DLA WAITING TIMES THREAD 66

1000 replies

zoeybrooks45 · 10/03/2025 14:50

Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Soooo after seeing so many getting a decision this week I thought I would ring and check. My daughter (2 years old) has been awarded!! Middle rate care like expected for her age. Over the moon for her, the only thing I'm annoyed at is that she was only backdated to her scan date which was 15/11 when I rang for the forms and sent them in time so that's confusing!

However, I am absolutely over the moon she was awarded. Good luck to everyone awaiting their decisions! And thank you for keeping me sane! Xx

I want to send some more evidence for my MR for HRM I’ve sent in her autism report again, letters from paediatrics, and a statement I wrote myself we’re currently fighting for a ehcp at the moment would also sending in the ehcp application that SENDIAS has helped me to complete be another form of evidence or any help at least? We’ve been referred to OT and camhs again but the waiting lists are long and I can’t get anything from them right now but show she’s on a waiting list x

They would have flagged wrong number before when you've rang though surely I'd ring them to check it's right again cos I think half. Of them can't be arsed z

Well he said I will put you through to someone who can change it as he couldn’t
but I said why would that be as they have rang it before and then he said ring back in 5 weeks
that was it and they wonder why they get so many phone calls

but by ring back would just be to hopefully tell me something different lol

bellab0013 · 21/03/2025 13:46

So I received a letter today saying they received forms on the13/02/2025 and that they are looking at the information sent does that mean we might hear something soon in regardsto a decision? Thanks everyone 😊 and GL!☘️

Makes my blood boil everything I ring to be honest all I ever get is we can't tell you how long you don't need to ring us until 25 weeks I've seen alot of new claims being done this for November but not Mrs z

I caved in and called about my MR 2/10 and used the excuse I’m just calling to see if my cover letter with new diagnosis information has been scanned. Anyway they said no but they transferred me to a decision Maker who added a note to say to call me before any decision is made! Not read that many get anyone else to talk to so my fingers are crossed. We first applied in April 2024 so been waiting a year and now we are days away. Stress is real

My Mrs 7-11 I just get read the same script everything hopefully not to long now nines been with decision maker since last Wednesday z

Joanna8412 · 21/03/2025 13:52

Same here mine so say has been with case manager for 3 weeks and they can see who but obviously can’t tell me
but does that mean it’s just in there pile or they are looking at it
but my mind goes over time now I’m thinking someone tried to call me that is why my number flags up and now they will just make a decision without talking with me

I think they must just get a whacking pile n go one by one it's ridiculous they should just do text updates when it's been passed on n send a text when ur is next less people would be running there phones down z

Definitely and best start would be with letters they send out saying 15 weeks
and it will be longer then 5 weeks for me as my week lands on Easter
would be nice to know if it’s all date order like NC,COC and MR or are they in the category

You would have thought an mr would be quicker because they've only had to get extra evidence or literally look over it x

Mine is 25th April but that lands right after Easter weekend so I imagine that will add a week on top

hopefully we hear way before that

Mamto3boysX · 21/03/2025 14:17

Hi everyone wondering if anyone has had a decision on renewals today, my son's old claim ends on the 20/04, I'm getting so impatient now😬 xx

No hun you wont have a decision soon unfortunately. Its a 25 week wait from the date they received your forms so 13/02.
They are currently working on mid november new claims now x

1senmum2another · 21/03/2025 14:20

Evecob · 21/03/2025 13:30

I rang for my son SD 21/11 today and no update yet. Not with anyone.

My daughters was 14/11 and was decided on 18th so hopefully by early next week we will know :)

Edited

I also called today, no update either. Fingers crossed next week its good news for us both. Ill give another call middle of next week. Keep me updated hun x

NC SD 12/11
I'm wondering if I pushed my decision back now ringing to tell them would be sending more evidence as this week they seem to be flying through November dates

It won't hold anything up I did the same I called told them I was sending extra info the following day. I sent info for no reason in the end just has I'd left post office got a text from dla

MistandFog2024 · 21/03/2025 15:25

1senmum2another · 21/03/2025 11:24

The closer its get the more nervous it becomes, have you called recently to see if you have an update x

I called on Wednesday morning h to check that some evidence had arrived and it was still in the queue then, although just seen someone of fb with same scan date and they have called and theirs is with dm now so hopefully won’t be too long, just want to know either way! x

PSO123 · 21/03/2025 15:41

24 weeks today MR. Called again absolutely pointless. Same script. Been with a decision maker for well over a month. The advisor also did the loudest cough down the phone it nearly burst my ear drum.... didn't help 😂😂

See I rang them this afternoon and they said with a decision maker and note that we are waiting on more information from you. I said I had sent they received it today but can take 6 weeks to upload on their system genuinely don't think can wait another 6 weeks lol

abbs1 · 21/03/2025 16:26

Just reading some of your posts. 6 weeks to upload evidence and I've had my text for 25 week wait. Is there only a handful of people working at the DLA office? And weeks and weeks with decision makers! 🤦‍♀️ seems like all our children are just a bunch of numbers to them. Excuse my rant. I'm frustrated for all of you and I've only just started the process!

blueskies1331 · 21/03/2025 17:15

NC SD 21/11 just submitted new evidence. It wasn't with the DM on Wednesday and was told I could still submit.

brc13 · 21/03/2025 19:46

Just a bit advice to anyone, if you have evidence later on in your claim just send it even if it delays you getting a decision for a couple more weeks🙈 my LO was prescribed melatonin 2 weeks ago and I took advice on here of someone saying not to send it but it would have been evidence that my LO struggled with sleep. I’m in Scotland so don’t know if it’s a bit different but my LO was awarded LRC for all his day time needs but he could have got MRC or even HRC if I updated them on his sleep and melatonin because he has night time needs. Partially my fault as I didn’t realise you needed night needs to qualify for higher but his sleep has changed a lot since I put my forms and evidence in October and I did write roughly what his sleeping was like but wish I explained it better. Just send the evidence as I’m now having to wait an extra 4 months to see if he qualifies for higher🤞🏽

I was awarded today. Stamp date 13/11.
I sent evidence a few weeks ago, although no idea if it was considered
