We’ve been asked by Pampers to find out which songs get your babies grooving.

Pampers says, "Here at Pampers we know that babies love to get their groove on without a saggy nappy getting in the way. That’s why NEW Pampers Active Fit have Magical Pods, absorbent channels that help to distribute wetness evenly, so they don’t sag and stay up to 2 times drier than the next leading brand. We’d love to hear what song gets your baby moving – let us know by commenting on the thread below. Plus you can try new Pampers Active Fit for free here.

So, do you have a traditional lullaby that your baby loves? Maybe your toddler loves to boogie to the radio, or do you and your DCs even make up your own songs? Perhaps there’s a song that gets everybody moving in your family and you can never get out of your head!

Pampers would also love to hear about the stories behind the song, for example, what made them meaningful in your family, and why you think your baby loves a particular song?

Share the songs that get your babies grooving on this thread, whether they are nursery rhymes, top ten hits or theme tunes from their favourite shows!

Everyone who posts on this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a £300 Love2Shop voucher!

Thanks and good luck,

My toddler loves 'I am a shape' from Mr Maker Cbeebies Smile

MsJuniper · 25/02/2016 23:29

DS is 3 and into his music in a sometimes scarily intense way. We'll often be told to sit down for a performance which might be a rendition of You are like a Hurricane on the guitar, or a modernist instrumental piece on the xylophone. I can't wait for his teens.

My mum has been his biggest influence and has given him several CDs with all the old kids classics on, Max Bygraves etc.

No doubt about it though, his all-time favourite song (possibly as it is a metaphor for his somewhat hectic personality) is The Runaway Train. Highly appropriate today as The Flying Scotsman took to the rails! Whooooooooooooooo! Smile

My daughter always loved it when Wet Wet Wets 'Love is all around me' came on the CD player.
I had the soundtrack to Four weddings and a funeral and she would kick her legs and wave her arms whenever the song finished asking for it again!

She did also love Twinkle Twinkle little star and Lullaby and Goodnight.

StickChildNumberTwo · 26/02/2016 18:51

CMOTDibbler · 26/02/2016 19:05

When ds was a baby we used to sing 'you're just too good to be true' to him and he loved it. In the 'I love you baby' chorus bit we always did ' I love you ds'.

When my eldest DD was about 9 months old, we visited my sister in Canada. She handed down some CD's that she had used when her children were smaller. There was one song "Skinny Ma Rink a Dink" that had actions and my sister used to sing it with her whilst we were visiting and we carried it on at home. She always loved that and, when my youngest DD was born 11 years later, we still had the same CD with the same track and went through the whole process again.

My 2 year old likes Up town Funk and All about that Bass.

MustBeThursday · 27/02/2016 11:24

10 thousand Green Bottles. No idea why, but it's calmed her right from the start, and Beep Beep Song by Simone White. Also, songs from the musical Wicked - I think maybe because I went to see it when I was pregnant and played the music a lot after because I'd enjoyed it.

Sagethyme · 27/02/2016 22:04

My DC (4 & 5) love 'lets do the time warp again' i love watching them do the moves to the music Grin
DS also loves 'away in the manager' as a lullaby at night, but i've made up some different words, as i dont want to be thinking about Christmas until at least November!

towser44 · 28/02/2016 02:04

Adele - Hello. Sings it all the time!

libra101 · 28/02/2016 06:41

My son used to love singing 'Puff, the Magic Dragon'. Haven't a clue who sung it, but I can still remember the words ...

Anam110 · 28/02/2016 07:33

My son was obsessed with Taylor Swift – I knew you were trouble. It was one of the first songs he started singing even though he could not pronounce the words properly. He ignored all the chorus. And I have so many hilarious videos of his attempts to sing the song!

Spencer1234 · 28/02/2016 07:34

Row your boat was always my boys favourite, so cute when he would pretend to row and rock himself back and forth

glenka · 28/02/2016 07:34

Roraima · 28/02/2016 07:57
