The team at TASSIMO would like to know about Mumsnetters favourite hot drinks.

Heres what TASSIMO have to say: "TASSIMO has all your favourite drinks from the brands you love such as Costa, Cadbury, Kenco, Twinings, Milka, Carte Noire and Suchard. With more than 35 different drinks for you to choose from, including classic Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Espresso, Hot Chocolate and Tea, yours will be ready at the push of a button. Its as easy as one, two, tea."

So, what are your favourite hot drinks? Do you like to start your day with a latte or cappuccino? Maybe you drink gallons of tea each day? Or do you keep it very simple with the odd espresso?

Are there any coffee shop drinks you wish you could make at home? Perhaps a Latte Macchiato Caramel? Grin Or maybe a hot chocolate topped with marshmallows? Have you ever tried to recreate these at home? Or do you consider them to be an occasional treat? If you're a tea drinker, do you like to stick to your favourite brew or try new varieties?

Whatever your hot drink of choice is, TASSIMO would love to hear about it.

Theyd also love to know whether you have a TASSIMO or whether it has made it onto your wish list. If you have a TASSIMO, tell us what you love about it! Feel free to share any of your TASSIMO recipes from your repertoire.

Everyone who adds their comments to this thread will be entered into a prize draw to win a TASSIMO T20 and 2 packs of T DISCs worth £109.

Please note your comments may be included on TASSIMO's social media channels, and possibly elsewhere, so please only post if you're comfortable with this.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

I like a floater coffee with Amaretto in, as a v special treat in Winter. Sooooo nice.

But generally, my hot drink of choice is Twinings Earl Grey.

somewheresomehow · 13/10/2013 17:18

I drink loads of fairly strong coffee all day, and you can't beat a floater coffee with rum or brandy. did quite fancy a Tassimo just so that I could experiment with different flavours. Never got round to buying one.

Eastpoint · 13/10/2013 22:21

I like to start the day with some lemon & ginger tea, it really wakes me up & refreshes me. Mid-morning I have a couple of cups of black coffee which I consider to be a treat. After lunch I have another cup of coffee & then when the children come I have some jasmine tea. Each drink is delicious & fits my mood at the different times of the day.

Tea, tea and more tea! I've recently ditched the sugar in my tea as well so feeling all virtuous Grin. I do like the occasional hot chocolate but find it a bit sickly after a while and too sweet sometimes.

mummyofcutetwo · 14/10/2013 10:12

My favourite hot drink at home is twinings earl grey tea.

If I'm treating myself to a drink when out and about I would tend to head for a venti latte, maybe with a shot of a syrup - I love their gingerbread latte and eggnog latte at Christmas. I've bought a tin of millicano (it was on offer) and it's surprisingly nice, so sometimes I try to recreate a version at home by stirring millicano and a glug of gingerbread syrup into a big mug of hot milk. Not quite the same but better than nothing!

bucksmum71 · 14/10/2013 14:13

peppermint tea every time!

Letitsnow9 · 14/10/2013 19:52

Jackson's green tea is my favourite thing to drink. I would love to be able to do the fancy hot drinks at home that you normally have to buy in coffee shops

JParkson · 14/10/2013 21:02

At home, I drink buckets of tea, usually tepid or cold, then nuked, then cooled to tepid or cold again! :o At the weekend, DH and I enjoy a flavoured coffee (Douwe & Egbert's), and then we're back on the tepid teas!

When I'm out, and able to afford it, I love gingerbread lattes, especially loaded with cream. Not terribly good for my diet, but what the heck, I enjoy them very occasionally :) DH goes for the caramel macchiato every time!

At home, we have a filter coffee machine, but to be honest I hate it! It's a new, cheap one with a vacuum flask jug; my DM bought it for us when she went to Germany earlier this year, but the problem is, you can tell it's cheap. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate it as the flask keeps the coffee hot, but DH and I don't drink much coffee at home any more, and it's a pain in the bum to clean. Also, I think I dislike it because the coffee we have for it isn't very nice Hmm :o I have been a bit spoilt with filter coffee in the past, as I love a particular German brand, but it's tricky to get over here.

