Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Seriously, we need a meetup and there needs to be cake and we are going to call it a party and there will be invitations sent out to make up for all the ones that don't come.

Seriously.

We could do it in the summer holidays.

Sure. If they give us a free venue, plus overnight stay with free babysitting, we'll start a thread about how wonderful they are!

fightingtheLA · 15/06/2010 17:30

Am in Essex so should be able to make a SE/London meet!

Ampersand44 · 15/06/2010 17:45

We're just south of NE! And I can do cakes!

roundthebend4 · 15/06/2010 18:39

niminypiminy · 15/06/2010 19:04

lou031205 · 15/06/2010 19:15

London is a bit too far for me with DD1, sorry. I am sure you will all have a great time, though

jardy · 15/06/2010 19:59

I for another would be interested.

ouryve · 15/06/2010 21:13

Perhaps our cakes should have a meet, Ampersand! I'm eyeing up the blueberries proliferating in my back yard, because they're going to make some mighty fine muffins

Al1son · 15/06/2010 21:23

Cake room for mums, party room for children! This plan gets better!

I do a mean double chocolate cake with ganache.

Just wondering if we should start a thread for each region?

glittery · 15/06/2010 21:39

Mumoftrio just outside Glasgow

MumofTrioTrioIwanaTrioIwant1NW · 15/06/2010 23:17

no that far from me then, aboot an hoor

yes regional threads a good idea or in our case, one scoootish thread

someone start them then ha ha

5inthebackofthenet · 16/06/2010 12:49

SO shal the NE'ers all meet in Newcastle? Not far from me at all

I can eat cake Ampersand, so we are well matched!

Arabica · 17/06/2010 00:16

I'm in London and Coram's Fields works for us, there are halls that can be hired reasonably cheaply (to keep the cake in if it rains).

Ampersand44 · 17/06/2010 09:04

Could certainly do Newcastle 5inthe back - 50 mins north on the train for us. And I'll always travel for blueberries Ouryve

Arabica · 17/06/2010 22:44

Coram's Fields cafe has very nice Austrian coffee too!

CardyMow · 17/06/2010 22:51

I can do London but would need good public transport directions to Coram's field. (Am in Colchester Essex)

debs40 · 17/06/2010 23:09

Shall we ask about booking a hall at Coram's Field? There's an email address on the website!

silverfrog · 18/06/2010 11:21

could probably do london meet, depends on dates!

verity - of &course we can send an invite. that's really sad you dd doesn't get invited. whereabouts are you? there's a couple of regional meets being discussed too. Im sure there must be someone reasonably near you?

roundthebend4 · 18/06/2010 12:20

Loudlass could meet up London Liverpool street Then grab bus

roundthebend4 · 18/06/2010 12:23

Or know it's cost there is always paradise wildlife park , in broxbourne ,zoo plus playparks and a wheelchair play area to

Arabica · 18/06/2010 13:36

Would we like weekend or midweek (perhaps in summer holidays) for the London meet-up? The halls are pretty large and there is access to a basic kitchen area and toilets. They do get very booked up in advance.
