The time has come for the insight team at MNHQ to do our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year!

(In case you don't know insight covers surveys, product events, product tests and sponsored threads on MN, as well as bloggers reviews, and reviewers recruitment)

Let us know what you think on this thread and you could win another prize!

We've got the following to give away....

~ A George Foreman entertaining 10 portion grill & griddle worth £69.99

You have tested over £75,000 worth of products - including thoroughly testing the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, busting bugs with Lyclear and getting 'touched-up' clean with Mr Muscle!
We've gone all creative with food and leftovers with some amazing creations for Cadbury Pebbles, cooked once/ eaten twice with Colman's and even tried out pans for Tesco and Fissler

We've given hundreds of you a sneak preview of top kids movies: Cloudy2 and Despicable Me 2

On cars - MNers have been busy trying out the Toyota Verso, Toyota Auris hybrid and Toyota RAV4 - check out the videos here

And you've been sharing tips, experiences and comments on sponsored threads on everything from garden make-overs for B&Q, summer feet prep for Clarks, gluten free baking with Mrs Crimble to hot drinks for Tassimo Smile

What have you enjoyed taking part in this year? Or appreciated reading about? What would you like us to product test next year?

Most of the product tests are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please see this link for more info or to sign up. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it's not for you.

So to win one of the lovely prizes please do one of the following:
~ Post on this thread about what you've enjoyed doing insight-wise this year or what you've appreciated reading about
~ Post on the thread any suggestions for product tests etc you'd like to see next year (no promises but we can try!)
~ Join the panel

Lastly - it's with much sadness that we report KatieBMumsnet is sadly off to pastures new at the end of the year Sad.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Grin

I enjoyed testing the crisps (walkers hoops)
Would like more chances to try out samples / products - especially food, perhaps gadgets as well

Uzma01 · 19/12/2013 23:42

It's been interesting to read up about the household appliances that have been reviewed and the car tests.

It'd be good to get more foodie things to review. As yet haven't been as lucky on being picked to review much as I have been with receiving books to review for both the adult and the children's book clubs. I did get the Cadbury's Pebbles, but nothing else. Plus I think it's be good to review activities (board games and the like) next year.

Thanks for the opportunities to share thoughts on threads where we've not been testing - the incentive of vouchers is great, but is nice just to be able to share one's thoughts.

ILoveAFullFridge · 20/12/2013 01:19

I would love to test fragrance-free products. So many people have sensitive skin (fragrance allergy is one of the most common causes of contact dermatitis) and it can be difficult to source products. Surcare, Simple and Waitrose Pure are the only widely available ff products that I know of, ff toothpaste is very difficult to get hold of, and I have not been able to find ff hair products at all.

silverlace · 20/12/2013 07:00

I was very pleased to win a family cinema ticket. It was a nice surprise as I had forgotten I had done the survey.
We tested a mobile phone for children and some Schwartz cooking products.

I would like to see something about parental controls for tablets and mobile devices. I have my laptop locked down but seem to hit a dead end when it comes to getting my tablet child safe.

zimbamummy · 20/12/2013 07:17

I was lucky enough to test the Mr Muscle cleaner which was excellent - I shall be buying it again - but didn't get chosen for any others. However I enjoyed reading the others, particularly the family friendly businesses vote which has actually given me an idea of what I'd like to do after my maternity leave instead of going back to my old job. Now I just need to sign up to a mumsnet academy course Smile

MadMonkeys · 20/12/2013 07:49

I enjoyed all the product tests i took part in - cif, pebbles, flora buttery, pampers and i think there was something else ive forgotten. Its always good to try something new. How about free from foods for next year? Dd2 is trying dairy again (14m) but it has been a massive learning curve dealing with food allergies for the first time. Free from foods are expensive and can be hard to track down, product tests would help highlight what is available.

ChippyMinton · 20/12/2013 07:50

Merry Christmas to all the lovely Insight team.
i had fifteen minutes of fame and a room makeover courtesy of B&Q Unloved Rooms campaign. The highlight was having my photo plastered 10 feet high on a poster in store and in the local paper, much to the amusement of the school run mums.

The Cloudy with meatballs screening was fun, special mention for the posh popcorn.

Thank you Xmas Smile

QueenandKingMum · 20/12/2013 08:14

We were very fortunate enough to be able to see despicableme2 and meet the minions. That was a fabulous event. Also we participated on the chocolate insight, and thoroughly enjoyed the samples! Thank you mn!

