The time has come for the insight team at MNHQ to do our annual round up of the year, to plead for those of you not yet on our panel to sign up and to thank you all for taking part in some amazing projects this year!

(In case you don't know insight covers surveys, product events, product tests and sponsored threads on MN, as well as bloggers reviews, and reviewers recruitment)

Let us know what you think on this thread and you could win another prize!

We've got the following to give away....

~ A George Foreman entertaining 10 portion grill & griddle worth £69.99

~ £100 to spend on Method products for a shiny and squeaky clean-up in your home

~ Four sharing packs of Magnum chocolates worth £24 each.

All details are here: www.mumsnet.com/surveys/insight-annual-roundup-2013

In 2013 we have given away over £38,000 worth of prizes in the form of vouchers, books, beauty products, hampers and technology.

You have tested over £75,000 worth of products - including thoroughly testing the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, busting bugs with Lyclear and getting 'touched-up' clean with Mr Muscle!
We've gone all creative with food and leftovers with some amazing creations for Cadbury Pebbles, cooked once/ eaten twice with Colman's and even tried out pans for Tesco and Fissler

We've given hundreds of you a sneak preview of top kids movies: Cloudy2 and Despicable Me 2

On cars - MNers have been busy trying out the Toyota Verso, Toyota Auris hybrid and Toyota RAV4 - check out the videos here

And you've been sharing tips, experiences and comments on sponsored threads on everything from garden make-overs for B&Q, summer feet prep for Clarks, gluten free baking with Mrs Crimble to hot drinks for Tassimo Smile

What have you enjoyed taking part in this year? Or appreciated reading about? What would you like us to product test next year?

Most of the product tests are on site but we also do a lot of projects with our lovely research panel, as well as often giving them the heads up about the latest things and chances to win on site. If you are not yet on our panel please see this link for more info or to sign up. You can select how often you get emailed and you can leave at any time if it's not for you.

So to win one of the lovely prizes please do one of the following:
~ Post on this thread about what you've enjoyed doing insight-wise this year or what you've appreciated reading about
~ Post on the thread any suggestions for product tests etc you'd like to see next year (no promises but we can try!)
~ Join the panel

Lastly - it's with much sadness that we report KatieBMumsnet is sadly off to pastures new at the end of the year Sad.

Thanks as ever for your time and feedback - all very much welcome Xmas Grin

OOh I forgot ... I did a Table Table trial - that was rather fun and the children liked the treat too.

I have entered several surveys on topics that mean something to me and my life(of course chocolate is a vital MNers survival tool isn't it?) and tried to test a few things but with no success.I have had a couple of books which I have read and reviewed and would love to do more in 2014

I'd like to test more chocolate food and kitchen-related things.

I was a tester for the George Foreman grill and loved the experience! Also loved the fact that the day was fairly local for me. I would love to test loads more products and experiences!

I wish I had been chosen for more than bloody wash powder! twice! I get it we'_re dirty buggers Grin

I find a lot of the non home based trials are London centred can we maybe give other cities a chance next year? We definitely need booze tests too.

I'm pretty new to mn but I've enjoyed reading everyone's reviews, even if I haven't been selected for that particular product test.
I was selected to review the freesat box so huge thank you from DH too Grin

I'd like more things aimed at teens as I don't have small people any more. Some veggie product testing would be marvellous, as well as stuff happening in the North West, such as Manchester, as most stuff seems to be London based. Any cruelty free beauty products would also be welcome (NOT body shop, as they're owned by L'Oreal).

I'm thrilled I won £50 voucher this year.

Bit fed up that I still can't progress with the flora panel as I still don't have the voucher.

More product tests please especially food ones. I liked the holiday test but sadly didn't get chosen.

I've enjoyed being involved and would like to continue.

I've really enjoyed doing lots of trials this year. The Mr Muscle Touch Up cleaner was a good one and I still use it, the Cadbury Pebbles were good and we're really enjoying the chocolate forum. I feel bad that I totally failed to give feedback on the Red Cross one but it came just as both of my children came down with Chicken Pox one after another :(

Next year...I'd love to do more food tests and if you could sort out a vacuum cleaner test that would be amazing. ooh, even better, could we test out some holiday homes somewhere? Xmas Grin

I've really enjoyed reading about most of the product tests. I was a tester for the McVities breakfast biscuits but was slow off the mark applying to be a tester for a lot of the other things. That'll teach me to live in the 'most active' box!

