I know it was worth the wait all that anxiety sleepless nights x
Now need to update UC x

Omg same
I did pop a note in journal
do you know that’s more than the DLA amount as they got HRC

Yeah I did, got HRC which is backdated from dec (when I rang for the forms) but not sure how long for and will get LRM from 5th birthday which is September!

Amazing congratulations 🙌 that’s brilliant news about the LRM too, I’ve sent stuff in for HRM but atleast I know they will take LRM into consideration if they don’t think she qualifies for the higher rate, she will be nearly 5 by the time I get a decision

What needs to be the problem for higher rate? I’m losing hope on being approved for any DLA if I’m honest x

We have a MR date of 22/1, so I'm really hoping that we are looked at soon. This is seriously messing around with MH at the moment.

Mine too and ive only been waiting for April. Its extremely frustrating that they keep moving the goal posts of how long it will take too

Higher rate mobility is notoriously hard to get especially if it isnt for a physical disability. Even then its still hard to get my daighter is 3.5 and cant walk at all and she wasnt awarded. You have to have so much evidence from professionals too.

Sorry for the confusion. I didn’t mean higher rate mobility. Just higher rate care component xx

I’ve provided a lot of evidence for HRM under the smi rule, for this they need meet all the tests
1 They need to be on HRC
2 They have arrested or incomplete brain development, autism is classed as this.
3 Severe impairment of intelligence
4 Severe impairment of social functioning
5 Extreme disruptive behaviour
6 Regular restraints
7 Needs someone to be watching over them whenever they are awake.
Ive sent a 27 page statement proving each test and pointing out which part of evidence it has come from. Plus a walking diary which shows she can’t walk far before becoming dysregulated. It’s hard to get HRM under smi so I’ve put in all I can and if she doesn’t get it atleast I know they will look at LRM because she will be nearly 5.

They need to have higher needs throughout the day and night to qualify for HRC

Make sure you both write in your journal that you request for a decision maker to backdate the payment from (original scan date) as you underwent a mandatory reconsideration and it was backdated to that date. You probably already have but I know they don't always backdate if you don't clearly express it xx

When I got awarded I done this and I got backdated within a week, I see so many stories about people waiting ages but mine was so quick I was expecting it to take weeks! Hopefully you don't have a long wait for that after waiting so long for this bloody MR 😂x
