Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

This is what I'm going to do . Calling and getting told different things isn't helping .

Yep, also in the nicest possible way I think checking this forum (and google) is making my anxiety levels worse 😬 gonna just take a step back and wait now. Fingers crossed for our little ones 🤞

I wasn’t feeling very positive as I haven’t heard a thing but just seen a pending payment in my bank for tomorrow, I can’t believe it! I think its MRC and LRM but going to call and find out.

NC - SD 23/10

I called on Monday and go told I had another 6-8 weeks, however just noticed the back payment has gone into my account yesterday and my daughter has been award exactly what I believe she is entitled to. No letter or anything other than the payment yet though.

My daughter got her ASD diagnosis last year and I had never completed forms like this before. Like so many of you, I had been really worried I’d not put enough detail in or I’d completed something incorrectly, so I just wanted to say, try not to worry, and I hope all you hear soon and your little ones are award what they are entitled to.

Ours was scanned on 16october I phoned 20th September for claim forms . Still nothing yet for us.

They really do need to sort this system were the payment arrives before the letter does 😂 obviously that's a bonus it happening but it would be nice to know what was going on first

NC 12/11 still waiting, called monday got the 25wk talk

I submitted on previously when we first claimed. I would submit it as it shows school is providing additional support to your child.

Still waiting this wait is draining me now NC SD 29/10

18 wks today for MR SD 17/10/24 . I understand everyone is waiting their time frame... but it's so upsetting seeing new claims being approved with the same date and when i first applied for my son on 30th May 24 ...to be declined in October 2024 , MR Sent back same month ... I just feel so deflated. No point calling up cause you get the same generic words. At the same time I'm happy for everyone but also lots of swear words towards the dla because this sucks

Mr 18/9 been with dm since last Monday

My first da is the 14/3/2024 was a no coz they lost my daughters letters off prove of her disabilities so waited the whole 18 weeks told over phone it’s a no done the mr on the same phone call the 18/09 am on nearly 22 weeks now been with dm since last Monday still no decision this morning had to send all new letters in for my little girl same day I done the mr they have them thank god they haven’t lost them again haha it’s so so bad the way they keep you waiting an then you see people after you being awarded

Same all I could send was the letter that early years sent me about my son what he like and health visitor reports and she done a letter I had a letter come through the other day for his first appointment with speech and language for 19 march just waiting for autism assessment appointment to come through now but just don’t think it’s enough with what I sent them :( xxxxx

Unfortunately MR are taking the longest to process they are still in September and you probably have 2-4 weeks left. Average outcome is most likely around 22 weeks at the moment.

@KCJ1984 personally I would send it as evidence of the additional support school are providing your child. I’ve always sent my son’s Sen plan xx

M/R with decision maker but told could still be 3 weeks making it 25 weeks 🙄. Scan date 17th September. Feels like a lifetime wait
