Called on the MR option and they said they can’t give MR results on the phone, is this right? Or is it a decline and they are avoiding telling me on the phone?

Recieved my phone call at 1pm yesterday also and got told a decision will be made and sent letter couldn't wait so phoned later on to be told couldn't tell me anything also

ladygindiva · 17/09/2025 07:09

NC woken up to payment of 721, SD 30/7 , suspecting this is HRC as not sure if qualify for mobility but my autistic DDs incontinence , sleep and personal care issues are full on. This is life-changing for me and I'm crying with joy here.

Flowers90 · 17/09/2025 07:50

Coc 26th Aug. Needs have since changed again as dd has now started overnight cpap. Going to have to call to update night time needs. Feels never ending and absolutely exhausted

Iamok123 · 17/09/2025 09:27

NC - 11 weeks from returning the forms to payment.

Jeniferfree · 17/09/2025 09:47

Jenni20 · 17/09/2025 10:04

Hi. I’ve read that some of Augusts are being done? My scan date is 22nd August. Does anybody else have an August scan date?

Renewals aren't done until few days before your current claim is due to end

Daryl54 · 17/09/2025 10:26

Has any COC heard anything?

I'm still waiting, it will be 26 weeks tomorrow and haven't heard anything. Haven't rang this week yet, but I am tempted to ring today and see what they say

Lolly966 · 17/09/2025 10:51

@kristie198

my little girls runs out the 9th October, called yesterday and they said it’s with the renewal team.. whatever that means and that they won’t make a decision till a few days before it’s due to run out. So long x

Irongirl71 · 17/09/2025 11:06

So, I've just called up to get an update on a nc. They've said that im looking at next year on a decision and that there is no timescale. This was after she tried gaslighting me, when I said that July's claims are now being done. She said don't believe anything you read on the forums.

I asked her if she had read the post from other people stating that they have had nc approved. She said no I said so don't gaslight me. And don't make out that I don't have the capacity to understand if someone's lying about getting there July claim approved.

I don't mind the wait. But they cant be sending texts that its 25 weeks then approve claims within 11 weeks . Then state to others that there is now no timescale.

Anyway waiting for a manager to call me now as im going to raise this as a complaint

Surely they have to have some kind of service level to adhere to. I've ne her known any company that doesn't have to issue service timescales.

M/R 4/4
Just called as sent additional evidence two weeks ago and called last week and still not on system but just called now and it's on the system, I've also sent additional evidence again today as seems all my child's letters are coming through at the same time which I guess is a good thing as means I can send them off and hopefully be awarded a higher rate with MR and don't need to take it to the first tier.. Anyway lovely lady said they are currently working through the last of Feb and March MR so shouldn't be to much longer now... Fingers crossed as they are flying through new claims 💫

I thought they used case manager and decision maker interchangeably

Disabledmom · 17/09/2025 11:33

Do you received extra element for UC for low rate care and middle rate care
the dwp just told me let me know if it’s high rate care

Good luck if you do 🤞 I called on Monday and he said my evidence and claim form is all in a pile to be handed to the dm then said oh your coc we can’t give out information anymore for coc 🤦‍♀️

Yes you receive a child disability element on UC for LRC and MRC, sure it’s £158. But if you get MRC you are entitled to carers element too X

I could be wrong but I didnt think you'd hear anything about appeals until you set a date?

I have no idea how it works 🤷🏻‍♀️

LucindaJane · 17/09/2025 13:53

@Irongirl71 You'd think they would have service levels to adhere to. But there's no competition is there? We can't go anywhere else. I felt this way when having to wait so long for my daughter's autism assessment.

Garfieldthecat · 17/09/2025 14:17

I’m at 27 weeks and a few days now for coc. I called in the last couple of weeks and they just keep saying it’s still
in the queue. I don’t think there’s anything I can do really. The support worker from citizens advice asked me a couple of months ago if I’d heard anything, but I don’t think there’s much she can do either. It could just go on like this for months!

MentyB · 17/09/2025 14:23

Hi, I've sent my sons renewal off due the end of November. Do we get a letter to say they recieved it? Or do I need to phone up?

LocoCoco13 · 17/09/2025 15:24

ProudZebra · 17/09/2025 12:55

I have no idea how it works 🤷🏻‍♀️

I just asked my sister who had tribunal and she said she heard nothing until the date was set and it took around 1 year

sarahxdx · 17/09/2025 15:46

Hi I had to do a MR,just a quick question of my son does get awarded it this time does it get back dated to when I first put the claim in or from when I done the MR also I believe you can get extra UC is this true and is this from the date your child gets awarded
