I don't think that's right lovely. You can't get HRM without HRC x

You can if the child is older then 5 and it's not under the SMI rule for mobility

It's what I was told to expect from one of the charities and it works out exactly to the penny based on the rates so I'm fairly certain that's what he's got but I'll wait for a letter to confirm!

Hi, my 14 year old son was recently awarded. I sent his EHCP, main stream school behaviour log from when he was there, teacher from his alternative provision where he is now filled the section from another person that knows him, a letter from CAMHS psychiatrist, his referral for adhd assessment, medication he takes and a weekly diary about his care needs at home. I also gave details of his psychiatrist & psychologist at CAMHS and ticked the box to say they are welcome to contact them as well as school if they needed further information. I was also told to describe his worst days. Good luck with your application.

Hi does anyone know how long it takes for universal credit to make a decision? Updated in August and still not heard and wondering if there's any point in updating journal or just leaving it x

Decision on? If its to be verified that your child receives dla normally within a few days, back pay is what can take up to a few months

cuckoo95 · 11/09/2024 06:26

Some good news.
Scan date was 18/05 and got a text yesterday saying my son qualifies for dla. I have no idea how much and I'm not overly fussed. I'm just over the moon that at last people are supporting my boys extra needs and now whatever money he is entitled too means I can now try and make his life at home and school earlier... I hope more of you get the same good news today. x

Dunwaiting · 11/09/2024 07:46

@cuckoo95 congratulations 🥳 I’m hoping I hear soon for my daughter, I don’t think it’s going to be successful 🙁.

I didn't think my lad would be accepted to be honest I only put the claim in because school advised he may be eligible for some help, I know my boy needs more attention than alot his age but I didn't think his needs were high enough to claim dla as he has no diagnosis in place and I've said I don't want him labelled like me yet as then they want medication put in place etc and i dont want that. so theyre working with him and his enotions and speech rather than diagnosing his problems. So you may be pleasantly surprised, well i hope so and hope you all get what your little ones are entitled too as well. my fingers are crossed for you all xx

What's you SD? Mines 03/05 was told Friday it's in the right place where a decision would be made. Still nothing as of yet. A few with same scan date and after has been awarded so I believe mine is going to be a decline with such a long wait. I've lost all hope, the wait and not knowing is frustrating you over think if you've explained enough about the child and their needs and if you've given enough evidence to support it.
