To celebrate the launch of the Warburtons Paddington film ticket promotion across all of their Half & Half products, the UK’s number 1 bakery brand is asking Mumsnetters to share their families’ favourite sandwich fillings for the chance to win a family cinema gift voucher loaded with £200.

Are you creatures of habit like Paddington with his marmalade sandwiches? Does your family all have the same sandwich filling or does everyone get to choose their own? Simply share your family’s favourite sandwich filling on this thread by 28 November and you'll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £200 cinema gift voucher.

Warburtons say their Warbeartons Half and Half range [do you see what they did there?] are a delicious blend of 50% wholegrain and 50% white flour, to provide families with essential fibre in every bite. Pick up any two packs of Warbeartons Half & Half Rolls, Thins, Wraps or Loaves to get a child’s ticket at all Cineworld cinemas, valid until 19th January 2015. Visit Facebook.com/Warburtons for more information.

Thanks and good luck!

PLUS…Warburtons, a proud sponsor of the world premiere of the new Paddington movie which is being held on 23rd November, is looking for a young star aged 5-10 yrs old to attend the exclusive event as its ‘Bread Carpet Reporter’ and interview the stars. There are also five pairs of premiere tickets for the runners-up. For further details and information on how to enter, visit Facebook.com/Warburtons

Fantasy favourites:

Me - steak, fried egg, hot chili sauce, strong cheddar.
DH - fishfingers and chips with mayo and butter.
DD - Nutella. No, peanut butter and honey. And jam. NO! NUTELLA AND PEANUT BUTTER AND HONEY AND JAM!
DS - cat food, apparently, but we and the cat hope that this is a passing stage.

Actual favourites:

Me - hummus, parsley, red pepper, lemon juice
DH - fishfingers and chips with mayo and butter (incredible constitution, never puts on weight)
DD - Scrambled 'eggly'.
DS - Cucumber, very finely sliced bread, no crusts (pretty refined given the above).

Bacon and tiger bread !
Marmite , cheese , cucumber on crusty white.
I do love a marmalade sandwich but I'm the only one in the house that eats it.

StampyShortnose · 17/11/2014 22:40

We all like different sandwiches:

Me: Beef and lots of horseradish
DS1: Really strong cheddar cheese
DS2: Hummus
DP: Peanut butter

TheSpottedZebra · 17/11/2014 22:43

The most popular in our house is cheese. Cheese on its own, cheese and ham, cheese and pickle, cheese and chilli jam, cheese and tomato, cheese and avocado. Either toasted or 'raw'. But be generous wih the cheese, please.

IneedAwittierNickname · 17/11/2014 22:49

We have lots here but if I had to pick one overall it would be the simple egg and cress.

With a twist of black pepper.

I'm also a huge fan of bacon, brie, cranberry and rocket. Although this is best served in a fresh crusty french stick as oppose to bread.

TsukuruTazaki · 17/11/2014 23:02

Peanut butter or egg mayonnaise

arlittlebuttons · 17/11/2014 23:55

Pate & cucumber

johura27 · 18/11/2014 00:12

Our family favourite sandwich filling is butter spread and jam on top. My four year old child loves this for breakfast every since day.

I personally enjoy cheese salad sandwich filling or tuna with sweetcorn filling. :)

meerschweinchen · 18/11/2014 01:01

Plain cheese for me (preferably toasted)
All day breakfast sandwiches for dh
Ham for ds

ButterflyOfFreedom · 18/11/2014 04:25

I like extra mature cheddar cheese, red onion & cucumber.

DH's favourite is probably cheese & chorizo though for his packed lunch most days for work he has ham salad.

DS (2) often asks for 'bread, butter and cheese'!

Cheese on toast is also a big hit in our house and I personally love butter & marmite on toast.

Sorehead · 18/11/2014 04:38

When I was pregnant, my sandwiches of choice were grated (had to be grated or all it just wasn't the same and may have resulted in tears) cheese on brown bread, cut into triangles.

My current favourite filling is bacon, but on a soft roll with lots of butter....bliss!

DH doesn't really mind what the filling is, as long as there are LOTS of sandwiches!

magpiegin · 18/11/2014 04:44

Cheese, cheese and more cheese.

AmericasTorturedBrow · 18/11/2014 05:15

DS loves peanut butter and strawberry jam with butter on the outside and then fried

The only sandwich filling guaranteed to make DD eat it like an actual sandwich and not pull it apart is almond butter and honey

DH would probably have a fried egg sandwich as his final meal

Since moving the US nothing pains me more than not having easy access to decent bread, decent butter and decent bacon for a decent bacon butty!

Tzibeleh · 18/11/2014 07:30

I pour beaten egg into a frying pan and immediately slap a tortilla-type wrap on top. The egg cooks in seconds, then I flip it over onto a plate, squirt ketchup on it and roll it up. Two eggs make three wraps.

AllSorted · 18/11/2014 07:56

Cheese and marmite
Or "pink egg" (scrambled egg with tomato)
