I’m still waiting from 9th Jan

Is this for a new claim? That’s a ridiculous amount of time :( are they waiting for further evidence from GP/school or something?

MrsBoo8888 · 27/06/2025 09:07

Good luck to those calling today

MrsBoo8888 · 27/06/2025 09:40

⭐️Positive Post ⭐️
New claim for my son.
Sent on 11.03.25, received next day.
Applied on 31.01.25
Received money into my bank today.
No letter or text yet, but think it's mrc and lrm.
Absolutely can not believe it, didn't think I'd get it and was doubting myself all the time. This will help my son so much.
Took just over 15 weeks wait.
Stay positive everyone who is waiting. This group helped me stay sane.

Finally our turn
Mr date 16th December
Gone from nothing at all to what I think is mrc and lrm 🎉

More fb awards today

It’s our turn!!! So happy for my boy!!!
Forms received 28/02/2025
Decision made 24/06/2025
Back payment received this morning £1394.10 Still waiting on letter so don’t know the rates. I’m thinking maybe middle rate. He’s too young for mobility part.

🎉 Positive post!
Woken up to 32 weeks of HRM backpay this morning after putting in an MR on 6th December. Previously on HRC LRM.
They told me my non verbal autistic 5yr old daughter wasn’t entitled to HRM because in her IDP it said (my words) that she enjoys outdoor spaces and is often a happy child. Obviously my first question was to ask why a disabled child is not allowed to be both disabled and happy 🤨

New claim received by them 12.3.25. I was really worried as I didn't have evidence due to child being home educated from the start, and not having a diagnosis yet. Woke up to a payment today, looks like middle rate care and lower rate mobility. This is going to help so much!

Positive MR
SD 10th Dec
Called yesterday to be told a decision had been made the day before but they wouldn’t tell me the outcome over the phone. Tried again this morning and gentleman told me my son had been rewarded HRC which had been lowered to LRC at renewal. But unfortunately they have shortened the awarded to only a year so in 6 months time I’ll be getting renewal forms again 😩😩

It's crazy the wait times isn't it, I did message on Tuesday or Wednesday and they said if I don't hear by today to message on journal which I have but who knows how long they'll take to reply🤦‍♀️ hope we both hear something very very soon! Most people have said 3 weeks which it's been 3 weeks on Monday for me and I'm sure your 3 weeks is up already!

I might call today - so , not related as such but thought I'd share , so they messed up my uc payments from a few years back from saying I was overpaid over £3,000 ( apparently was on carers allowance and maternity allowance at same time ) was not lol, and they were saying I needed to make a payment plan asap when I didn't even owe it ( I didn't and they apologised and it's sorted now ) after me going back n forth , it was extremely stressful however, if we supposedly owe money they want it sorted right there, but this we been waiting weeks.....

Lifeiswhatyoumakeit9124 · 27/06/2025 10:27

But getting any back pay back is like waiting at snails pace..

That's awful that is! How they can say you owe that much when you know you don't! I'm glad that was sorted out for you! I bet it was so stressful! And i know they seem to drag there feet when it regards them owing us but if we "owed" them it's needed straight away! When we was first awarded dla 2 years ago it was all sorted and Backdated within a week, I can't believe how long it's taking this time!

Thank you hun - I'm glad it's sorted too, it was awful, then they turned round and said " apologies it was an error on our side" I mean at least they rectified it but still! This is my point, there so fast on it if we were to owe them money, are you going to contact them today? I think I might x

No i know it's awful! But how do they make such a mistake to say you owe that much money😐 its so bad and yeah I think i will I'm going to wait it out till about 2ish then if I don't hear anything I'll phone them then, rather get it done before the kids are back from school so I can actually hear them😂x

COC 12.03.25

I’m guessing from MRC to HRC as pending in my bank. On phone now to confirm.

I wonder how I have been done for a COC in march, I thought they were on December?

good luck all.

Congratulations that was quick for a COC, please let me know how you get on, I will be in the same situation soon, I’m waiting for a COC but will have a renewal due for December, I’m hoping they just make the award longer than having to do it all over again

They answered the phone quick as well, are they feeling okay? lol 😂

the woman was lovely, gone from MRC to HRC as I thought, reward extended until 2033 she said I can bin the renewal forms and relax! Hopefully yours gets seen before renewal as well, fingers crossed for you.

well not much relaxing in this house I must say, but at least that’s one thing I can remove off my long to do list 😅😂

I never got acknowledgement that they received my claim so rung and said I totally understood it was too early but I just wanted to check it had been received as no acknowledgement. Explaining that I didn’t want to get to the 25 week mark being quoted to find no forms had reached their destination. They were absolutely ok about my query and really helpful. I think this is different to requesting whether there has been a decision made and they’ve not maxed out their timeframe
