To celebrate the launch of the Warburtons Paddington film ticket promotion across all of their Half & Half products, the UK’s number 1 bakery brand is asking Mumsnetters to share their families’ favourite sandwich fillings for the chance to win a family cinema gift voucher loaded with £200.

Are you creatures of habit like Paddington with his marmalade sandwiches? Does your family all have the same sandwich filling or does everyone get to choose their own? Simply share your family’s favourite sandwich filling on this thread by 28 November and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 cinema gift voucher.

Warburtons say their Warbeartons Half and Half range [do you see what they did there?] are a delicious blend of 50% wholegrain and 50% white flour, to provide families with essential fibre in every bite. Pick up any two packs of Warbeartons Half & Half Rolls, Thins, Wraps or Loaves to get a child’s ticket at all Cineworld cinemas, valid until 19th January 2015. Visit Facebook.com/Warburtons for more information.

Thanks and good luck!

PLUS…Warburtons, a proud sponsor of the world premiere of the new Paddington movie which is being held on 23rd November, is looking for a young star aged 5-10 yrs old to attend the exclusive event as its ‘Bread Carpet Reporter’ and interview the stars. There are also five pairs of premiere tickets for the runners-up. For further details and information on how to enter, visit Facebook.com/Warburtons

Ds likes plain ham.
I like chicken, spinach and mayo - and Of course lots of butter!
Dh likes cheese and pickle :)

itsonlysubterfuge · 18/11/2014 08:02

I love an egg sandwich with a fried egg and some cheese.

My husband likes just butter and possibly chocolate.

My daughter loves peanut butter and I do too.

halestone · 18/11/2014 09:22

Either Turkey and Stuffing or Chicken and Stuffing.

del2929 · 18/11/2014 09:24

it has to be egg mayo and cheeeeese!!

Trudyla · 18/11/2014 09:32

All different:

DH: peanut butter (possibly a crisp or fishfinger sandwich)

DD: jam, jam, jam

DS: marmite

me: egg, mayo, prawns

I've started to really like the fluffer nutter (marshmallow fluff and peanut butter).

Britishdisneydiva · 18/11/2014 11:07

Nothing better than a deli style sandwich - Mayo with pastrami and smoked cheese slices. Yum

hydra234 · 18/11/2014 11:09

Weird, but a really mature cheddar with apple sauce!

BellaVida · 18/11/2014 11:10

We are all a bit different in our tastes, but there are a few overlaps! Common favourites are:

Cured ham, fresh tomato and a drizzle of olive oil in crusty bread.
Bacon and scrambled egg rolls with a bit of salt & black pepper.
Goats cheese, lettuce, peppers with sweet relish or caramelized onion.

Oh and on occasion my guilty pleasure......chocolate spread and ready salted crisps!!

Cambam2010 · 18/11/2014 11:17

My favourites are a banana sandwich with thick butter, a salad cream sandwich or sliced pork with loads of salt.

My DS will only eat marmite sandwiches

As i'm starting to get in the mood for Christmas I am craving turkey, cranberry and stuffing in my sandwiches. Can't wait to get that turkey roasting!

pixiedusk · 18/11/2014 12:08

Mommy - Bacon/Chorizo and maple syrup

Daddy - Pulled pork

Son - Nutella with banana

Idontneedanotherhero · 18/11/2014 12:18

There is nothing, I repeat, nothing better than a crispy bacon sandwich on warburtons white bread with lurpak butter and a pickled onion. Sublime!

duckbilled · 18/11/2014 13:07

peanut butter and banana

gildedlily · 18/11/2014 13:17

There's no sandwich middle ground for us. DS1 likes peanut butter. DS2 goes for cream cheese and for me it's Stilton and mango chutney.

HannahLI · 18/11/2014 13:23

We are creatures of habit and I really like cheese and salad as a filling for mine and my boys like ham in their sandwiches.

hannibalismisunderstood · 18/11/2014 13:28

we like peanut butter and banana or Brie and strawberry jam!

rollmeover · 18/11/2014 13:41

Ham and coleslaw for me. Dh likes tuna mayo (I know, I cant believe Im still with him either), DD likes cheese and ds (age 10mths) likes cream cheese as he can squish it as tight as possible so it turns to liquid almost as it oozes through his fingers. Lovely.

Maddaddam · 18/11/2014 13:43

4 of us have 5 favourites between us.

dd1 and me. Homemade wholemeal bread, marmite and cream cheese. (actually that's not my favourite but it's my easy quick staple to make and it doesn't fall apart in my bag on the way to work).
dd2 Homemade wholemeal bread, cheese and salad.
dd3 Wrap with hummous and cucumber.
DP. Sliced wholemeal from shop with cheese (no salad).

NoisyOyster · 18/11/2014 13:50

Taramasalata and pastrami.

Oh. My. Goodness it's magical. Don't knock it till you've tried it!!

mummyofcutetwo · 18/11/2014 13:51

I'm a proper little Paddington in that I love marmalade sandwiches (tangerine and mandarins marmalade for me!). DH and both DSs like marmite sandwiches (called marmamite by DS1, who got the names marmalade and marmite confused from an early age).

A favourite sandwich is peanut butter, cream cheese, raw onion and crispy bacon. Yum. Only for high days and holidays though!

motleymop · 18/11/2014 13:56

Prawn mayo and lettuce (preferably Iceberg).

Marmaladecat1 · 18/11/2014 14:00

Cheese and marmite!

Gammon and pickled walnuts

starlight36 · 18/11/2014 14:26

Cheese, ham and cucumber.
