Would love to find someone with a similar scan date so we can wait this horrible wait out together! 😂
not 100% of scan date but rang them today and said they only received my forms 6 days ago but can I check to see if it’s been scanned into the system yet. Lady was lovely, she said she doubts it as it takes at least a couple of weeks but checked anyway and laughed and said she takes that back as it’s all scanned in the system and ready and I should hear back by middle of Jan!

Matthews89 · 18/09/2024 14:14

My scan date is the 15 th may and still not heard anything

I'm going to call again on Friday. I hate it when they say don't call again, if we were told a bit more and not told different things every time we called we wouldn't keep calling. 19 weeks Friday x

I hate that too, its so rude to say that knowing how long we have to wait the first time, let alone with a MR on top.
Only once have I spoken to the nicest guy there, who said for me to ring as much as I needed, as he could imagine how it feels to be left waiting so long.
It honestly makes me wonder if half of them even have a computer to check at all, they just sit with a phone, ask the security questions and then make a story up, because they lie so often 🫣
Good luck calling on Friday, I will keep everything crossed for you 🤞

Mine was the 17/05 and they made a decision this morning maybe worth calling but I selected numbers 1523 as I find that way the people are way more helpful xxx

Matthews89 · 18/09/2024 14:32

How did you get the decision was it through a text or call

Rachdaislil · 18/09/2024 14:34

When I called around 3 weeks ago, I was informed then it was with the decision maker, I spoke to someone last week who was incredibly rude about me calling, and he informed me that it wasn't with a DM, and that they were awaiting my child's senco reply to them, and he advised me to call back today, and I've been told a completely different story to what he said previously 🤣 it's very confusing.
Today I was told to chase again in a "couple of weeks" if I haven't heard anything

I don't understand why some can be so rude! I understand they have people ringing all the time to check progress but that is part of their job description and we also have a right to know how it's progressing especially when it's been this many weeks with no updates, im sure thats their favourite saying "ring in a couple of weeks" 🫣😂 I hope you hear soon and it's a positive outcome 🤞

Pickledeverything · 18/09/2024 16:34

Just joining the thread. My daughter’s forms were scanned July 25th so still got a long wait ahead of me. They wanted her birth certificate so I sent it and it got lost in the post so I’ve had to buy a new one and will send that when it arrives in October.

I'm going to call a week today, no way I'm not going to be calling anymore and just wait for the postie to tell me. They need to be a bit more understanding, we know they are busy, but they get paid, while for months now we've been fighting for our children 😒

Summermightbegreat · 18/09/2024 17:47

Has everyone from April had their decisions yet? İt feels like last time I checked this thread everyone was being processed from March and April and suddenly it's jumped to mid May. I'm 3rd June so hoping that means it's only a couple more weeks to find out, although I'm still a month away from it being 20 weeks.

I know right! The anxiety of waiting is becoming insane 🤣 I've never checked so much for the postman, even when I'm at work I'm checking the doorbell to see if anyone has come, each time I get a text I'm anxious 🤣

You should get the disabled child element in your next assessment period but backdating is about 4 weeks x

I was told a couple weeks ago that the 19th was a day I could be calling and chasing etc. (obvs I called before then, and since have been told a couple more weeks) So I may give them a call today and ask what's happening.
Consistently checking my online banking too, I feel we're going to be declined in all fairness, everyone is so vague when on the phone, told one thing, then another which makes me think they're making it up as they go along, and they're just waiting for me to get a decline letter 🫣 I've been holding back on buying things our OT has suggested we have (as they're not cheap!) on the off chance it's been accepted this week, but looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet xx

Hesxboon · 19/09/2024 07:51

Yep still nothing

Hesxboon · 19/09/2024 07:51

@Dunwaiting yep still nothing

MammaT7 · 19/09/2024 10:43

I called this morning, wasn't a good result for us unfortunately - they denied our claim, reasons are absolutely diabolical in all fairness, stated my child can communicate which she can yes, however she has cleft pallet, speech delay, lateral lisp, has SALT, she has one leg longer than the other, so walking is ok in small amounts until she's in pain. She doesn't have an EHCP, but she has a personal care plan within school, but because she doesn't have 1:1 they've denied our claim. I'm behind heartbroken for her
