After advice. If I send in evidence of new medication do I send it to the same address I sent the form, also how to I make sure it gets put with my claim form because it could end up sat in different piles at different people's desks?

Have you a letter with childs reference number? If not put childs name, DOB and your details (name and number)on all pages. And yes its the same address

They really are all over the place with COC claims 😵‍💫 from 20/3 onwards they seemed to be getting decisions at 21 weeks I wonder if that has carried on but they’ve missed me out, I have a feeling they’ve called the paediatrician for my claim and that’s what the delay is. Good luck with your decision, keep us updated if you hear anything ☺️

Will do, x they said i should hear something in the next week or two. Had phoned them to see if they needed me to send a letter to say he is on a waiting list and said yes send it special delivery. So sent it yesturday, should receive it today fingers crossed. Good luck with yours x

When it’s been delivered you can call them up and tell them the tracking number of your evidence so the dm can call through to get it, say it’s currently with a dm and they are waiting on that evidence. I sent mine that way a few weeks ago and did the same thing, still no decision yet but I’m trying to go from mrc with no evidence to hrc and hrm with piles of evidence so I think it’s going to take longer.

Lmtab · 26/09/2025 10:50

Hi I called today about my MR to check they had received new evidence which they had.

The date of my MR is June So I didn’t bother to ask for an update as i know off here MRs are in about March at the moment.

however, before I hung up she says ‘it looks like a decision is ready to be made and shouldn’t be much longer. It just hasn’t cleared on the system yet so I can’t say anymore.’

what on earth does this mean? Why would they have looked at it already… Could she have given me completely wrong info? Is it likely to be a decline? So many questions and now I’m so stressed when before I called I was just not thinking about it and waiting until the June dates were coming through!

That usually means that they’ve made the decision but it’s not been updated for the call handlers to be able to see just yet, which means it would have only just been made? I would call back to check later it seems early but she could be telling the truth?

That’s very quick as there’s still people waiting from February. I would say call them find out and let us know please . My MR is the 23/4 so I would be nice if that’s true I’m walking around with holes in my shoes atm so I can feed my child who has an obsession with food and I know there are a few here in my position. Please let us all know I’m at the point of going insane waiting 💜

I’m not sure but it shows the call handlers see a lot more than they make out they can see, it sounds like your claim won’t be to much longer, are you claiming for LRM or HRM?

I just spoke with an adviser about the Mandatory Reconsideration for my daughter’s mobility component. I sent it on 21/03/2025. They told me it’s still with the Decision Maker and I have to wait.

As she’s under 5, I sent all the evidence I had about her mobility and her cognitive difficulties. She has no sense of danger at all, so I tried to show she fits under SMI.

I really hope they will look at everything from the paediatrician, the school and orthotics.🙏🏼🤞

Alibex12 · 26/09/2025 11:43

When you call and ask for an update, is it noted on your file/case each time you’ve rang?

Yeah I waited six months for a decline on my first application so was expecting another six months for MR.

I have a feeling it’s just the wrong information I have been given . I wish she hadn’t of said anything. I only rang to see if additional evidence had come through.

I would call back but the thought of sitting on hold for an hour just to be told they can’t tell me anything doesn’t sound too appealing!

im the same money wise trying to meet my sons needs as a single parent. It’s awful, all the waiting to potentially be told no is just so cruel. Literally living in limbo!

Yes they can see when you have previously called

Hi my daughter is on MRC and renewal is due in March. She is turning 5 next month and we have always thought she should get HRC as we are up multiple times all night every night with her. We now have an EP and SALT reports as well and hopefully en EHCP by christmas. Do you think it's worth doing a COC? I know that they expect some 3 year olds to wake frequently but surely less so at 5?

fingers crossed for you that you do have a responsesoon. I’m hoping it’s right for you it’s a very long way from the 5th of November. It will be a year for myself. I have joined the Facebook group to check what dates they are on there and it seems like they’re still in the middle of March as well,I think I might give it a call today. I seriously cannot wait longer.

PositivityRipples · 26/09/2025 11:59

Currently on hold option 4 to see if they have received some additional evidence i sent last week M/R 4/4..
I'll update what lies they tell me once im through to them 🤥😆

Em1307 · 26/09/2025 12:25

Had a text today saying DLA has been approved. Does anyone know when we will get the payment?

PositivityRipples · 26/09/2025 12:28

M/R 4/4
Just rang option 4 to check additional evidence has been added to claim and it has, 25 weeks today, still in queue the claim doesn't have an owner as yet ( DM) she said they are very behind on their time scales and estimated timescales but she believes they are currently working through march M/R so Aprils and mays will be passed to DMs next ( obviously 😅😂)
Just to say
My N/C was 24th oct 2024
Awarded LRC only 28th march
M/R for HRC and LRM 4/4
25 weeks today
Hopefully not much longer for a decision 💫

3-5 working days depending on your bank
Call option 4 and ask for the decision rates 💫

Mrsoakley · 26/09/2025 12:41

I already get mrc for my daughter, I applied for the mobility to be added on once she turned 5. Does anyone know how long the wait is? Is this classed as a new claim or change of care? I received a text on 14/07 to say they’d received the forms.
thanks x

I do think it takes longer if you ask for the care and mobility together rather than just mobility etc :-/
I feel we have waited forever, just some have waited 10 weeks longer than us... posting more evidence today (4th lot) and im wondering if I should add a weeks worth of night time care i do? I never have before but his camera has picked up and alerted me to myoclonic seizure activity during night, although he stays asleep.. not sure if worth it :-/
