To celebrate the launch of DisneyLife, the new digital membership service from Disney, they'd love to hear about your favourite Disney films from your childhood and whether you've shared this film with your DCs.

Here's what DisneyLife says "We're so excited to launch DisneyLife, which gives the whole family access to a fantastic collection of Disney and DisneyPixar movies, Disney Channels TV box sets, books, music and more, in one place. DisneyLife will help create magical moments for the whole family to share, so we're keen to hear about your favourite Disney film from childhood and if you've shared a magical moment with your children by watching this together."

So, what was your favourite Disney film when you were a child? Maybe The Jungle Book was your favourite and you would always sing along to the Bare Necessities? Or perhaps you loved Peter Pan and wished you could fly around Neverland? Maybe you watched Pocahontas repeatedly and wanted to learn to paint with all the colours of the wind? Have you shared your favourite Disney film with your DCs?

Whatever your favourite Disney film was, DisneyLife would love to hear about it!

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered in to a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks & good luck,

The little mermaid. I loved singing all the songs and going to the swimming pool pretending to be a mermaid.

GeneralLeia · 22/12/2015 14:09

Stupid servers still down at the Disney life site.

I am completely put off signing up as they can't get this sorted so what sort of crappy service will they be providing?

scrappydappydoo · 22/12/2015 14:29

Pete's Dragon - I first saw it when I was 3 and sobbed my heart out at the end because I was so happy that Pete got a family but sad that Elliott had to leave. To me it perfectly represents that happy sad emotion that Disney does so well.

TheHelpfulHiker · 22/12/2015 14:34

My favorite was (and still is) Beauty and the Beast, i remember seeing it at the cinema for my birthday. As I liked reading I always thought I was a bit like Belle! Also loved Jungle Book, Robin Hood, The Fox abs the hound and controversially, Basil the Great Mouse Dectective which nobody else has seen!

ButWaitTheresMyrrh · 22/12/2015 14:48

I really loved Aladdin as a kid (still do!)
I have no idea how many times I've watched it, but I still laugh at the jokes all these years later. Robin Williams was just fantastic as the genie, and of course I always shed a tear at him being freed at the end.
It just has everything, catchy songs, brilliant bad guy, kick ass princess.
When I watched it with DD she loved Abu and Iago and was sat in silence, wide eyed for the whole film GrinWink

Pengweng · 22/12/2015 16:01

Beauty and the Beast because Belle loved to read just like me.

As a little girl my favourite film was Cinderella - we have a home video of our first trip to Disneyland Paris, I met Cinderella and apparently I was convinced I was going to live with her in her castle (I was about 5!)

My DS (nearly 3yo) likes the mice in Cinderella, but his current favourite films are Bolt and Monster Inc

duggerlugs · 22/12/2015 16:49

I loved Jungle Book..I had a part in the school play when I was little and so remember the songs. Instinctively when my little girl was small I began to sing the elephant song to her when bouncing. She's now 15 months old and when we watched the film for the first time she pointed and danced when that song came on

ChubbyKitty · 22/12/2015 17:00

My favourite has always been 101 Dalmatians - I was given a plush Pongo when I was a year old and still have him(as a 24 year old married woman), although my nana recently had to sew his shoulders up and put a new ribbon collar on him because he was falling to pieces from being squeezed Blush

katiewalters · 22/12/2015 17:03

mine was beauty and the beast, im 30 now and its still my favourite disney film. I have it on dvd. I have a 2year old daughter, she loves frozen, but im determined to get her to love beauty and the beast as much as i do

Theimpossiblegirl · 22/12/2015 17:05

I loved Beauty and the Beast too. I've always been a keen reader so thought I was Belle!

GingerIvy · 22/12/2015 17:14

Mine have seen most of the main Disney films many times. I haven't share my favourite two films with them but I don't know if they are even available on DVD. They are "The Happiest Millionaire" and "The One and Only Genuine Original Family Band." And yes, I realise that dates me as quite old. Grin

HawkEyeTheNoo · 22/12/2015 17:14

Snow White!! My mum took me to the cinema to see it, I was about 4. My mum had this big long scarf on (possibly winter but as we are Scotland it could also have been summer!!) when Snow White "died" and was in the glass coffin my mum said "oh Hawk, she's dead" I was using her scarf to wipe away my tears and I suddenly stood up, grabbing her scarf and shouted "let's get out of here!!", I nearly throttled my mum with the scarf and she fell over the people at sat at the side of me as I dragged her along! Apparently all the adults were in stitches and she had to calm me down and say wait and see what happens!!

GetKnitted · 22/12/2015 17:24

We didn't go to the cinema much when I was small, so the Disney films of my childhood were the old ones on TV. I still love a bit of dumbo and Mary poppins

anonooo · 22/12/2015 17:31

The Aristocats. I loved the music, the hipness of it, well I did not know it was hip at the time, but that 60s look was really good. Loved all the ones I saw back then. lady and the Tramp, The Jungle Book. It was before Disney got schmaltzy with terrible terrible songs.

sharond101 · 22/12/2015 17:39

I loved Beauty and the Beast as Belle was so pretty.

SerenityReynolds · 22/12/2015 17:45

Aladdin. Iago (the parrot) is one of my favourite characters and Robin Williams is fantastic as the genie. The songs are great and Jasmine is a great, strong Disney princess.

The Little Mermaid would also be up there, purely because I love "Under the Sea" Grin

Gen · 22/12/2015 17:54

The Rescuers seen at the cinema. Robin Hood also. Mum told me story of Bambi, and even now will not watch it, far too sad!!

loosechange · 22/12/2015 18:01

Tricky. I loved Disney as a child. Mary Poppins probably wins. We watched it over and over again. Slightly later Aladdin came out and U loved that, despite possibly being older than I ought to have been to like Aladdin.

PicnicPie · 22/12/2015 18:02

Pinocchio! My mum recorded it off the telly. So I would watch it over and over again on our vcr. The songs were great. I loved gipetto's workshop. I am 30 and only realised the other day that the version I watched was made in 1940.

Such a lovely story, albeit scary at times!

Definitely my all time fave and can't wait to watch with my DD'S.

LovelyWeatherForDucks · 22/12/2015 18:04

I loved Aristicats (had the VHS!) and Snow White - fond memories of watching it at my grandmas house with my cousins!

TheBestChocolateIsFree · 22/12/2015 18:17

My family loved The Rescuers. We all saw it on a family Saturday morning screening and my DF laughed until he cried at Evinrude the temperamental dragonfly, and I loved the evil pussy cat.

sleepyMe12 · 22/12/2015 18:51

Aladin, it's just absolutely perfect.

BathshebaDarkstone · 22/12/2015 19:21

All of them! Grin

DingleberryFinn · 22/12/2015 19:40

Beauty & The Beast - my brother and I found Gaston hilarious!
