Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Oh wow, I'm the 5/11, you've made me feel slightly more hopeful! Need to call at the end of the week to check some evidence was scanned on, keep putting it off hoping the later I ring it will be good news lol

@Mumoffourlovelies I keep thinking the same, phoned last week and was given the 25 week speech but was seeing mid October award😅. I'm getting so anxious even thinking about phoning again

Hiya scan date 21/10 - sent some extra evidence today, so nervous that it won’t get their before a decision maker looks at them, considering a lot of mid October claims are being looked at.

do I just leave it until Friday and call to see if they’ve received the letter or do you think it’s best to let them now more is on the way..

I did speak to someone last week and told them I’m waiting on some new evidence to come through and will send it as soon as I’ve received it - to just be told about the 25 week wait , but looking at it now, their moving down on Octobers dates pretty quickly

Did you send it special delivery? I think you'll be ok if you did.

I sent extra evidence by special delivery last week and it was scanned on their system within 24 hours of receiving it the next day

I sent it first class, I live in Wolverhampton, and the post office lady told me I’d be over spending doing special delivery as first class is likely to be delivered in 24hour in the same city anyway… hopefully it arrives tomorrow and scanned on as soon as possible, I’m going to hold out I’ll Friday and ring to see if it’s been scanned on seeing it was so fast for you too x

Eek I've woken up to a payment in my account! Didn't expect a decision for a couple more weeks yet! NC SD 28/10!

It's £2206. Am I right in thinking this is HRC & LM with the £10 Xmas bonus? SD was 28/10

Sent my form off in November when he was on the waiting list at camhs for autism assessment, in Decemeber his assessment started and now a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and moderate intellectual disability has been given, should I send the assessment report to DLA? Or is it too late, thanks 😊

Hi I've been quietly following this thread for a while just wanted to give an update as it helped me seeing other people's! NC scan date 10/10 I called Friday 14th to be told it was in the queue. Called again yesterday and was told a decision was made on 15th but she couldnt tell me - she put me through to someone who could and we have been awarded LRC and LRM until May 2029 which I'm delighted about. Payment has been received this morning. I rang at 9am and didn't have to wait long. Just feels good for it to be recognised that my son does have more needs than the average child because I was starting to doubt myself. All I sent was his autism diagnosis report and some appointments for webinars to help with eating as he's very restrictive. Didn't have much to send as we don't get any support really. Told him I can buy all the seamless socks his heart desires now haha! Good luck all.

SD 25-27/09 can’t recall which one it was lol. Hit 20 week mark last week and just ring today to be told could be few more weeks coz been reading through some of these threads. So annoying. We applied for HM we currently get HRC and LM. Hoping it’s not to far off now :(

Hey everyone, my son oldest doesn't have a decision yet (SD 24/10) but I also have another claim for my youngest son (12/12) so we are a while off for his. He has been referred to a dietician for possible ARFID and mainly because he doesn't really eat just chews foods up and rubs it over himself or rubs over other surfaces. He will only eat a few bites of food per day, and has less than 10 foods he will even eat.

Would you send his referral letter off as extra evidence or is this not proof of extra care need? So far with his claim I've sent:

Sleep diary
ASQ reports
SALT report
OT report
Portage statement
HV statement
Playgroup statement
Detailed sensory diet diary
Daily SALT activities plan
2 written pages of extra aids we have for him and how they are necessary, and how we help him use them
6 pages of detailing each part of our daily care

He is under investigation for ASD and GDD

just called and they said my son was awarded on Monday Mrc lcm I am so shocked and pleased. He is awaiting adhd assesment and learning difficulties. Only been awarded for a year but should have more evidence by then .

Rang this morning and have been told it hasn't even been looked at yet! Would they say over the phone if it is a denial? Such a long and drawn out process 😫

NC SD 25/10 - Just rang and my little son has been awarded for MRC & LRM. Only for one year, but should have more proof for renew! Very grateful for all 🙏🏽
Not to sure how long before the money lands into my account, any idea? Xx
