The time has come for the insight team at MNHQ to do our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year!

(In case you don't know insight covers surveys, product events, product tests and sponsored threads on MN, as well as bloggers reviews, and reviewers recruitment)

Let us know what you think on this thread and you could win another prize!

We've got the following to give away....

~ A George Foreman entertaining 10 portion grill & griddle worth £69.99

~ £100 to spend on Method products for a shiny and squeaky clean-up in your home

~ Four sharing packs of Magnum chocolates worth £24 each.

All details are here: www.mumsnet.com/surveys/insight-annual-roundup-2013

In 2013 we have given away over £38,000 worth of prizes in the form of vouchers, books, beauty products, hampers and technology.

You have tested over £75,000 worth of products - including thoroughly testing the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, busting bugs with Lyclear and getting 'touched-up' clean with Mr Muscle!
We've gone all creative with food and leftovers with some amazing creations for Cadbury Pebbles, cooked once/ eaten twice with Colman's and even tried out pans for Tesco and Fissler

We've given hundreds of you a sneak preview of top kids movies: Cloudy2 and Despicable Me 2

On cars - MNers have been busy trying out the Toyota Verso, Toyota Auris hybrid and Toyota RAV4 - check out the videos here

And you've been sharing tips, experiences and comments on sponsored threads on everything from garden make-overs for B&Q, summer feet prep for Clarks, gluten free baking with Mrs Crimble to hot drinks for Tassimo Smile

What have you enjoyed taking part in this year? Or appreciated reading about? What would you like us to product test next year?

Most of the product tests are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please see this link for more info or to sign up. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it's not for you.

So to win one of the lovely prizes please do one of the following:
~ Post on this thread about what you've enjoyed doing insight-wise this year or what you've appreciated reading about
~ Post on the thread any suggestions for product tests etc you'd like to see next year (no promises but we can try!)
~ Join the panel

Lastly - it's with much sadness that we report KatieBMumsnet is sadly off to pastures new at the end of the year Sad.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Grin

I'd love to see more holiday reviews

I think I have been on the panel for around 9/10 months.
I was one of the very lucky panel members that recently was selected to review a Galaxy Samsung S4 Active and it has been brilliant. So nice to have a top of the range smart phone instead of hiding my functional 5 year old mobile!

I liked reading about the B&Q room and garden make overs - i would have loved that one , and also was a teensy bit jealous of the Tassimo testers. (I am hoping to get one for xmas instead though)

Its good to get honest reviews from Mumsnetters , defintely makes me more likely to part with money for a product once it has had the mumsnet once over!

I also wouldn't have known about the Red Cross child first aid app if it hadn't been for reading it on here-which is really handy to have on my phone. ( My new fancy phone ;)

In future I would like to see more home and gardens things to test, holidays and short breaks :) and everyday things like school uniform and kids shoes and cleaning things are always good to be involved in.

Ooh and make up /beauty products too pls!.

I really enjoyed the Schwartz two in one food seasoning samples, as I tried new food with it.

Would love more chocolate samples!

I (well DD) did the Pampers Baby Dry trial. It was nice to be able to give my feedback direct to manufacturers.

I also did the voting intentions and leader impressions group activity which was very interesting and quite heavily reported in the press. Good to be involved.

Would be really nice to see some less 'mumsy' trials such as beauty products.

Would love to get the chance to try some kitchen gadgets so maybe more of these on the testing lkst so that more of us get a chance.

Do you have anyaltops that need testing before and over xmas? Ours has died so we really really need one to test arriving asap!!!

We've only ever been lucky enough to test a few food items but we've enjoyed it nonetheless.

The DC get quite excited if they get to try something and then give their feedback, and they're old enough have experience of similar products to compare things with and have proper valid points .

DD also took great delight in researching a recipe and baking some cookies for the peanut butter product taste. I know she'd love to try out kitchen gadgets!

I try to complete as many surveys as I can and was seleced for the breakfast bar product test which I enjoyed.

