My three children who don’t get dla were verified within 4 days of doing the change im only waiting on my daughter the one who gets dla now x

Crazy why only done only three but maybe takes longer for one gets dla none of mine been done they said can't backpay mine till verified which is taken ages they done it so quick last time.

Bit the bullet and just called saying it’s still with dm and it has been since Thursday afternoon. I really don’t get why it takes so long the suspense is literally eating me alive.
im just hoping my boy gets it he really does need it as he’s a danger to himself has little mobility in his legs as they’re constantly stiff and being referred for adhd and autism under the hospital for his legs and currently trying physio but it’s not helping him and he’s still in constant pain and can’t walk without stopping every few minutes and on pain management due to his legs always being pain
10 minute walk takes well over 30 minutes with how often he stops and he has no sense of danger awareness either

Mine is still waiting to be verified also, been nearly 2 weeks. They are really pissing me off.

From Scotland so could be different but I haven been told a specific amount of weeks that I would need to wait but I called today and spoke to a nice woman and she said that DLA have brought people in and are training them to help with the backlog and I could be waiting up to year for a decision as COC are the least prioritised as I already receive some sort of award. Hopefully this isn’t the case but I’m not expecting to hear anything anytime soon🙈

I've seen a lot awarded taking around 28 weeks, the woman this morning was adamant they are done in date order 🙄🙄 surely if there is not many left they should get them done and off their caseload 😔

I know! The joyrnal is stupid they ignore the messages , seems everyone gets it done straight away mine nearly 2 weeks just waiting to be verified then more waiting for decision maker for back pay. Different if we owed them money tho, straight onto it then aren’t they

I tried again today and now with DM since this morning the guy on the phone said that they only do one at a time so he will be doing mine now.. is that right I was under the impression they got given a desk full? It's been opened and he has it but hasn't manged to make a decision in a whole day if that is the case as i tried my luck at half 4 🤣

Literally! I don’t know how much longer I can take waiting.
it’s been with the dm since Thursday afternoon last week and it’s coming upto 16 weeks this week.
the anxiety is killing me

This is what I’ve been told as well. Apparently when with a dm they have a few on their desk so it can still take a while to make a decision.
think at this point all NC COC MR etc are just pot luck with who’s desk it lands and how quickly they get through them x
