To celebrate the launch of the new Vodafone family price plan (Red+) and that this Christmas you can also enjoy a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies with Red 4G Vodafone want to know what your fail safe film is for travelling with children!

Vodafone say "We all know those long journeys with children, especially at christmas time when they are even more excited, can feel a bit endless. These days, technology makes this a bit easier! With a 3 month NOW TV Sky Movies Pass from Vodafone, you can select a film to help pass the time for children".

Vodafone has also launched a new plan, designed specifically for families. Red+ gives you one data allowance to share and you can even cap your kids’ data so they don't go over their limit. You'll get one simple bill for all devices, saving you money compared to individual plans, and you'll also get unlimited calls and texts.

The Vodafone Digital Parenting Guide can be found here: www.vodafone.co.uk/family

So whether your children climb over seats to catch yet another screening of Frozen, or have a secret sob to Toy Story 3, please share the film you can be quietly confident will give you some peace on the journey and keep the kids occupied.

Add your comment to this thread and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £250 Hamleys voucher (can be used online and in the stores)

Please note your comments may be used by Vodafone or MN on Vodafone pages, social media or possibly elsewhere - please only add a comment if you're happy for it to be used.

Thanks and good luck

my son loves the lion king but we have to be there when the dad dies because he gets upset

JeanetteDanielsBenziger · 15/11/2014 14:19

We have the joy of barbies perfect Christmas, my 3 and 5yo love it and even me and DH sing along. Gets us all in the festive mood.

When I read the OP and scrolled down to post I wondered how many sneery 'we don't allow movies' type posts I would see :-) quite a few, MN never dissapoints.

janiegd · 15/11/2014 14:44

The Festive Season hasn't begun until my lot have enjoyed National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. It's a silly, sure fire crowd pleaser & I guarantee yule get an ear worm as soon as you hear Mele Kalikimaka!!

BishBashSplosh · 15/11/2014 15:49

Elf without doubt.

Funkyferret · 15/11/2014 15:53

It's not something we do but I can guarantee that any of the Shrek films would go down well.

tubbss · 15/11/2014 16:08

Both my boys love the Wimpy Kid films and watch them over and over again

JulesJules · 15/11/2014 18:35

We have the box set of Tom and Jerry.

We must have seen them all a million times, still brilliant.

The DDs have just discovered Friends - so that's a popular choice at the moment

And as others have said - Elf

farhanac · 15/11/2014 20:11

Toy Story

kerrysabel · 15/11/2014 20:44

We currently take the Lego Movie as my son loves it and will watch it all day if he got his way

lucyrobinson · 15/11/2014 21:38

We play lots of games. Guess the number, eye spy, spot colour cars. x

misshoohaa · 16/11/2014 03:17

The Father Christmas movie, takes me back to my child hood. Although I saw the beginning for the first time the other day and it was quite upsetting actually..... The part with thr blizzard?

margaritasbythesea · 16/11/2014 08:46

It's got to be Home Alone - although watching Christmas films gets both me and the kids overexcited :) x

pixelwife · 16/11/2014 08:50

Toy Story if my son is in the back but if it were me it would be Elf! That always makes me feel Christmassy!

spiroo · 16/11/2014 13:22

We don't watch in the car. My choice would be Home alone also bring electronic entertainments as well

Ritakd · 16/11/2014 13:46

We don't watch films in the car, we sing (very loudly!), natter & play games. If we did though it would have to Shrek - we love it.

rachelmi · 16/11/2014 15:15

Although I swore I would never do so, I have to admit a DVD in car has saved the day many times, especially on longer journeys.

pontsian · 16/11/2014 15:39

This year its Frozen but others its been Toy Story, Shrek and Rio

rainbow1976 · 16/11/2014 16:31

Jack Frost

Princessxo · 16/11/2014 18:17

Frozen. Before that it was anything to do with Mickey Mouse

SeattleGraceMercyDeath · 16/11/2014 18:26

Once upon a Christmas the Mickey mouse film. DS loves it! For DD it's be Nativity 1 or 2.

Spencer1234 · 16/11/2014 18:37

Toy story is a winner every time!

theHowlatWooooooCorner · 16/11/2014 20:04

We very rarely have films on in the car. I find it too distracting.
But on a very long journey we always find that a Scooby Doo film does the trick.

BigfootFilesHisToesInYourTea · 16/11/2014 20:35

We don't watch films on the move, DD gets travel sick. We have just got into the "Animal, Mineral or Vegetable" game though.
