We have made it through the wintery months, but we’re not free from drizzly days just yet. It really is a struggle to feel good in the wind and rain, so nice ‘n easy would love you to share the things that you do to make yourself feel at your best.

Here’s what nice ‘n easy have to say: “The beginning of the year is often gloomy, Christmas is long gone and the days are short and dark. But with Spring just around the corner, and sun just a promise away, it’s time to get out and give yourself a lighter, sunkissed look. ‘As we have more sunny days our skin tone warms up and therefore your hair colour needs to adjust to complement it. Going one or two shades lighter softens the darker tones we have often used during the winter. It’s all about having a natural look, as if your hair has been kissed by the Spring sunshine’ says our colour expert colour expert Jonathan Long”

So, is a hot bath with some posh candles just what you need to perk yourself up in the dark winter months? Perhaps you like to learn a new skill or get involved in an evening class? Do you brighten yourself up by changing your hair colour, or by starting a new skin routine to give yourself a glow? Whatever it is that you do to boost your confidence, let nice ‘n easy know.

Please add your comment or tip below and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop gift voucher.

Bit of make up on and hair blow dried nice gives me a shortterm boost.
Long term i think learning new things and going to new places broadens my horizons, greatly impoves my sense of self worth and so is a good long term confidence boost.

With 3 children and 3 stepchildren I feel run ragged some times. I really do feel more confident and sble to deal with stroppy teenagers and being unpaid taxi driver to them all. Once week instead of quick shower, I have lovely bath with candles, go in my bedroom, paint my nails, moisture all over, straighten my hair. Makes me feel wonderful and confident and actually bit special. It probably only lasts till next morning when teenagers are screaming at each other, little ones are whining about not finding certain rubber they want take to school etc. but I can always dream for that one evening that I'm this super model, with perfect confidence and swishy hair even if it is just hiding in bedroom after a bath, painting nails and shouting leave me alone for ten minutes hehe 😂

Smile, even when you don't feel like it. Especially when you don't feel like it!

Obviously there are some situations & circumstances where this is total bs, but, day to day, when I'm being a bit worn out by the relentless business of life, it does help

Spend time with people who are positive rather than a negative influence. You will draw from their energy and this will give you a confident feeling.

Get dressed up and do your hair and make up. It always makes me feel more confident.

try not to walk into a room or new situation and worry about how others are perceiving you. For once allow yourself to be the person that is worthy enough to make decisions and be confident

A simple tip for being more confident is to walk tall and put your shoulders back. When you pretend to be more confident by doing this weirdly you do actually become more confident.

Being around friends who love you for who you are and who care not a jot about appearances. Since finding that I've become so much more comfortable in my own skin. It comes with age as well

Stop comparing yourself to every glam celeb you see..... as long as my roots aren't showing and make ups on I'm ready to face the world.... the saying goes.... FAKE it until you MAKE it. ☺

Learning something new always boosts my confidence, no matter how small a thing it is.

Learning is a GreatThing to do whether it's signing up for an evening class or learning a different language at home.
Next time you talk yourself out of doing something i.e a party invite, a challenging project or whatever, just think stuff it, and do it anyway

Easy, have your hair done, even if it's only a wash and blow dry it makes a huge difference. Every time I have my hair done I always say I'm never going to leave it that long again to have it done, but I always do lol

A long hot shower, a conditioning treatment on the hair, a good scrub, coat of mascara and I always feel a million times better.

For me its always a new hair colour, brightening up the blonde usually. And a new makeup of some sort. I love new lippy. :)

When I can't sleep at night (especially frustrating when my 6 month old is asleep and I'm awake!!) I repeat over and over in my head 'do what you need'...sounds a bit foolish I know, but it tells me that worrying about whatever is my latest worry is no good for my body or my family, the best thing I can do is sleep. It usually works after a few minutes and it helps me feel more grounded. I also make sure I have perfectly polished toenails, but that's just decoration!

All over body scrub always makes me feel good. A splash of red lipstick and a good haircut.

put on a bit of mascara and lippy then stop worrying about what other people think we all have fairly normal lives
Put some music on and dance then out the door and face what ever the day throws at you

Make sure you stand straight and smile lots. Also, make sure you're wearing nice, clean clothing and wear make up if that helps too!
