McCain has asked us to find out what Mumsnetters’ favourite family teatime meal is.

Here’s what they say, “5th October sees the launch of the Nation’s Teatimes campaign by McCain, which sees the brand turn real families into teatime TV stars. McCain is asking real families from across the UK to share real life video clips of themselves enjoying their tea on their dedicated hub www.mccainteatime.co.uk. From Monday to Thursday, the family videos from across the country will be edited against the clock into a McCain ’Teatime Today' advert and aired on ITV later that same evening at 8.45pm during a teatime ad-break.”

Whether you eat tea around the table or tucked up on the sofa, from the hectic to the calm, to over in a flash, no matter what teatime is like in your house there is always good stuff happening and it's where some great family moments take place.

So, what’s your favourite family teatime meal? Maybe you love your family pizza evenings when everyone helps to add their own toppings? Do you have a great beef casserole that everyone enjoys? Or is just beans on toast that the family love?! Whatever it is, we’d love to hear it!

I love a meal we can all eat and which I can leave in the slow cooker all day so bolognese sauce is a winner.

I make my own pizzas, the family favourite is 2 meals in one, vegetarian Mexican Chilli Pizza

Sausage and mash potato! We all love it.

Fish fingers,chips and peas (plus a lice of bread & butter).

Our family favourite is making our own pizzas. I make the dough before they get home from school, and the girls add the toppings of their choice. Great for when their friends come for tea too - gets everyone involved.

In our house we looooooove the british classics-

Shepherds Pie
Sausage, Mash and Pies
Fish and chips
Vegetable stew and dumplings

To be host, we just love food in general at our house lol

The only meal that we all love is homemade potato pie, kids cant get enough of it :)

A nicce chicken thigh with pancetta peas sweatcorn, goes nicely with chunky chips, pasta, gnochi, rice and its very quick to cook

Shepherds Pie at this time of the year. Stew and dumplings are often requested as well.

Our favourite family meal is simply sausages, new potatoes and mixed vegetables

Always a chicken jalfrezi with rice, naan bread and freshly cooked poppadoms with mango chutney

Fishfinger butties

ours is home made slow cooked doner kebabs (fakeaway) we all love them, filled with salad or cheese in pitta bread, yummy

crabmeat sandwiches and trifle (not in the same bowl, obviously)

pizza with fries or pasta meals

Toad in the hole! My little girl loves sausages and also Yorkshires and it's so easy to make!

Our favourite is lasagne with garlic bread and salad!

Beef stew and dumplings with crusty bread to dip.

My kids ask for Pasta every night but their all time favourite (and ours) is when we make homemade pizza together! Its a mess and chaos but good fun and the kids love it!
