Whole Earth has asked us to find out Mumsnetters' favourite peanut butter related snacks.

Here's what Whole Earth has to say, "Mums buy Whole Earth peanut butter because they know it's naturally delicious. Made with 97% peanuts, no added sugar and loaded with energy Mums know that choosing Whole Earth peanut butter is a great way to fuel their families throughout the day. It is also a perfect ingredient for baking crunchy peanut butter cookies - a delicious after school treat."

Do you use peanut butter to create homemade snacks for you or your DCs? What about peanut butter popcorn or peanut butter granola bars? Or perhaps you just use it to dip celery or carrot sticks into? However you snack with peanut butter we'd love to know.

Everyone who adds their feedback or uploads a photo of their snack will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 voucher for a supermarket of their choice.

Many thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Peanut butter on sliced apple.

Peanut butter on chocolate rice cakes (I know it sounds weird but it tastes AMAZING).

I love crunchy peanut butter American style with Jam on toast.

But my current favourite is Pitta bread filled with peanut butter and sliced banana (and sometimes a dash of honey for a really sweet treat).

Mini Fools Gold Rolls.

Adapted from Elvis Presley's (allegedly) favourite snack but don't eat more than once a year or you too will die on a toilet.

One crusty roll or mini baguette per person
Peanut Butter
Strawberry or Raspberry Jam
Three rashers of streaky bacon per roll

Fry the bacon until crispy then place on paper towels to drain.
Split the roll/baguette and spread first with a layer of peanut butter.
Then add a thin layer of the jam on top of the peanut butter.
Lay the drained crispy bacon on top of the PB and jam layer then close the roll.
Apply to mouth and roll your eyes with joy.

If you like that sweet/salty hit then this wondrous sandwich is for you. But like I said, eating it should be like Christmas, once a year only.

I love cooking with peanut butter, cheat satay sauce using it with chilli, soy sauce and a bit of fish sauce.

We also make something that I had named "faux Thai" chicken, except dh once misheard me and thought I said "bow tie chicken" - this was deemed hilarious and so it is now bow tie chicken (yes, the long winter nights do just skip by...)

Stir Fry chilli, garlic, fresh ginger, onions, chicken and green pepper. Then add a generous table spoon of peanut butter, a large glug of soy sauce (about 2-3 tablespoons), a glass of fresh orange juice, a bit of fish sauce, some Chinese 5 spice and chopped coriander. Reduce down until its a lovely sticky sauce while the chef scoffs a few spoonfuls of peanut butter serve with rice (fine to leave out the chilli if serving to little dcs).

Until last week is have said make with smooth peanut butter, but we only had crunchy in last week and it gives a really nice texture, so will be making with crunchy from now on...

(oh yes, hate hate hate "mums do xxx", parents please)

Banana sliced lengthways filled with Whole Earth peanut butter, sandwiched up again and eaten like that. Yum

On toast with strawberries sliced on top - or any fruit really. Raspberries, peaches, apple all lovely.

My DD swears by peanut butter on a banana, but I'm not convinced by that one Hmm

Some more indulgent recipes-

Home Made Banana Peanut Butter and Rum Ice Cream

Roast a couple of small Bananas in their skins for a few minutes to intensify their taste. If you want the Rum flavour you need to split the skins before roasting and drizzle in a little Rum.

Remove from the oven, skin and roughly mash the flesh.

Get a tub (1 litre) of Vanilla ice cream and allow it to soften a little. Spoon a tablespoon of Whole Earth Crunchy Peanut Butter onto the ice cream and dollop the banana flesh on top of the ice cream.

Swirl them both into the ice cream w/ a fork to roughly mix. Re freeze until ready to serve.

Peanut Butter and Apple Muffin

Serves two.

2 oz chunky peanut butter
2 whole-wheat English muffins, split and toasted
Apple slices

Split the English Muffins in half and toast them. Butter them then spread w/ Peanut Butter. Top with apple slices and serve. Sometimes honey drizzled over is good if your sweet tooth is very demanding.

To make Peanut Butter swirled Brownies, just swirl a dollop of PB through the Brownie batter prior to baking.

Gado Gado Spaghetti

1/2 pound spaghetti or ramen noodles
4 cups water
3 Tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon oil
2 Tablespoons sunflower seeds
1 Tablespoon onion
1/2 Tablespoon or one packet powdered bouillon base (see notes)
3 Tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
1/2 teaspoon spike (optional)
3/4 cup water, or more as needed
3 Tablespoons vinegar
3 Tablespoons soy sauce
3 Tablespoons peanut butter
Sliced green or wild onions, if available

Notes: A spicy peanut butter sauce makes this a light spaghetti dish that is excellent either hot or cold. This dish can have a fairly salty taste. Cut back or eliminate the base if you are concerned about saltiness.

Break pasta in half and put into boiling unsalted water to which 1 teaspoons of oil has been added. Cook until done; drain immediately.

In a fry pan, heat 3 Tablespoons oil and add the onions. Cook and stir over medium heat until the onions are lightly caramelised and soft. add the sunflower seeds and cook another 2 mins. Don't let the seeds burn..

Add the brown sugar, garlic, other spices if desired, and 3/4 cup water to the onion mixture. Add the vinegar and soy sauce. Add peanut butter and stir. Do not burn. To eat this hot, heat the sauce thoroughly and pour over hot spaghetti.

This recipe is best cold, and it loses some of its saltiness as it sits. Mix sauce and spaghetti, cool quickly, and serve chilled. If available, sliced green or wild onions as a garnish add to the flavour. Any type of meat or Quorn can be added to this dish. Pork is especially good.

Yield: 2 to 3 servings

I meant to add in - add onion mixture to the base THEN add the brown sugar, garlic, other spices and 3/4 of a US cup of water to the bouillon and onion mixture. Mix in and cook.

When I'm at the end of a jar of crunchy peanut butter I put some oil, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and cumin in the jar and shake it hard. The resulting yumminess is stir fried with cooked noodles. Mmmmmmmmmmm

I love Peanut Butter and do actually buy this one - I'm not just saying it :)

I'm a vegetarian low carber, so always looking for 'something different' that's low in carbs but tasty. The other day I mixed Whole Earth Crunch (of course!!) Peanut Butter with Food Doctor Savory Seeds and made them into balls, very very GOOD!!!

Right this sounds mad, I thought it was when I first heard it, but trust me, it works.

Peanut butter, marmite and cheddar sandwiches.

I know, I know, but if you love peanut butter, love marmite, you will find this a very satisfying sandwich!

I make lovely peanut butter scones. Just a normal scone recipe with peanut butter added instead of half the normal butter. They are a lovely savoury snack.
