To celebrate the launch of DisneyLife, the new digital membership service from Disney, they'd love to hear about your favourite Disney films from your childhood and whether you've shared this film with your DCs.

Here's what DisneyLife says "We're so excited to launch DisneyLife, which gives the whole family access to a fantastic collection of Disney and DisneyPixar movies, Disney Channels TV box sets, books, music and more, in one place. DisneyLife will help create magical moments for the whole family to share, so we're keen to hear about your favourite Disney film from childhood and if you've shared a magical moment with your children by watching this together."

So, what was your favourite Disney film when you were a child? Maybe The Jungle Book was your favourite and you would always sing along to the Bare Necessities? Or perhaps you loved Peter Pan and wished you could fly around Neverland? Maybe you watched Pocahontas repeatedly and wanted to learn to paint with all the colours of the wind? Have you shared your favourite Disney film with your DCs?

Whatever your favourite Disney film was, DisneyLife would love to hear about it!

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered in to a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Check out our bloggers review of DisneyLife in the new video:

Thanks & good luck,

101 Dalmations and inconsolable that it was aired last year for the 1st time but on Xmas Eve and I missed it.
Jungle Book.
There were many very moving animal films over which I sobbed with emotion. One was called The Hound that thought it was a Racoon. I have forgotten the names of the others.
They were not documentaries but that did not matter to me.

Bambi ..... i remember how much i cried it in and haven't been able to rewatch it again!! But it certainly is the movie that springs to mind that i remember feeling that real emotion of sadness when watching

When I was 4, my Granny took me to see Santa and he asked me for my name and I told him it was Mowgli Grin !

Jungle Book is a childhood classic. In later years, I loved Hercules which is grossly underrated. It needs to be made into a stage show!!

My favourite Disney movie as a child was the Jungle Book. We loved singing along to it (and still do). I really enjoyed being able to watch it with DD1 for the first time and was delighted that she enjoyed the songs as much as I do.
She also loves the Lion King and singing along.
I remember going to see Bambi at the cinema and crying when Bambi's mother got shot. I think I'll wait a while before watching that with DD1.
Both DDs love Frozen, particularly the soundtrack. I think the Disney soundtracks are what makes them so special.

I think I'm so old that when I was a child Disney still did that 7 year rotation thing with the old movies, introducing several new ones during the course of my childhood. Of the in 'rotation' ones, Dumbo particularly sticks out for me, probably because it's one of the first films I had seen. And that 'drunk Dumbo' scene is surreal and is etched in my memory in a way that no other Disney film scenes are.

And of the ones released in my childhood years, The Aristocats and Robin Hood tie for top place.

And in the mid 1970s I remember that every Monday evening (ahead of Panorama BB1 or The Waltons BBC2) there used to be a Disney programme, with my favourite line ever "You can do it Duffy Moon" coming from one of the dramas.

I think the only Disney we saw was Fantasia. Our parents didn't approve of the Disney way of changing the endings to happy ones, and their blatant sexism.

So Fantasia was my favourite Disney.

DD did see it, but it didn't seem to hold a candle to the new animations like Toy Story, or Finding Nemo (she hates TS and FN, btw!, but enjoys Shrek and Ice Age etc. Not sure why.).

We have watched Peter Pan and Beauty and the Beast, but none of use rate them much.

Oh god, so tough to choose! I properly love(d) disney, probably between the little mermaid or beauty and the beast...or Aladdin.

Although I then wrote coursework on 'women in disney' for my GCSEs and loved watching Mulan and Meg (Hercules) then too!

I can remember being taken by my Aunty to see The Rescuers at the cinema, not sure how old I was, will have to go and google it and see when it was released!
June 1977 - oh it could have been my birthday treat then, I turned 4 that year. I really loved the sardine tin aeroplane :D

But my absolute favourite is and always has been Cinderella, I totally love it, enjoyed re-living it with my older kids (now 24 and 21) and have recently been able to introduce my 2yo DD to it :D she's obsessed and I'm not discouraging it Xmas Grin

We're actually watching it right now on Netflix! DD requests it at least 4 times a week, still know all the words... Cinderelly Cinderelly, night and day it's Cinderelly..... :D

Mary poppins and Cinderella were firm favourites. My daughter's just started watching films and loves Cinderella. Really must find Mary poppins for her to watch too...

Snow White.

Only a cold-hearted stepmother could not pee herself with excitement when the dwarves start to sing "hi hoooooo, hi hooooo...". I remember seeing it and squealing with delight when the dwarves sang.

Even at my advanced age it's a tune I can hum and feel happy.

Mary Poppins. Bert and his dodgy accent is classic!

the kids are so cute!

the songs are great- my faves are chim chim cheree, and feed the birds.

feed the birds has ALWAYS made me cry, a lovely song, and the old Lady on the steps of St Pauls always set me off....doing it now as I type Sad.oh gosh, Im genuinely crying thinking about it.

and the story. I know it was extremely Disneyfied, but the lack of attention from the dad for his kids and the hunger to work instead of spending time with them really really resonates with me, personal experience.

the man with the wooden leg named Smith Grin.

I also love the Jungle book.

And Cars and Cars 2- DCs faves.

the ones that scared me were the witch in Snow White and the whale in Pinochio (thatw as on yesterday and still freaked me out!)

And Bed Knobs and Broomsticks too.

Was Herbie a Disney franchise? Those ones stand out in my memory.

Mine was Return to Oz. My sister was also obsessed with it. It was actually really scary and very dark but I didn't see this at the time. I fancy watching it again now you've reminded me about it!

Little mermaid was the first one I saw at the cinema, lion king sound track was actually my first ever cd.
The black cauldron is one of my all time favourites-and one of the least we'll known.
Mickeys Christmas Carol made Xmas for me,we kept the tape-and player in the attic with the tree until last year when the tape was damaged.heartbroken because I've never found the original full length again, the ones on DVD are different.
I couldn't pick a favourite,I love Disney.

My favourite was Snow White even though I found the part where Snow White is handed the apple to eat really scary! I loved her hair and her dress. I loved the cottage she lived in and the outfits worn by the dwarves. I even dressed up as one of the dwarves for a school dressing up day. I really wanted to be able to draw the scenes but I was never much of an artist!

It is really hard to choose!

I absolutely loved Fantasia (and I love Fantasia 2000 too but didn't see that until it was recently released on DVD), Alice in Wonderland, Robin Hood and Sword in the Stone. It made me so happy when Fantasia was released on DVD, I'd been searching for it for ages, I actually shed a tear when I saw the preorder sign come up... Blush DCs love it too.

But if I really have to make a choice, my absolute favourite would have to be Donald in Mathmagic Land. I have always been a maths geek and that film just fascinated me, I watched it repeatedly. I remember my dad (similarly geeky) explaining the Fibonacci spiral bit and then showing me on Excel how you got the golden mean etc.

Similar to Fantasia, I went years without seeing it (didn't have a VHS player at that time - we do now though :o) but when I had my first baby, my friend from college gave us a gift... it was DIMML on DVD! He put a note with it about passing on the love of maths to the next generation :) :)
