20 weeks tomorrow (SD 28/5) , called today & was told still no decision.
The lady on the phone said to me to try calling again tomorrow and they can transfer me to another team who can escalate it. Feel like it's just my luck for it to be taking so long 🤣

Oh wow! That’s ridiculous, is it a new claim?

pinkcr0cs · 14/10/2024 12:51

@Mommyp95x yes, new claim - I asked if there was a reason it's delayed & the lady on the phone looked into it & said there was nothing outstanding on it & was literally just waiting on a decision.

MumToThreeLittleOnes · 14/10/2024 12:57

Yes just keep calling every week! It's a long wait but I'm hoping you get the decision you need just keep positive

Thats crazy! Hopefully you call tomorrow and a decision has been made, I have my fingers crossed for you x

I was going to comment if anyone was still waiting from may claims. I’ve seen a lot of June new claims awarded in the Facebook group ☺️ 31/5 20 weeks on Friday hopefully when I ring then a decision has been made 🤞🏼

Ah it's good to see someone else with a similar date to mine! Keeping everything crossed that we hear in the next couple days!

Hayes1208 · 14/10/2024 14:40

for anyone that’s been awarded and on UC, when you informed UC, did you ask about backdated disabled child element or did you automatically get it?
If so how long was you waiting? Thanks

Ask for it on your journal or they won’t backdate it they’ll just pay it moving forward. Just leave a note saying your child has been award whatever rates and you’d like disable child element backdated from the scan date

Congrats to everyone that has been awarded! And good luck to all that’s waiting just a quick question if anyone can help, Does anyone who receives uc know how long roughly it takes for back pay to be awarded? I received a note in journal telling me it’s be sent to a decision maker but couldn’t give me a time frame only that as soon as it’s been made i will get a message in my journal. Anyone had the same and has had back pay yet any help would be appreciated 😊

Mummyof6love · 14/10/2024 20:15

We reported it in the middle of our assessment period and was awarded the back pay the following month. It was very quick.

Charliesmama09 · 15/10/2024 09:25

Seen my scan date be awarded a few times so I’m positive mines a decline just waiting on the letter 😔 wouldn’t be surprised I didn’t have much evidence just a paediatrician letter, diagnosis letter and nursery care plan didn’t have anyone to sign the people who know you bit either

They are people that didn't even have a single evidence they got the high rate.so don't worry about that too much.
What's your scan date if u don't mind?

I think it was even less than that. It depends where you are in your assessment period I suppose. I put a note in my journal explaining that I had been awarded and the reason I hadn’t told them sooner (obviously you can’t tell them until you know 🙄) requested it to be back paid and then before my next payment went in I received the back pay separately and then my regular payment was updated.