I'd like to see tests opened up a little wider, too - I may not be a mum yet but for example there was a crisps test (possibly baked stars?) only open to people with children. I eat copious quantities of crisps too and am always looking for the healthy option crisps for myself and my DP.

Good luck Katie! I haven't been picked for very much this year as was away for a large part of it. We did the Flora Buttery test and really enjoy doing the food ones. The family like getting involved so more things to test together would be great. I think I suggested outdoor stuff last year so will say the same again. Camping things, outdoor clothes, buggies for people who do not drive as we can really give them good testing! I love being on the panel and look forward to the surveys and products. Would like to do more though!

I didn't get chosen this year for anything (sob) I have to confess I was hugely miffed at missing out on the chocolate. I'm sure I could have given extremely detailed feedback based on my extensive personal research. I do answer all the surveys I can.

I did get chosen for the shapewear last year and it was a complete revelation. It's not something I would have ever considered left to my own devices to be honest, but the few pieces I bought are still being used when the occasion demands it.

The Galaxy S4 thread was the one I read the most.

Next year I would LOVE to test the gadgets. I'm a self confessed geek with not enough money. I'm looking at whether or not I can afford the Galaxy S4 based on the feedback.

I'd like to see more reviews based on long running Mumsnet threads. Bras and bra sizing comes to mind as being a consistent query.

Bye bye KatieMumsnet Thanks

I have loved being on the panel this year Xmas Smile

I enjoyed trying the cleaning products - hellloooo new love Cif- and learning about the good points of Mr Muscle from the testers who tried that one.

I agree it would be nice to have an equal number of products available to test that aren't so specific to mums only < whispers > I know it's mumsnet but I love this site, and just because I don't have children yet doesn't mean I can't also rest things like chocolate or crisps Wink

Finally- the chocolate forum has officially rocked!! Adored getting my little goody parcel through and am proud to say I didn't eat it all on the first day!

I like to do the sponsored discussions the most and always find them interesting and was thrilled to win a new phone from EE so many thanks for that its my favourite thing!. I liked reading about the samsung challenges that people were doing , i would enjoy more long term product tests like this, technology and home appliances.

First of all I would love to thank mumsnet team Thanks for bringing us this wonderful opportunity to take part in surveys as well as testing products.

I got very few chances to test products like Sainsbury basic mobile and Croods DVD. Testing both the products have been an amazing journey wherein I have learnt a lot of things. I have been following some threads in the forums and some topics (child/lifestyle/food/money/reviews) gave me more information of the same. I also appreciate mumnets in bringing active participation in charity related activities too.

Coming to product reviews, I would like to test products in the coming year as well and that which would add up into our home like kitchen gadgets, useful health gadgets and kids related gadgets [PS: I'm a gadget lover Smile ]. Also I would like to see some innovative and useful products as well.

Good luck to KatieBMumsnet !

Merry Christmas and Advance Happy New Year to all Smile

Would be delighted to assist with any skincare and biscuits/cakes/sweeties/chocolate trials (duty becomes pleasure!)

Good luck Katie! We'll miss you.

I've had a great time with the panel this year. I've tested chocolates, cleaners and packets of food seasoning.

My recommendation is to spread the vouchers and winning items out. So 2 people get £50 each or whatever instead of one getting £100. I've been on the panel for about 2 years and have never gotten the "reward" so maybe more, smaller rewards.

Enjoyed being on the panel but did not get many interesting things this year. The Method test was interesting (and I now regularly buy the stuff I was sent to test), as was the Chicco toy test (might have been 2012) because it made me think about what makes a good toy, especially given I was sent something we would never have bought, either for our kids or as a present.

I would love more household products/kitchen tech gadgets as well as, well, kiddy stuff: clothes, toys, board games, books. When the boys were younger i would have loved more testing of prams, slings etc.

A plea though: please make the feedback easy to give. Multiple requirements such as in the Pampers study mean that those of us with v limited time will avoid tests they would otherwise be interested in, which makes the panel less representative (and annoys testers).

I've recently discovered the insight reviews so have joined the panel and eagerly anticipating my first sample to test.
Would be interested in hearing about mumsnetters views on childrens clothes (how they fit - tall/skinny/squat etc), kitchen gadgets (coffee machines, sterilisers, steamers), and personal products (moisturising creams in pregnancy, nappy creams, nipple soothers!)
Merry Christmas and a relaxing new year.
