Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

@UpsideDownAndBackToFront I ended up calling as had a spare 10mins. Glad I did now as my ds claim hasn't been recorded on the system so the lady said she would escalate it and send it to the case manager to be looked at asap. She said I'll definitely receive a text message when it has been done then I need to wait for the letter.

Called up yesterday for a COC dated 13/09. The woman told me they're taking 20 weeks at the moment and went very quiet when I pointed out it's been 23 weeks....apparently she didn't have the ability to see if it was with a decision maker yet 🙃

I sent over extra evidence start of last week, rang on Monday and said that it’s been scanned onto the system, I didn’t get chance to ask anything else as my children started to argue (half term joys!) so I ended the call. I don’t know if I dare ring again, some of the call handlers seem a bit grouchy 😅

@Bel1234 @fedup1212 did you receive a text saying you where eligible ? If not I'm wondering if the texting system isn't notifying people

Just called up and used opt 4.. only took 35 minutes to get through if anyone wants to call now!

She's been awarded HRC and LRM until October 26. Backdated from Oct 24. 🥹

Omg lucky you called! I rang on the Friday morning and they said they’d push it through to be processed and then I rang on the Tuesday morning and it was done, so with a bit of luck you might even know by the weekend! Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Same scan date and I was told the same yesterday. Pretty sure they tell you either way if they’re going to tell you (not all can/will)

My scan date was 9/10 when I rang yesterday they said it was with decision maker getting so nervous now it's such a daunting wait and seeing others with later scan date and awarded making me worried

I really would take what they tell you with the biggest pinch of salt. I called up to see if I had to send extra evidence for my daughters MR (2/9/24) they told me "yes you do ad they are taking the full 25+ weeks at the moment"
Off I went to the post office to come home and have a letter to say the MR was refused letter was dated the 9/2/25. And the date I called was the 13/2/25. Good luck to you xx

So frustrating I just would like to know so I can get on with appealing and then the wait for tribunal.

got through . No update . Man was really nice . Just got the usual 25 weeks wait but should be looked at soon

@Nice1nix I was exactly the same! Then I had to wait all weekend for the statement of reasons so I could lodge an appeal. So frustrated they didn't contact the school or the GP. And based the refusal on a school report I sent and quoted "she is a happy and helpful child" ignored the supporting letters, ignored the NSFT referral acceptance for ADHD assessment completely ignored the SALT report and proof of sessions. Very disheartening however I do believe appeal success rate is quite high xx

Hi my scan date was the 5/11 been 15 weeks I haven’t phoned befor so just called to be curious the man was loverly and he sed decision hasn’t been made yet but it is with decision maker now he sed it’s 100 percent with them but not sure when they got it . does any one no how fast process is normally now surprised it was so quick to be honest

My SD is 26/10. Phoned yesterday and spoke to a lovely lady and mine wasn’t with a DM either.

Ino am not sure too I fort it was quick my self that’s why I said r u sure and he said 100 pecent I did take the full 8 weeks to send it back as I was waiting for his asd assessment befor I sent it too so I fort maybe coz the date I rang up and asked for form was early august coz I haven’t seen any one else from early November yet x
