SN children

Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Seriously, we need a meetup and there needs to be cake and we are going to call it a party and there will be invitations sent out to make up for all the ones that don't come.

We could do it in the summer holidays.

No way I can get to one but I could send a lemon tart in my place.

devientenigma · 18/06/2010 23:15

yeah, I'm north east too and I remember we were all going to meet up last year!!!

anonandlikeit · 19/06/2010 15:12

I can do London (depending on dates).
I can bring cake too!!!

Ilona33 · 21/06/2010 12:05

Yes, definitely. We need to name a place and date and meet up in different areas. I`m available to meet in London.

What about sometime in the last third of the summer holidays? Most of the holiday activities, playschemes and whatnot round here seem to run in the first few weeks and then we are thrown on our own resources, by the last few weeks craziness has well and truly set in. But it is well known that this can be offset by the effects of Cake.

And btw Coram's Fields would be great.

I live hundreds of miles away from London but would make the effort as it would be very interesting and give me a break!

londongirl4 · 25/06/2010 19:42

I'm pretty new on here, but live in London and would be up for meeting some other ASD mums- Coram's Field's good for me

Would you feel an outsider if your dc is not ASD but had severe sn of another kind,ie brain damage?

lou031205 · 25/06/2010 21:09

jardy - I am sure I speak for the whole SN board in saying that anyone with any child with any special need would be welcome, as long as they brought cake

My DD has a brain malformation, but apart from a few wobbles, I just plow on in.

Claennister · 27/06/2010 19:15

I am new, but I can bake cakes and I can certainly eat cakes. I am in Scotland too, I noticed a few other Scots on here, and it's just one in a zillion that anything ever comes to Scotland so it would be simply amazing to meet up with some people. I am Edinburgh area, can do limited travel.

jardy · 04/07/2010 21:05

Thanks Lou,would really love to come if I can and I will bring a cake,my dh bakes brilliant cakes.
