The team at TASSIMO would like to know about Mumsnetters favourite hot drinks.

Heres what TASSIMO have to say: "TASSIMO has all your favourite drinks from the brands you love such as Costa, Cadbury, Kenco, Twinings, Milka, Carte Noire and Suchard. With more than 35 different drinks for you to choose from, including classic Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Espresso, Hot Chocolate and Tea, yours will be ready at the push of a button. Its as easy as one, two, tea."

So, what are your favourite hot drinks? Do you like to start your day with a latte or cappuccino? Maybe you drink gallons of tea each day? Or do you keep it very simple with the odd espresso?

Are there any coffee shop drinks you wish you could make at home? Perhaps a Latte Macchiato Caramel? Grin Or maybe a hot chocolate topped with marshmallows? Have you ever tried to recreate these at home? Or do you consider them to be an occasional treat? If you're a tea drinker, do you like to stick to your favourite brew or try new varieties?

Whatever your hot drink of choice is, TASSIMO would love to hear about it.

Theyd also love to know whether you have a TASSIMO or whether it has made it onto your wish list. If you have a TASSIMO, tell us what you love about it! Feel free to share any of your TASSIMO recipes from your repertoire.

Everyone who adds their comments to this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a TASSIMO T20 and 2 packs of T DISCs worth £109.

Please note your comments may be included on TASSIMO's social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

My drink of choice is a skinny latte but I'm finding that more and more coffee shops are only offering full cream or semi-skimmed. The beginning of Winter is marked for me by my first gingerbread/toffee crunch latte (don't bother with the the skinny part, only time I drink full cream milk), which we go out for as a family. The run up to Christmas is my most favourite time of year and I'll be beside myself with glee when my DH announces that Costa have put up their Christmas special menu! So a Christmas special coffee would be lovely. I'd also like to see some sort of mulled wine flavour tea or other Christmasy flavour.

I can't see beyond Christmas at the moment as you can probably tell!

Hot drinks are evil. Please stop shouting they are essential.
If I'm really stuffed with cold, I can tolerate hot blackcurrant, otherwise its water, juice or squash all the way.

I start my day with a lovely pint of COLD water.

So no, a tassimio is not on any list for this house.

Kveta · 05/10/2013 08:36

I am not a big fan of hot drinks, think tea is vile, and coffee barely tolerable. I don't mind a nice hot chocolate, but as a treat, not for every day. DH lives for his green tea of a morning and coffee after lunch though, and struggles mightily without them!

A latte with full fat milk! Plain and simple, nothing added. It's rich and gorgeously smooth and makes a breakfast on its own!

I currently use a Nespresso machine, purely because it was a present, but I'd like to try a Tassimo. No coffee shops in my town use full fat milk so I can only make this at home!

duchesse · 05/10/2013 10:20

I can't take too much caffeine so I like to drink a little concoction of my own that I call "Mochary". It's basically mocha made with chicory/barley drink rather than coffee. Caro powder and a spoonful of hot chocolate powder (has to be Poulain Extra from France). Don't knock it till you've tried it! Grin

Doilooklikeatourist · 05/10/2013 11:34

I like black coffee .

Double shot Americano please .

Although I did have a lovely Mocha , from a van , served in a styrofoam cup that was so delicious .

Mind you it was a freezing cold winters day at the beach .

k8vincent · 05/10/2013 11:36

I drink a lot of coffee. Unfortunately most of it is pretty average stuff, but I do love a mocha. I don't ever make it at home, but enjoy one every now and then. I'd really like to be able to make a frappuccino for those hot summer days.

rosiecheeks2 · 05/10/2013 11:55

I just love a mug of regular tea which I never get to finish due to children etc. my drink of choice out and about would be a hot chocolate. There is no point me trying to make one at home as it just wouldn't be the same. Now, why oh why have I never heard of Tassimo!!!

NotAFeminist · 05/10/2013 12:04

I practically grew up on hot chocolate and used to have one every morning with toast for breakfast and usually a milky one before bed! Then, at the ripe old age of 19, I tried tea for the first time and have not looked back since! I have two teas a day and I love it! I even tried Asda's own brand of tea... 80 tea bags for like, 27p and it is amazing!

Ireallymustbemad · 05/10/2013 12:37

I absolutely have to start the day with a cup of strong tea, I can't wake up without it.
During the day I have a mixture of traditional tea, earl grey and lattes for a treat.
I love a Costa latte with full fat milk and two sugars. Delicious.

MinesAPintOfTea · 05/10/2013 12:43

Tea several times a day.

I love a good hot chocolate when out as a treat or in the evening with a bottle drop of baileys.

JemR234 · 05/10/2013 12:46

I love those Christmassy gingerbread lattes etc, makes me feel all warm inside.

I like either a fruit tea or the thick hot chocolate DH makes. I don't know what goes into it (other than chocolate, milk and ginger) and I dread to think of the calories but it tastes amazing.

We have a very fancy Italian coffee machine that I can't work so DH has to make his own coffee, plus one of those ones you put on the hob and a separate milk frother.

hunhun007 · 05/10/2013 17:57

We don't own TASSIMO but we would love to.
We both love coffee and it is out fav hot drink.
For years we drunk just white coffee but few years ago we started making it extra white, with milk only, no water included :-)

Reastie · 05/10/2013 18:29

My fave coffee shop drink I can't get right at home is a frappochino, but I'm not sure that's the type of thing a tassimo could replicate.

I'd love to find a delicious hot chocolate which tastes creamy and rich but uses water not milk in it.

ChocolateMama · 05/10/2013 18:51

I drink lots of coffee and tea throughout the day, and seem to go through stages of drinking one or the other exclusively. At the moment it is coffee. So my best drink of the day is my first coffee of the morning. A nice strong cup of filter coffee. I would also love a Tassimo and it is on my wish list definitely. I have friends who have one as the coffee is truly glorious!

ChocolateMama · 05/10/2013 18:53

Oh, and just to say, if the Tassimo could replicate a drink at home, I would love it to be something like an eggnog or gingerbread latte - just in time for the Christmas season...

OldRoan · 05/10/2013 19:25

Since everyone is talking about festive drinks... Is mulled wine possible? Would have to have age limit I assume, but would be FAB.

farrowandbawl · 05/10/2013 19:38

OMG that would be fab OldRoan.

farrowandbawl · 05/10/2013 19:39

A non alcoholic version would be easy enough...

A strong mixed red berry tea and a load of spices in it. Add hot water and hey presto. Mulled wine for all ages.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 05/10/2013 19:45

Maybe you could add a shot of port/rum/vodka to the 'all ages' mulled wine for the grown ups, farrow

How about hot white chocolate with cinnamon for Christmas?

themummyonthebus · 05/10/2013 20:58

I'm very simple - gallons and gallons of tea needed to keep me running at an optimum performance Grin
