Thirty-five years since his first appearance, the Milk Tray Man is back and is being re-imagined for the 21st century. Cadbury are keen to hear from Mumsnetters about who they think best represents the modern Milk Tray Man (or woman!).

Cadbury say “The Milk Tray man is back and he’ll be daring but caring, thoughtful yet thrill-seeking - and he’ll go to any lengths to deliver a box of Milk Tray to a loved one.”

What traits do you think the modern Milk Tray Man or woman should have, and who do you think best embodies these qualities? Your favourite actor, dressed to thrill in a smart black polo neck and grappling hooks Grin. Your best friend, who’s helped you through some tough times? Maybe your partner has all the key qualities?

Whomever you think represents the modern Milk Tray Man, Cadbury would love to hear about it.

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 Experience Day Gift Card for you and your loved one(s).*

You can make your own nomination over here and don't forget to tell us on this thread too.

Thanks

I think the milk tray person should encompass kindness and saying thank you, teachers, nurses, all allied health professionals, Doctors, people in the forces, police, firemen, paramedics... make a new kind of advert!

For me the idea MT man wouldn't sneak in my window, he'd already be there. He'd be home from work half an hour before me and would have the dinner started.

He'd mAke me laugh, by quick-witted and entertaining and be about six inches taller than me.

Oh, and to repeat, he would not sneak in Windows, mine or anyone else's, cos that is just weird.

kierie · 30/10/2015 10:45

Slumped on the sofa after a tiring day of parenting, cooking, cleaning, working etc and my other half comes in with tea and treats. My hero! P.s. he does help with jobs too!

GloGirl · 30/10/2015 10:52

I love Cormoran's idea of a MT man.

Mine ocassionally takes the kids on a walk to the shops and brings me back chocolate so I can eat whilst he puts the children to bed. Genuinely my hero.

meggysar · 30/10/2015 11:16

At the moment Gleb Savchenko waltzing into my home with a box of Milk Tray would suit me fine!

SIDNEY65 · 30/10/2015 11:33

Daniel Craig is my Milk Tray man, shaken not stirred.

grecka · 30/10/2015 11:58

My ideal Milk Tray man would always put our family first, no matter what!

anteena · 30/10/2015 12:24

ooh henry v111 himself Jonathan Rhys Meyers

KarenHL · 30/10/2015 12:48

If I had to choose an actor, my milk tray man would be either Luca Zingaretti, Lee Thompson Young, or if we're going for cheesy retro Cesare Bocci.

However, I already have an equivalent. Today I am ill and struggling to look after the children when I feel awful. I (v.unusually) asked DH to go to work late as I knew I'd find the am difficult with having had little sleep and being ill. He couldn't due to meetings. DH is going to come home early from work, cook tea, wash up, amuse children and probably find me a nice nibble to try and make me feel better. Failing which, cuddles.

emily13 · 30/10/2015 13:03

cathyov · 30/10/2015 13:39

My Milk Tray man would have to be my husband - not only would he go out of his way to get me the chocolates he would also help share them too! Furthermore I would be happy to return the compliment and be his Milk Tray lady!

tamalyn1 · 30/10/2015 14:27

george clooney yum unfortunately milk tray has changed, the strabwerry creams taste totally different boooo

cluckyhen · 30/10/2015 15:23

I think that Prince William or Harry would make perfect Milk Tray men. Not so much because they 'make women swoon' (they don't for me) but because they are down to earth, honest, admirable young men who support our wonderful and diverse nation and are not ashamed to show it.

ha2el · 30/10/2015 15:32

Hugh Jackman

sweetnuttydogs · 30/10/2015 15:40

Tom Hardy, but I do think its a little outdated now days, maybe a complete change would be better
