Still don’t think mine is assigned either😂
another rubbish weekend wondering😭

Another week of nothing although we know they are working weekends. You’ve more chance of hearing than me. Had hoped to get call while kids are at school but knowing my luck they’ll ring right as they are due or at home

I just want us all to have a decision as soon as. I just can’t mentally take all these other claims after my date being done😭 it wouldn’t be so bad if it was just one, but it’s multiple. Makes me think my sons has been shoved in a cupboard

That’s it for me as well. It’s been several cases which is what I said to call handler and since we know they aren’t extenuating circumstances it isn’t fair to those of us who are being kept waiting

Scc1991 · 13/12/2024 12:08

Coc 16/07
So....
Got through to what I can only assume is a new call handler... Only to be a told a decision has been made.
Put me through to someone who could tell me. They just told me the details of the original claim that I had and that my change of circumstances has not been done... Here's to more waiting. What a rollercoaster of emotions that phone call was. Can't take this anymore 😂

No I think at this point you have more chance of hearing before me😂😂 always the way isn’t it

Bet your stomach was doing somersaults. Then to hear it’s just your current rates and what not🤦🏽‍♀️ terrible absolutely terrible

PositivityRipples · 13/12/2024 12:14

@SKB12 wolverhampton is just the mailing site, they scan claims and evidence on to the relevant claimants benefits accounts for various different benefits.. No DMs see any physical paper evidence unless they request it which is never 😂 they just see a system infront of them with all your scanned paperwork on the screens

The worst part was that it reminded me that my son's renewal is due within a year so will have to go through the whole process again. 😭

They might extend your award through the COC. I started my sons coc in march, they kept his current rate and extended it for 8 years in July. His renewal would of been January🤷🏽‍♀️

Oh really? That would be great and would save a lot of stress. He receives HRC but I'm just applying for mobility as he turned 5. Do you know when you get put through to someone who can tell you the decision are they the decision makers?

dshort1994 · 13/12/2024 12:26

NC 26/07 20 weeks today, called just now & spoke to a nice lady who said it has been assigned to a DM but no decision has been made yet. Was told it might take 25 weeks but keeping fingers crossed it’ll be before Christmas. Congrats on the awards today xx

So I’m doing my sons MR for HRM, he gets the hrc so all they did was extend the award cause that’s what I was worried about getting the renewal forms at the same time as doing the COC but didn’t have to do it in the end.
And as far as I’m aware it’s the call handlers, however I could be wrong. I’m sure someone here should know

PositivityRipples · 13/12/2024 12:30

@Chels2020 Pretty sure they throw some of them in the shredder when they cba 😭🥺🫠

Thanks for the help. I have applied for my son under smi rules also so from what I have seen on here it's not likely to be awarded as higher rate anyway so will probably be straight onto an MR the same as you

Maybe a silly question. Does it go to certain places on where you live then? I’m in south west and someone I know same area claim was put in July and was awarded October. I thought maybe it was area based as well? X

That makes sense, thank you. Address to send in PIP paperwork is also Wolverhampton. Is a team leader different to a DM? I’m awaiting a call from a team leader

I believe certain areas are being done quicker. West Midlands being bottom of the pile

PositivityRipples · 13/12/2024 12:34

@sjay1017 whichever address you send back to for your area that handling site will scan your paperwork or claim onto the DWP system

hopefully that is not the case for you. It’s amazing how they decide tbh, my son fits everything for SMI but they didn’t even take the SMI criteria into consideration

I was told by CA they legally have to consider all evidence. If the outcome doesn’t go in favour, I’ll be requesting to find out what evidence was actually read 😂
