McCain has asked us to find out what Mumsnetters’ favourite family teatime meal is.

Here’s what they say, “5th October sees the launch of the Nation’s Teatimes campaign by McCain, which sees the brand turn real families into teatime TV stars. McCain is asking real families from across the UK to share real life video clips of themselves enjoying their tea on their dedicated hub www.mccainteatime.co.uk. From Monday to Thursday, the family videos from across the country will be edited against the clock into a McCain ’Teatime Today' advert and aired on ITV later that same evening at 8.45pm during a teatime ad-break.”

Whether you eat tea around the table or tucked up on the sofa, from the hectic to the calm, to over in a flash, no matter what teatime is like in your house there is always good stuff happening and it's where some great family moments take place.

So, what’s your favourite family teatime meal? Maybe you love your family pizza evenings when everyone helps to add their own toppings? Do you have a great beef casserole that everyone enjoys? Or is just beans on toast that the family love?! Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it!

spaghetti bolognese is great for us .

pasta, and everybody add their own bits to it, four people, four different tastes

we love a nice roast chicken with all the trimmings

Nachos followed by Fajitas.
A very sociable meal

Fish and chips and mushy peas :-)

Chilli Con Carne - either with rice or on a jacket potato

Sunday roast is our family favourite

For us it's spaghetti bolognese with a side salad,

Burritos! We can all choose the fillings we like - black beans, rice, cheese, avocado, sour cream

Our absolute favourite is home made lasagne, and I love cooking it because it can all be prepared early and go in the oven later, more afternoon fun time for us :)

A very large Shepherd's Pie with lots of sliced tomatoes on top, and lots of green veg.

potato skins filled with cheese and bacon with some lovely pulled pork on the side. Kids love it. Quick, easy and really tasty

Fajitas are great, everyone an fix the fillings to suit what they like.

DD particularly loves sausage and mash, so I make that for us a lot.

I would say fish/scampi and chips but my DP isn't a fan of fish, so only when he is out! Don't know if it counts as a family meal...

Cheese and ham pasta bake

We love making our own pizzas using pitta breads, tomato purée and a range of toppings.

Fajitas are a favourite too. It seems to be the element of preparing the food themselves that the DCs especially enjoy.

Most frequently requested here is good old shepherds Pie

Enchiladas is our family favorite for a Saturday and we all love a roast dinner.

my kids all love pasta , thats the only thing they agree on at the moment , i usually do a big bowl of pasta with a pasta sauce and chicken breasts sliced up go into it and the kids wolf it down !

Our whole family loves tuna pasta bake

It has got to be great big paella that everyone can just tuck into. :)

Pasta pomodoro with fresh basil and mozarella. The family would eat this 3-4 times a week if they could.

Thai Green Curry! I love it and the kids love it! WOnderful!

Mmmmm lasagne, salad and some garlic bread!

Although in the summer or at the caravan, nothing beats a BBQ.