JParkson · 14/10/2013 21:06

Oh, and as far as tea brands are concerned, I used to drink/prefer PG Tips, but when I was pg with DD2, I went off tea completely. Later in the pregnancy, I found I could drink it again, but only Tetleys! Which I detested beforehand. Now, Tetleys is my brand of choice :o

deepbreath · 14/10/2013 22:09

I have tried to recreate decent hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows for treats for the dc (and for me!) with limited success. Most shop-bought hot chocolate drinks don't seem to dissolve, so you're left with lumps of powder. I even bought one of those Ikea whizzy whisk things - ended up with nice froth at the top of the mug, but still had lumpy powdery bits!

I like latte, and bought Nescafe gingerbread latte sachets earlier today to try. They are OK in a coffee emergency, but could be better. I would love to see if a good coffee machine really would make drinks as good as those that you buy in Costa.

petalsandstars · 15/10/2013 02:09

I love a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows but a good cinnamon latte is fantastic and gingerbread lattes make it feel like Christmas.

BoyGirlBoy3 · 16/10/2013 13:24

I tried a tassimo classic cappuccino at a friends house, this definitely put a tassimo machine on my wishlist. I love tea and coffee.

Black coffee (Americano). I can't drink instant so I always have my trusty cafetiere. Recently discovered stick packs of millicano and carte noire which I take if visiting. not as good as fresh but better than instant - though at a price

Blatherskite · 18/10/2013 22:23

I don't drink hot drinks every day but when it's cold and miserable, there is nothing like a hot chocolate. I make my own mix using a Jamie Oliver recipe that's full of real chocolate with a hint of orange, icing sugar to thicken it and spices to really make it tingle. It is lovely.

Playfulgilly · 18/10/2013 22:26

In an ideal world in the morning I love my Skinny Latte sat relaxing at the table over a lazy breakfast , but in reality a quick espresso before I leave for work while rushing around sorting the children out

Belo · 18/10/2013 22:46

I'm hopeless without a (Yorkshire) tea first thing. Then, another one shortly after. On an ideal day I'll have 2-3 more in the morning, 2-3 in the afternoon. Then from about 5pm onwards I switch to herbals.

But, my favourite hot drink is a hot chocolate with a cheeky splash of brandy in it!

GeekInThePink · 18/10/2013 22:52

I love my coffee. Normally a skinny latte with an extra shot and extra hot.
I do love a seasonal syrup- pumpkin spice anyone?
I drink some hot chocolate but that's a treat.
Also tea in the afternoon obviously.

I love the idea of a Tassimo, it's the speed that is selling itself to me. It's time consuming to get good coffee at home. Especially when you have younger DC about.
I didn't know there was such a range of pods.

GeekInThePink · 18/10/2013 22:53

Oh belo that got choc and brandy- any time we stay at my mum's she makes me one of these of an evening.
Amazing. Just amazing!

PODcast2013 · 18/10/2013 22:56

Absolutely love coffee, drink several cups a day. Whenever I'm out the house the preference is a white Americano from Costa. Their coffee is divine so it's always a large!

Also enjoy a good Cappucino or Expresso when the opportunity presents itself - not had a Macchiato in ages. It would be great to have a Cadbury's hot chocolate in the evening sometimes but I always forget to purchase it! Husband drinks oodles of tea - all different kinds.

Our house is missing a Tassimo. One day...!

QOD · 18/10/2013 22:59

Love love love my tassimo ... Caramel latte yummmmmmmmmmmy .. Wish you did skinny ones though

JJJJH · 19/10/2013 07:43

A nice, strong classic English breakfast tea to get the day started and then peppermint tea throughout the day or simple boiling water with lemon and honey in flu season. The child in me loves hot Vimto in winter too :-)

GillyBillyWilly · 19/10/2013 07:51

CHAI TEA LATTE!

CHAI TEA LATTE!

CHAI TEA LATTE!

CHAI TEA LATTE!

It tastes like Christmas and fills me with glee!!!!! Smile

Bellabeansmum · 19/10/2013 07:55

I once had a coconut latte and that was amazing! But my usual is a caramel latte from Costa and my partner has a soya cinnamon latte! Our order is never easy haha! At home I use the 2 in 1 Kenco sachets when they're on a special offer, if not Maxwell House latte sachets as they're £1 a box!!

WeAreEternal · 19/10/2013 08:05

I spend a small fortune in Starbucks on caramel macchiatos and chai tea lattes.
