Whole Earth has asked us to find out Mumsnetters' favourite peanut butter related snacks.

Here's what Whole Earth has to say, "Mums buy Whole Earth peanut butter because they know it's naturally delicious. Made with 97% peanuts, no added sugar and loaded with energy Mums know that choosing Whole Earth peanut butter is a great way to fuel their families throughout the day. It is also a perfect ingredient for baking crunchy peanut butter cookies - a delicious after school treat."

Do you use peanut butter to create homemade snacks for you or your DCs? What about peanut butter popcorn or peanut butter granola bars? Or perhaps you just use it to dip celery or carrot sticks into? However you snack with peanut butter we'd love to know.

Everyone who adds their feedback or uploads a photo of their snack will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 voucher for a supermarket of their choice.

Many thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

My husband would definitely agree with the celery dipped in the jar. Crunchy peanut butter cookies. My mum used to make them all the time - delicious. Also, peanut butter with burgers. It sounds odd, but is yummy.

Oh, and instead of tahini in houmous. I always have pb in the house so can't be bothered to by tahini just for one recipe.

I only really like peanut butter as a savoury thing rather than as a sweet thing.

Stick a spoonful in a pan with some soy sauce, bit of chilli, bit of water and it makes a very quick satay sauce for all kinds of things (prawn crackers are my favourite!)

Peanut butter spread on a sesame seed ryvita with a layer of nutella on top.

I find three hits the spot.

I like getting a teaspoon of nutella and a teaspoon of pb and mixing them together then licking the spoons (big kid).

I get peanut putter (crunchy) cravings and have been discovered bypassing the niceties and eating with my fingers...
On a good day I dip breadsticks in the jar instead.
Brilliant day - peanut butter and jam on toast.

I've done this on the feedback thread ... did I do it in the wrong place?

Peanut butter milkshake is made with milk, vanilla ice-cream and peanut butter to taste - all whizzed together. It is delicious. Really. I have to insist on this because people seem oddly resistant about the idea but ... once you try it ... you will LOVE it. Apparently, Paula Yates used to love the peanut butter milkshakes at Fortnum's. So take that you disbelievers ...

Satay chicken lollipops is done by making a simple satay sauce ( soya sauce and peanut butter mixed together); cutting chicken breasts into small chunks; coating the chicken chunks in the sauce if you've made it goopy (because you like a lot of peanut butter) or mini-marinading if your sauce is more runny. You then take some wooden skewers, soak the skewers in water; skewer chicken chunks onto the skewers and place them on a tray in the oven. Confession: I rarely look at the temperature or the time - I just cook things until they're cooked. My guess is that I'd be cooking on about gas mark 6 for 20 mins or so ...

As I keep promising, I'm going to make peanut butter ice cream, which is really nice, but I'll have to hunt down my recipe - which is a basic vanilla ice-cream made from a custard base, with spoonfulls of peanut butter included after you've made the custard. sorry, I haven't made it for two whole summers ...

I made satay chicken breasts in tortilla wraps for the photo thing - which was the same as the above lollipops, but with the sauce smeared over the chicken breasts, and the whole lot placed in a covered dish and cooked in the oven. It is so easy. I then put a pile of tortilla wraps on the table, shredded salad things, and let the children make their own.

Reece's!

I can't believe I have never tried making a "Reece's Peanut Cup On Toast" (Chocolate spread and peanut butter on toast), or even thought of such a thing before this thread!!

I love this thread!
I have just bought a massive tub off the back of it and it already has finger marks in it
My PB and choc chip cookie recipe-only takes 7 mins in oven and are yum yum yummy!!!
We are gluten/dairy/soy and egg free in this house so these hit the spot and are so quick I can knock them up if someone MIL is popping round and I don't have any goodies!

110 g peanut butter
Pinch powdered ginger
65g brown sugar
1 tsp baking powder
24 g flour (I use Dove Farm Gluten free but it works fine with plain flour)
Pinch salt
2-4 tbsp chocolate chips ( I use Lindt 70% or Montezumas as they are free of dairy and soy lectithins but any would work)
2 tbsp apple sauce or mashed banana
1 tsp vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 200 degrees centigrade.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly to form a dough, then squish into 12 balls with your hands.
Bake for 7 minutes and allow to cool on tray for a minute to make easier to take off tray then transfer to cooling rack with a fish slice.

Stuff your face as you are taking plate through to front room.

Always, always claim to your DP that the recipe makes 10 cookies.
For obvious reasons.

This thread is fantastic.

I'm just waiting for it to rain so I have an excuse to make peanut butter cookies with DD1 again. We're going to try Giraffeski's recipe instead of our usual one.

Protein balls:

Mix together:
1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
0-1/4 cup honey (or agave nectar) depending on how sweet you want them
1/3 cup vanilla (or chocolate/whatever) protein powder, plus a little extra
+/- cinnamon.
Roll into balls & chill.

(or you can just use roughly 50:50 PB & protein powder, adding slightly more PB if they're too dry)

Oh god, the amount of whole earth peanut butter we get through!
I love peanut butter on ryvita with sliced gherkins on top - has to be the crunchy version.

People baulk at the gherkins, but they stop the peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouthWink

The kids love pb&j sandwiches (smooth)

My husband adds a generous dollop to banana and yogurt smoothies fora protein hit (smooth)

And sometimes when I have toast I like to put a layer of crunchy peanut butter, then a layer of Nutella, followed by a layer of marmalade! It tastes divine - nutty orange chocolate SmileSmileSmile

Chocolate cupcakes with a peanut butter centre are awesome.

Date and walnut loaf spread with crunchy peanut butter is my new fave thing though.

We get through so much peanut butter. I love peanut butter and marmite on toast. I add it to noodles to make a sort of satay, which DS loves. We make the world's simplest flapjacks, just banana, oats and peanut butter. It's also good in banana bread.

The cupcake one has reminded me,we also use it in cupcakes

I drop a spoonful of PB & a square of chocolate into the middle of the cake batter in its casing, making sure it's covered so when it cooks, you get a lovely gooey, chocolatey peanuts centre to your cakes.

I top these with a spread of PB & then melted chocolate, sprinkled with crushed toasted salted peanut

Voila - Snickers Cupcakes - very popular around here :)
