@SKB12 Yes a team leader is completely different to a DM.. But if a call handler told you a team leader is calling you that could mean anyone because the call handlers call the case managers DMs and all sorts.. Is it for a complaint because that will just be someone higher up in the call centre i assume

So....
Got through to what I can only assume is a new call handler... Only to be a told a decision has been made.
Put me through to someone who could tell me. They just told me the details of the original claim that I had and that my change of circumstances has not been done... Here's to more waiting. What a rollercoaster of emotions that phone call was. Can't take this anymore 😂

Oh god. That must’ve been gutful to have your hopes dashed like that

Yes, it’s to discuss why claims are being done out of date order etc. They just said a team leader would call to discuss

PositivityRipples · 13/12/2024 13:06

@SKB12 ooo okay, yeah i assume that will be someone higher up in the call centre or they could escalate that to complaints so may be a manager

D78 · 13/12/2024 13:17

Ok so I caved and just rang them. SD 02/08 told it is with a DM. Not sure if I believe that. I did ask for a note to be put on for me to get a text when decision is made. He said it may still take up to 25 week!! He did say calls are quiet today if anyone is thinking of calling. Rooting for all the July people before me though. 🤞🤞

This makes a lot of sence. I was reading the guidelines the other day and my son is autistic but they stopped doing the levels now it’s just autistic spectrum disorder. My son was only diagnosed this summer. I went through my evidence and what it shows on there to the guidance, he is between moderate and severe. Some show severe some moderate. Like an example, a 10 year old with autism should sleep through the night but when they have higher level of autism they could find it hard to sleep or stay asleep. Austim may have levels of problems with communication some non verbal severe austim, but some with limited understanding and communication, but communicates wheat they want to talk about, moderate austim. So yes my son has both signs, different parts of him, are between the 2 of them. Hopefully they have enough not to escalate to anyone else. I have send full report, iep big letter from
senco, but yes I totally get what you are saying. X

What guidelines was you reading? X

@sjay1017 my son must fall in to the “higher” category he’s nocturnal. Awake all hours of the night and currently fast asleep!

Shymama · 13/12/2024 13:35

Right im gonna torture myself some more and call them 🤞🏻

D78 · 13/12/2024 13:39

@Shymama at least it may be a good day to ring. The guy I spoke to couldn't help enough 🤞

@sjay1017 my son must fall in to the “higher” category he’s nocturnal. Awake all hours of the night and currently fast asleep!

That’s my daughter 13 nearly 14 right now fast asleep. Just had meeting with school on teams. After 3 years of no school they finally trying to help me get her back to school, which she won’t. have to put in another claim as they didn’t recieve my form apparently so
lost 8 weeks of a claim.
my school suggested one hour on a Monday and Friday of a teacher she likes. That’s it she couldn’t do that this week and wouldn’t. Now it just get her into the school to pick up some forms for s19 and home learning sometime next week.
honestly the battle with these children are real, she suspected adhd/asd it’s at panel, but my daughter won’t sign the doctors consent form for me to access these records so she could of been diagnosed now and I won’t be able to find out as she 13 and turned it all into a a game. So frustrating xx

Shymama · 13/12/2024 13:43

Oh I'm crying!
Phoned and the man that answered was probably one of the nicest I've spoke to, Decision made on 11/12 MRC 2 years, back payment due by Tuesday.
Hoping everyone else hears soon! 🤞🏻
