We’ve been asked by Cadbury Buttons to find out about the everyday precious moments you share with your child, that fill you with joy.

So, what are your everyday shared moments of joy? Perhaps it's singing along in the car to a favourite tune or re-reading a favourite book together? Maybe it's watching a favourite movie together for the umpteenth time, or that last cuddle before they go to sleep?

Whatever your shared moments of joy are, please share them with Cadbury Buttons (and each other!) below. If you have any pictures of these moments, please feel free to share them below, we’d love to see them! All MNers who post on this thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Please note your posts and images may be included on Cadbury's pages on MN, their social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks, and good luck!

Reading a book at bedtime

janeyf1 · 16/05/2016 06:57

I cherish our days out together, especially when we go our for walks and picnics and play games together. Playing amateur baseball is always fun for us and competitive!

ThemisA · 16/05/2016 07:04

It is always the simple pleasures - a cup of tea in bed (for me) and a cuddle reading a book together or watching a film my children love.

Nothing much beats wathcing them open Christmas stckings

glenka · 16/05/2016 07:15

When they say they love you for no reason.

maryandbuzz1 · 16/05/2016 07:15

Reading a bedtime story is always a special time for us. He loves stories and I enjoy the time together alone.

Elizasmum02 · 16/05/2016 07:15

mave · 16/05/2016 07:25

I definitely love snuggling up with a book with my kids. I also love hearing about their day and what they've learnt at school. I cherish every moment as I know they are growing so fast!

amyhalliday1 · 16/05/2016 07:29

Just seeing their smile every day x

It has to be how we all laugh when playing top trumps and daddy gets caught cheating trying to have a higher number than he does. Kids find this very funny when daddy get told off in a joking way

hayleylouiseswfc · 16/05/2016 07:41

When my eldest child kisses my youngest, it melts my heart. The best things in life are free.

bridge16 · 16/05/2016 07:51

I love seeing the relationship between my children everyday. They are best buddies, they miss each other when not together and they just love each other to bits. Yes they squabble like all siblings but that brotherhood between them is a joy to watch :-)

Dd has diagnosed learning difficulties, and has, at nearly 8, still got the phonics flash cards for letter sounds.
I was reading Mr Tickle to her the other night and I was moving my
Finger along the text while I read.

'Mr Tickle reached up with his...'

She pipes up:

EXTRAORDINARILY LONG AAAAAAAAARRRRRMMMMMSSS!!!

Reader, I cried! I was so proud/happy/tired because of lack of sleep/hormonal,
I just let it all out! She got the point of repetition and finally associated the long arms with Mr Tickle!

winterpark · 16/05/2016 07:59

I love to snuggle up on the sofa and watch a movie :)

cluckyhen · 16/05/2016 08:23

For me it has to be quite simply 'I love you' - especially from my ASD DS.

Ganne1 · 16/05/2016 08:27

I think our greatest pleasure was eating out or having a take-away. We always sought out vouchers or similar, so we could take them to a good restaurant (sometimes very good, such as The Crown at Whitebrook) at an affordable price. We never ate out on our own, as our children were such an (almsot adult) pleasure to be with.

amanda08 · 16/05/2016 08:42

When my nearly 12 year old asks me to come and chat with him at bed time. It's something he stopped wanting regularly a couple of years ago but occasionally he still asks and it is a special time together. We have our best chats then and its when he tells me about any worries or asks for advise. It's my favourite moment in the day with him and the older he gets, the more I cherish it.

angiehoggett · 16/05/2016 08:49

I love reading them a story before bedtime and then kissing their little heads goodnight, they look so peaceful and beautiful

phillie1 · 16/05/2016 09:21

Narnianescape · 16/05/2016 10:00

I love spending time painting with my LO

julieef · 16/05/2016 10:07

with both my children and grandchildren it is seeing the little things like their first steps, playing together and them giving me hugs

hiddenmichelle · 16/05/2016 10:37

Bathtime for me - love wrapping them up in a fluffy bath sheet and having a cuddle - bliss!

Dencop · 16/05/2016 10:39

I love those early morning cuddles and sitting round the breakfast table talking about the hope for the way they want the day to go at nursery and school and the enthusiasm

Nettie17 · 16/05/2016 10:40

Singing their favourite nursery rhyme time after time just because you love them so much

spottypjs · 16/05/2016 10:40

An unexpected hug :)

buddyboy1966 · 16/05/2016 10:49
