Whole Earth has asked us to find out Mumsnetters' favourite peanut butter related snacks.

Here's what Whole Earth has to say, "Mums buy Whole Earth peanut butter because they know it's naturally delicious. Made with 97% peanuts, no added sugar and loaded with energy Mums know that choosing Whole Earth peanut butter is a great way to fuel their families throughout the day. It is also a perfect ingredient for baking crunchy peanut butter cookies - a delicious after school treat."

Do you use peanut butter to create homemade snacks for you or your DCs? What about peanut butter popcorn or peanut butter granola bars? Or perhaps you just use it to dip celery or carrot sticks into? However you snack with peanut butter we'd love to know.

Everyone who adds their feedback or uploads a photo of their snack will be entered into a prize draw to win a £150 voucher for a supermarket of their choice.

Many thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Ooooh peanut butter, I like all peanut related foods, can you tell?? :o

Where to start-

Chocolate brioche sliced in half lengthways
Lightly toast under grill for about 2-3 minutes in medium temp
Spread as much peanut butter as you'd like
Add some sliced banana on top
And scoff to your hearts desire

Smooth peanut butter mixed with natural yoghurt and a hint of chilli
Add some diced chicken and leave in fridge for a few hours
Cook chicken and serve with boiled rice and celery sticks for an easy toddler friendly curry

Peanut butter and chocolate spread rice cakes are also blardy good!

Love Whole Earth, no crap in it.

I have it with manuka honey on toast or crumpets, and sometimes make puff pastry pinwheels with it and some homemade plum and strawberry jam. (Spread it on a flat sheet of puff pastry, then roll in to a sausage, slice and bake). They don't last long.

When DS2 was a toddler he was really undersized and always gave up eating after two mouthfuls, so those mouthfuls had to count. I used to put cream cheese, peanut butter and strawberry jam or mashed banana on wholemeal bread. Two tiny sandwiches of that was enough calories to keep him going for half a day.

Now, DS 1 has bagel with peanut butter and jam in the mornings as the school day is long.

best recipe is definitely chicken curry: 1 tin coconut milk, 2 tbsp. of crunch peanut butter, chunk of grated ginger, 2 limes, zested and squeezed, one finely chopped red chilli, 1 teaspoonful of cumin and fenugreek. Whisk together then add chunks of chicken or turkey breast and marinade.

Cook on stove for 10 mins then add small cubes of butternut squash and finely sliced red peppers, cook for another 5, then add baby corns and sugar snaps or mangetout and cook for another 3-4 mins. Serve with chopped coriander and jasmine rice.

Classic peanut butter on toast.

I also use it to make a satay sauce

Peanut butter and marmite is also a really good combo

Mmmmm peanut butter and Nutella, totally agree. And great sounding curry ideas!

Our local fave cafe (Tea hive in Chorlton, Manchester) just did a chocolate peanut butter cheesecake. Might be the best thing I've ever eaten!

I love peanut butter.

My go-to quick breakfast is wholegrain toast with peanut butter (we use Whole Earth) and manuka honey.

Also love banana and PB 'ice-cream' as a healthy treat - frozen banana whizzed in the blender with a tablespoon of peanut butter!

Another one we do is peanut butter and apple stacks. Sliced apple with PB and a few dark choc chips between the layers.

I could go on!! PB cookies are great and easy and I also make PB and white choc blondies which always go down a treat!

peanut butter on toast plus marmite on top, if feeling saintly omit butter. works better with crunchy PB.

Most of our peanut butter gets eaten on crackers (DD1 prefers cream crackers, DH prefers ryvita), or in sandwiches, but a significant amount just gets rated straight from the jar with a spoon.

I sometimes make protein balls for DH with crunchy peanut butter and protein powder. They're like bounce balls, but much cheaper!

I rarely bake with peanut butter, but we do all love peanut butter cookies, so they don't last long.

Replace half the fat in any cake that uses bicarbonate or BP (eg fruitcake or ginger cake) with peanut butter. Crunchy is good in fruitcake, smooth is good in ginger cake - matching textures - but either way works.

Mix peanut butter with BBQmarinade, brush on before and during cooking. Goes particularly well with fish and chicken, a bit rich for red meats IMO.

Whizz half a jar or so into liquidised veg, mushroom or chicken soup.

Peanut butter goes with pretty much anything on toast or in a sandwich.

Peanut butter and nutella on hot toast or in a toasted sandwich of brioche is a breakfast to cheer up any rainy morning.

A dollop of PB, some yoghurt, cream, or custard piled on a slice of ginger cake and flashed in the microwave for a few seconds, is a super fast sweet treat.

A couple of spoons of PB blended with half a glass of milk, an ice cube or two, and a good splosh of Irish cream liqueuer makes a fab drink.

PB adds a bite to icecream too, especially good with chocolate icecream.

Favourite not-for-children milkshake is peanut butter/maple syrup/Jack Daniels. It's gorgeous.

DD loves peanut butter/banana/chocolate spread sandwiches but sadly she can't take them to school as it's nut-free Sad (Very very allergic child, so have no issues with the rule)

Personally I love hot buttered toast with peanut butter and raspberry jam, or honey, or golden syrup.

And now I'm hungry... Grin

I like it on crackers or a thick wedge of bread! Always reminds me of my childhood.

If only it wasn't so fattening...

A peanut butter "sandwich" made with peanut butter smeared between two chocolate digestives...lush!

Or there's the American standby of a Fluffer-Nutter---peanut butter, marshmallow fluff with optional banana slices on bread...quite nice griddled or toasted.

A teaspoon of peanut butter and a teaspoon of strawberry jam spread on top of a digestive biscuit.

Feels like an indulgent treat and is only about 100 cals

Peanut butter and mashed banana in a sandwich is heavenly and a great energy booster! I also sometimes add a nice big dollop of peanut butter to smoothies it adds another dimension and again provides an energy boost!