OhYouMerryLittleKitten · 20/12/2013 10:55

Good luck Katie :)

I seem to have skilfully managed to avoid being selected to test anything this year despite trying. So just as you know for future, I would be great at testing chilli sauce, chocolate, gadgets and fancy foreign holidays Wink

BerryLellow · 20/12/2013 11:21

I've enjoyed doing all the tests I've had - especially food ones. The method washing liquid was good - I actually still keep that in my cupboard!

I'd like to try more 'things' next year - would have loved the Samsung test etc :)

Also thank you to MichelleMumsnet for sorting out my Matalan voucher Xmas Wink

Best of luck Katie!

serendipity1980 · 20/12/2013 11:36

I've really enjoyed being part for Insight panal, we loved trialling the Pebbles. I'd love more make up trials, more kitchen gadgets and beauty gadgets and food. We always love trialling chocolate!! Thank you and Happy Christmas!

Nigglenaggle · 20/12/2013 11:57

The tests I enjoyed most were the national trust mystery shop- I would certainly enjoy more mystery shopping - and the Schwartz cookery one. I liked getting a choice of what to make, and doing a recipe a week over a few weeks with lots of others was fun (I don't get out much!). I also liked the red cross one - although it was free anyway I'm just pleased to have found the app.

mammamic · 20/12/2013 11:59

Hi. I didn't get selected for much at all but am happy to test anything to do with food, gadgets or kitchen stuff.

Oh - and I'd love to win any of the prizes... Grin

Nigglenaggle · 20/12/2013 11:59

My biggest disappointments were not being chosen for the chocolate panel, and being outed by my oh as a result of a product test - time to find a new forum nickname grr!

BeCool · 20/12/2013 12:30

I really really really wanted to do the Speedo swimming one and ANY thing to do with family films at Westfield.

Pancakeflipper · 20/12/2013 12:39

I haven't been testing anything but done the surveys.

I would like to test a steam mop ( think this is my 8th year of shameful begging and my shower really really needs it now).

I would like a testing thing on laundry products especially for those with ezcema etc.

I would like testing on dairy-free products.

I just like getting post and parcels so anything really.

Thank you and bye bye Katiemumsnet.

secondtimemummy · 20/12/2013 13:01

Im new to the panel so I haven't yet tested anything but I'd love to get involved with anything big or small from cereals, sauces and treats to anything for the children or days out. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Keep up the good work ladies, goodbye KatieBMumsnet and Merry Christmas everyone Xmas Smile xxx

MollyBerry · 20/12/2013 13:41

I didn't test anythign but I enjoyed hunting for pebbles on mumsnet

sazzle82 · 20/12/2013 14:05

I'm new, so not tested anything yet, but have enjoyed doing the surveys.

I would like to test electrical household products as I can be pretty indecisive about what to buy. Although I'd be chuffed with anything Grin

Lent1l · 20/12/2013 14:24

I haven't been selected much and for a few I have noticed that having a 1 year old is slightly the wrong age for some of the tests. I enjoy trying to be signed up though and love the variety of things on offer.

Good Luck to KatieB and Merry Christmas to all the MN team.

rachel19784 · 20/12/2013 15:18

What have you enjoyed taking part in this year?

I have had a great first year with Mumsnet, Took part in my very 1st discussion and post with Mumsnet, I took part in the Acuvue contact lenses for children and had some great responses to the post I wrote, I also did the Gynaecological post and really opened up and got fantastic responses from the MN readers, It made me really glad I had been brave and admitted personal thoughts and feelings around the issues.

What would you like us to product test next year?

I would love to take part in testing cleaning products and Vacuums as I love cleaning, also pampering items and Toys for my son.

I also won a £200 gift card to spend on a treat like racecar driving or an overnight stay with Dove when I was chosen for my response to a teenage post

KatieBMumsnet · 20/12/2013 15:36

Thank you for all your kind wishes, I'm very sad to be leaving Mumsnet today Xmas Sad

Be kind to Ann, TheOtherHelen, Michelle and Angelie - they're distraught quite upset Wink

Signing out but still lurking

Thanks
MegBusset · 20/12/2013 15:43

I'm pretty sure I'm on the Insight panel already but I don't think I've been picked to test anything this year. The last thing I can remember doing is the chocolate porridge which was last year I think.

I would really have liked to take part in the National Trust activities, anything else outdoorsy/days out would be fab. And wine. Lots of wine :)

MegBusset · 20/12/2013 15:45

Oh I did the Hoops & Crosses one think some of them are still lurking in a cupboard

cather · 20/12/2013 16:25

I haven't managed to get on many of the product tests but really enjoyed the Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs screening.

I would love to review skincare products and food products
