McCain has asked us to find out what Mumsnetters’ favourite family teatime meal is.

Here’s what they say, “5th October sees the launch of the Nation’s Teatimes campaign by McCain, which sees the brand turn real families into teatime TV stars. McCain is asking real families from across the UK to share real life video clips of themselves enjoying their tea on their dedicated hub www.mccainteatime.co.uk. From Monday to Thursday, the family videos from across the country will be edited against the clock into a McCain ’Teatime Today' advert and aired on ITV later that same evening at 8.45pm during a teatime ad-break.”

Whether you eat tea around the table or tucked up on the sofa, from the hectic to the calm, to over in a flash, no matter what teatime is like in your house there is always good stuff happening and it's where some great family moments take place.

So, what’s your favourite family teatime meal? Maybe you love your family pizza evenings when everyone helps to add their own toppings? Do you have a great beef casserole that everyone enjoys? Or is just beans on toast that the family love?! Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it!

Salmon and broccoli cheesy pasta bake - yummy!

Scrambled egg sandwiches

Our favourite family meal is my chicken breast fillets stuffed with garlic butter, served with spinach, juicy cherry tomatoes, homemade spicy potato wedges (that even the little ones love) Carrots, a little chicken stock and homemade tomato salsa
It is healthy, filling and VERY tasty!!!!
Sometimes I wrap the chicken portions with a bacon

My youngest son would choose chicken nuggets and smiley faces but I'm a lasagne fan with chips and coleslaw

Fish fingers, chips & mushy peas is a big favourite here.

Our favourite meal is paprika chicken cooked in a bag and served in a wrap with salad and chips

Lamb tagine

I buy concentrated curry paste from the chinese shop, Cook a chicken, onion and mushrooms, mix in with the sauce, Boil some rice, fry some chips, Hey presto you very own chinese, at afraction of the cost of a takeaway.

One of our favourite meals is Lasagne

bangers beans & chips

Chili Con Carne with Jacket Potato with a salad or vegetable side and crusty bread is the favourite in our house

we love a beef roast dinner

Spaghetti bolognaise is a favourite with the whole family, and the kids love fish fingers or sausage with mash and peas or chips!

My children love to make home made lasagne and they take turns in putting the pasta and sauce on in layers :)
We are all sit down and enjoy it and they always so proud and enjoy it more when they have made it too x

The kids love gravy so any meal with that is good. They esp like mince in gravy when served with yorkshire puddings. They put the mince inside the puddings and gobble them up. (with veg, potato etc as well of course, not just mince and yorkies!)

Sausages done with onions and baked beans with grated cheese on top and served with baked potato or chips

Sweet chilli chicken and noodles. It goes down a treat even with the kids.

Chilli con carne is always recieved with open arms in our home

We all love scrambled egg with mushrooms on hot buttered toast for tea (followed by a slither of carrot cake!)

A lovely roast beef dinner with Yorkshire puds! Hmm!

I live in a house with a fussy partner and 3 fussy boys but we have found a meal that we all love and that is toad in the hole.
