Please feel free to add your scan date and whether it's a new claim/mandatory reconsideration/change of circumstances or renewal.
New claims (NC) - people are being told the wait time has increased to 25 weeks! I would say most are done before this though around the 20 week mark?
Mandatory reconsideration (MC) and Change of circumstances (COC) is around 20-25 weeks.
Renewals tend to be between 15-20 weeks.
If you disagree with the outcome of an MR you can appeal and go to court (tribunal)
Scan date is the date DLA scan your application forms on to their system, if you downloaded your application forms then this will be from when your award will be backdated from. If you called up for forms then the date on those is the date yours will be backdated from.
If successful and claiming universal credit (UC) please update them as this will entitle you to disabled child element adding extra to your award.

Hello. Do you mind me asking the name of the Facebook group please?

We have a scan date of 10/10 so hoping we will hear in a few weeks (judging by a few comment here) but when I rang at 15 weeks they told me they expected I would hear early April!

@Danielle822 no , the person I spoke to today said it was waiting to be looked at by a decision maker . So I think it's still in a pile

Dw about that they say that to keep people off the phone lines and also it's their maximum deadline for your specific claim.

Hi my SD for a new claim is 19/11. My son is 3 and none verbal and development delays. Since I filled out the forms my son’s sleep has got worse, just wondering if I should send a note to dla about this or a sleep diary? I don’t have any proof to say his sleep is poor as we are still waiting for paediatrician appointment so would just be my word at the moment so wondering if it’s worth sending or not? Thanks x

My little boys in a similar situation . I'd send the sleep diary anyway . It won't do any harm !

Yeah the person I spoke yesterday couldn’t wait for em to get of the phone my claim is still being looked at and it could take up to 25 weeks and that to wait for them to send letter 😳but was thinking about ringing again today hoping I get a different person lol 😂 the wait is killing
