Forestfruits7 · 15/08/2024 16:00

Are you supposed to ask for the scan date? And if so, when?

NameChange30 · 15/08/2024 16:15

Stacey0909 · 15/08/2024 14:16

I didn't get one

Did you tick the box on your form requesting a text? I know some people tick the box and still don’t receive one 🤔

Morning everyone,
scan date 15/4 long time lurker but you've all been keeping me sane for the past few months.
Just in case anybody else misses a call…I had one from an 0800 number this morning followed by a text asking me to ring back. It was just a question as to why my form was a few days late (made the mistake of not sending it recorded! Should’ve read this forum sooner) the man was lovely and accepted it was free post and said he would get me a decision this morning!

As I was writing this post I just got a text saying my daughters been awarded 🎉🎉🎉 My hands are actually shaking. She is only 14 months but was born with a rare condition and together we have had a really tough year.

Good luck to all of you 💜

Congratulations lovely im soo happy you have been awarded for your little girl 🥰🎉🎉

Addalittlespice · 15/08/2024 21:30

Good morning everyone, woke up this morning with back pay in my account scan date 16/04! Looks like MRC (as he is only 4)! Our scan date is 18/04 so hopefully we'll have some positive news next week 🤞🏻

SD 19/04
I just rang and the guy said it’s in the final queue for a decision but because it’s been so long he’d push it into the first queue. And I should hear next week. Never heard that before but I’ll take it 🤣
I’m not going to ring again now I don’t think, just wait it out.

gwiz · 16/08/2024 09:39

Oh no 😟 I'm so sorry.. please do an MR.. it's absolutely gut wrenching to wait all of this time, then to get declined, you must be so upset, and as hard as it is, don't give up hope, and keep fighting x

I didn't have evidence, all i have now are the forms where I've applied for an adhd assessment with right to choose via the gp. Their reasons seem to be because he doesn't have 1 to 1 help at school and is in mainstream school. I don't have any school evidence and the school are not interested in him as he isn't obvious compared to others. He masks well at school isn't naughty just talks alot and is told off for that really. He copes at school but home is a different story. I do everything for him, wash him, dress him, constantly tell him to wash his hands, bath him etc. If I didn't he would sit in his pants all day! They said he has no extra care needs - he is 9. He can't tie laces, I have to get pull on trousers he can't so buttons. They don't chamge at school for pe we send them in their pe kits on pe days. I can't give them any evidence for school. Mayb it's not worth it

HangryLimeBeaker · 16/08/2024 10:38

@Mummy142 that's really frustrating i'm sorry you haven't been listened to. i hate where they give "in a mainstream school" as a reason. even with a diagnosed child it's incredibly difficult to get them in a specialist school... wasn't it on the news a few weeks ago how there's literally no spaces? also frustrating the school aren't helping. i hope you get the answers you're looking for with the adhd assessment x

Sounds like my girl she masks at school as well I’m waiting as well shes has got a diagnosis of autism and a massive report which I sent but my scan date was 11-04 and I’m thinking now it’s a decline which if it is I will fight it all the way I’ve been to tribunal before with my older daughter and won don’t give up I think sometimes they don’t read it tbh