I love reading the reviews and always try to search for something that may have an MN review before buying it. The mascara one was a plus as I Love that particular brand and have used it for a while now. It was nice to see I wasn't the only one.

More food tests and make-up tests would be fantasic and I'm willing to try out any carpet stain removers you may have in the pipe line and cleaning products.

I didn't get the time for the B&Q challenge as I just didn't have the funds in the bank - I guess that was just bad timing more than anything. The most fustrating thing is when the answer to a comptition or anything related to the survey in on Facebook as I'm not on it and refuse to join up for the sake of a product. There's been a few times I've missed out because of this - and not just on MN either.

Other than that I'm glad to have helped out this year and am looking forward to helping out more next year.

Bye bye KatieB you will be missed

I've been a panel member in the last year and really enjoyed some of the tests, I tested an interactive winnie the pooh, chocolate cereal, actual chocolate (yum) and much more. Ive enjoyed the testing as it's exposed me to products I wouldn't have considered buying and in some cases changed my buying habits

More clothing brands to test is always good in my book (Like the M&S Shape wear)

I've loved being part of the Chocolate Panel and the thank you pack was unexpected and lovely. It was good to test out the Pampers pull ups, if only to rule them out! The shapewear trial was great and made me realise the M&S products are worth the money.

I'm happy to test pretty much anything in the future as it's a great way of being introduced to new things as well as alternatives to things I already use.

I have been lucky enough to get a few product tests this year including cadbury pebbles, red cross app and cif.

I love product tests that get the kids involved too. I think it would be good to be able to test more products for babies and children. Such as feeding equipment, toys, bath products etc. But all the ones this year have been fab :D

I've become a bit of a seasoned product tester, but we've had the most satisfaction blitzing the boys' room with the help of our B&Q voucher. It even still looks like it's been decorated sometime this century!

I haven't been selected much this year - and both times that was for chocolate based tests. Do you think my usual posting name of Mmelindor is influencing this decision? :)

I really enjoyed being part of the Chocolate Forum - was very interesting to see the thought that goes into the design process of these products, the packaging and the placement in store.

I really liked the B&Q transformations and would like to see more of those.

As a local editor, it would be great to see more local reviews, but I realise this might not be possible within the great product testing topic.

Other than that, I would like to see more products for older children - preteens and teens are often a bit neglected.

I love the chance to try out just about anything, but for obvious reasons, will admit to enjoying the pack of chocs that came courtesy of the chocolate forum.

It s good to have the chance to air your opinion - us Mumsnetters never seem to be backward in coming forward, I m sure manufacturers must get loads of feedback from us very opinionated lot. There always seem to be a lot of opposing views here, with good reasoning. Have been lucky enough to have tried out a few small items this year - hope I ll be chosen for some more next year.

I don't think I have been chosen to take part in any trials this year, I haven't been on much though (name change) maybe that's why.

I personally would like to take part in cheese, coffee, cake testing please!!
Maybe some art/craft products for older children to try out..

Merry Christmas everyone, and Happy New Year!

I've been lucky enough to have a couple of the more expensive items this year starting with the YouView box back in March and then recently the S4 Active. Those were fun to do, I like fiddling with them and seeing how good and how user friendly they are. Hopefully the unfettered access to Octonauts on iplayer has made dd forgive me for swapping the box over and losing her recording of the snowman and the snowdog. The youview box is already set to record it again this year!

I've also had breakfast biscuits, nappies and taken part in the wholegrain challenge. I've been selected for and dropped out of one test [guilty]

Sometimes it does feel as though we are listened to. Other times I wonder how much difference our comments make, it would be nice to have some response sometimes.

I don't know or mind for other things to test, there seems to be a lot of variety. If you need any testers for a holiday though keep us in mind Grin.

I apply for pretty much everything, fill in all relevant surveys and comment on sponsored discussions. This year I have tested Cif cleaner, Pebbles and Schwartz sachets.

I enjoy testing and would love to get something big. I would happily product test a holiday. ;)

Last year I was one of the lucky ones chosen to attend the Wonderbook PS3 event. That was the best one I've done.
