me about his day over dinner

NerrSnerr · 16/05/2016 20:18

My daughter is 21 months and when my husband is not in the room she will pick up anything that resembles a phone and have a chat with him. She'll say 'yeah yeah yeah, Daddy. Peppa Daddy. Bye bye' and put it down.

princesssmitheee · 16/05/2016 20:28

when you are upset/stressed but then they say something funny or sweet and makes you happy

Marg2k8 · 16/05/2016 20:53

My children are older now, but it is still the same things now that I love as when they were little. Spending time with them, hugs, smiles and laughs.

strawberrisc · 16/05/2016 20:58

For me it's that I'm lucky enough to still be called 'Mummy' by my 12 year old - even if it is only behind closed doors! I don't want her to grow up too fast so I love it when we sit in and watch Britain's Got Talent or the Eurovision Song Contest! I still get the odd snuggle.

slithytove · 16/05/2016 20:59

5am cuddles
Shared baths
An unprompted "I love you mummy" or "your eyes look pretty"
The sound of them playing and laughing together
Watching them dance

LeeR1985 · 16/05/2016 21:18

Taking loads of pics of the pair of us being silly. My facebook friends love them!

KittyKat88 · 16/05/2016 21:30

It always melts my heart when my DDs say "I love you, mummy" Grin We also do cuddles with an extra big squeeeeze - I dread when they grow too big to want to do those things so I'll cherish them while they are still my gorgeous little ladies!

stefalfie11 · 16/05/2016 21:33

The times they randomly come up to you and say things like "you're the best mummy in the world" or "i love you".

Charbru123 · 16/05/2016 22:07

feeding the ducks at the park

Tkw2014 · 16/05/2016 22:08

I love the everyday things we do together, reading, jigsaw puzzles, playing in the garden. They always come out with something unexpected that amazes me.

pfcpompeysarah · 16/05/2016 22:10

On Saturdays sometimes (preferably wet and miserable ones) my son and I love nothing more than snuggling up on the sofa covered by throws and blankets, watching a movie streamed from Netflix/Now TV and eating pizza delivered to our door... PERFECTION.

Cailin7 · 16/05/2016 22:14

We love time together out with the dog and running on the beach

compy99 · 16/05/2016 22:17

so many little things that are so precious, one example I treasure is our story time, we both enjoy it, the books are known word for word and if I ever miss out a word, I never get away with it! it is a lovely time.

Anderson8 · 16/05/2016 22:18

When we're all tired and they get to go to bed and I get peace and quiet

Bubbles2002 · 16/05/2016 22:21

Walking to school, noticing the change in seasons and the first signs of spring, autumn, winter etc.

liz1970 · 16/05/2016 22:24

Going for a walk with the dog on the park :)

happysouls · 16/05/2016 22:30

I think my favourite moments of joy would be when we got the giggles, we always had a great deal of silliness and fun, but just sometimes we'd look at each other and get the giggles until we both had tears in our eyes. Grinning just thinking about it, those were the days ;-)

stimpy1 · 16/05/2016 23:06

I love it when the weather is good and we can lay a blanket on the ground and have a picnic, play games and run wild!!!

tiddles12 · 16/05/2016 23:09

I live the fun at bath times and then the washing and drying afterwards, as he sits on my knee smelling gorgeous and listening to a story. The closeness of bath time is really special

wavingnow · 16/05/2016 23:20

One everyday moment of joy for me would be sitting down at the table together and the chats we have. Sometimes my back may be aching from rushing to get everything cooked on time to suit everyone's needs but when they are so happy by what I've managed to cook/bake (especially bake!) that really is a good part of the day.

Gcalgske · 17/05/2016 01:33

Everyday joy; sleepy cuddles, "I love you mummy", little hand clasped in mine.
An extra squeeze as she goes through the nursery doors, "I missed you today mummy" at pick up time.
Baking cakes together, reading books, silly dancing, made up songs, dressing dollies, colouring in, movie night (with sweeties).

angelicjen · 17/05/2016 02:11

When our baby DC is undressed ready for his bath we play a game of flying baby, which means holding him up on the change mat and doing a dramatic count down then whooshing and swinging him through the air to the bathroom. His little chubby legs kick with excitement and he laughs his head off. It's pure joy for all of us Smile

shivbrown · 17/05/2016 06:33

Me and my little one create special memory's every single day, Whether its Raining or Sunny we are always out in the fresh air having fun. My sons favourite thing to do is jump in muddy puddles. We recently found a Muddy Puddle on a very hot day in the local park he loved it :)

All kids need is a little help, a little hope and someone who believes in them
and you will have the best days x
