Long term watcher of the thread 🩷
I have a scan date of 23/04, we are 16 weeks and 2 days. Feeling very hopeful that we will know soon 🤞🏻. I am anxious that it will declined and can’t shake the worry that I will have to do a
mandatory reconsideration or whatever it’s called. Taken me 6 years to pluck up the courage to do it and submitted what felt like a dissertation to them 🤞🏻

Anxiouslywaitingmum · 15/08/2024 10:10

I'm 14 weeks into my MR and I just have this feeling like last time it will be a decline

Mammymummymam · 15/08/2024 10:42

Hi i was wondering if anyone knows how long universal credit take to verify the dla details and add it to your statement

chlo94xx · 15/08/2024 11:34

im 17 weeks waiting today scan date 18/04

thought I would ring as i've seen others getting awards around the same dates. Lovely man was helpful, he said he couldn't say if it was with a DM right now but it is in the right department for a decision and that I "could have a decision in the next 1 or 2 days, but they do advise the 20 weeks" hopefully it is the next few days. Its a horribly long wait, I just want to be able to get all the things my little lady needs :(

Same scan date as me.. I haven't rung up, so thank you for this update.. I'm trying really hard to ride out 20 weeks in the hope of getting news before that 🤞🏻 although another part of me thinks if we do ring does it 'push' a decision to be made a little sooner 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

Let's hope it's a positive one, and we hear sometime next week. X

I think I rang just to ease my anxiety but its possibly made it worse haha! I dread the idea of getting a decline after waiting all this time

hopefully we both have good news next week! fingers crossed for you x

Nattie23 · 15/08/2024 11:52

I feel exactly the same, it's such a long wait.. hopefully we'll get a positive outcome 🤞🏻 x

Hi! A bit of a lurker here, my scan date for my son is 25/04 so we are 16 weeks today. I was wondering if everyone had been requested to send in a birth certificate or if this wasn’t always the case? I haven’t been requested to send one, but when we did my older son’s DLA last year was asked to send his in almost straight after them receiving the application. Just wanted to ask here before I have to ring up to check!! TIA 😊😊

Thank you, worried we might have slipped through the cracks somewhere! My son has just turned 3, I will give them a call today 😊

srwoodco · 15/08/2024 13:28

Just to update on this.. just gave them a call and spoke to a nice gentleman. He said that not every case needs the birth certificate to be sent and it isn’t needed for my younger son. Don’t know why this is? But also that there is no decision but it’s with the right department, just an update for anyone with a date near mine 25/04 😊

I'm 30/04 so good to know! Also I do wonder if it's just random extra security checks and not everyone gets picked. Proves the child's yours and in your care etc

srwoodco · 15/08/2024 13:45

Yeah I think you are probably right! My older son already receives DLA so could be why, hopefully not too much longer to wait now x

Billie87 · 15/08/2024 13:58

Got a text to say my child has been awarded and a letter will be sent. On holiday so no idea which level (I think it should be mid rate care, low mobility but will see).

scan date was 10/04/24
Although actually sent 2 weeks before that.

I literally just got a text awarding for 10/4 so I wouldn’t give up yet.
I had sent a lot of evidence so possibly why mine took longer.
