I saw this too! Couldn't believe it. I wonder why some go through quicker if they work through by date order x

I wonder if there’s several decision makers and a they all get given a pile of applications? Some will work through them quicker than others 🤷🏽‍♀️ x

Must be plus in comparison to the amount of applications that get submitted only a small percentage will be on groups etc. posting when they got a decision. I'm hoping it won't be too much longer my scan date is 21/5 x

I called up this morning (SD 9th May), I know it's a bit on the early side but at least wanted to know it's with a DM as my last 2 claims got 'lost'.
I was told it's not yet and that it'll take 20 weeks blah blah.
The lovely lady then asked if I have problems with my postal service as I'll receive a letter with the decision.
It's made me feel like it's a decline and the lady was too polite to tell me otherwise.
I'm certain my daughter is eligible as are her school and all the professionals working alongside us. I've provided lots of evidence in regards to her additional care needs.
So frustrating and needed a rant!
Hopefully I'm worrying about nothing. x

I hope you get a decision soon!!! Such a long wait.
I sent my form 1st class recorded on 26/4 but it wasn't accepted until 9/5 for some reason.
I'm pulling my hair out! You must be so frustrated! x

That’s my second DLA application awarded in a week. SD 03/05 decision made this morning for MRC for 2 years for my moderately deaf 4 year old. So relieved and can stop stressing until 2026

How frustrating for you! Have you called at all? If you haven't I would say it's totally worth the call as it seems not everyone gets a text and from what I've seen people receive their backpay before the letter.

We're strong and keep going for the kiddos and when we get a chance we silently sit and rock in the corner mumbling about scan dates and weeks past 😆
But in all seriousness the wait is draining, especially more when you hit the 15week mark, because you know its soon, so every call, text or letter makes you panic, it's draining and so crazy we wait this long and if you have to do a MR it's not far off a year 😣

Scan date 01/05 called today as needed to see if I had time to send sons updated prescription, no decision yet she did however make a note on the system of the new dosage and said not to worry about sending it in. Which I thought was weird as previously asked to send other one in

Also thank you, I have a gut feeling we're still be a decline, but trying to look on the bright side 🌞

I feel like Il go mad now . Such a lonnng wait . Y they took so long ? What they wanted to dig out?

if they have so much concerns they should meet the kids once’s and room decisions right there .

Yesi called last Friday . They said still in a queue.

Just called, still not been allocated to a case manager xx

Scan date 26/4, 19 weeks!

Still waiting. It's been with a decision maker for at least 10 days now. I was calling every day but am in Gran Canaria at the moment so just checking the bank account several times a day instead!

😔 I think we have a good few weeks left until there is a chance we will be lucky to have a new update. I'm still going to ring every week just incase and you never know when ours is finally allocated, we might have a speedy worker🤞

scan date 17/04 going into 21st week . Called Thursday still no progress no decision maker .. sigh I must be the earliest date still waiting . Over a month past my date are being awarded guess they’ve just forgotten about me 🫤

Think I read on FB that a MR for 29/4 was done today so I'm hoping 2 weeks, 3 max xx

Yes I am pregnant in my last trimester so with appointments and baby growth and stuff I am extremely aware of the dates which isn’t great 😬 I’ve been waiting near enough since finding out I was pregnant 😮‍💨 and considering my applications taking longer than the average I’m hoping to hear sooner rather than later !

My DD school mum was awarded on Thursday after waiting 24weeks+2 days. It's crazy isn't it?
But she told us it worth it. She was given hrc and she was only expecting mrc.
I think it depends on the decision maker. Some are fast while others just take their time.They definitely don't know how difficult it is to wait for a decision that might be negative.I don't even want to think about that yet🙄.

Just concentrate on all your appointments and look forward to having a beautiful baby😊 .

Oh I really hope this is true, to hear before 20wks would be great, especially if its good news, would be so worth the wait🤞

Anyone know how long it normally takes for carers allowance to be awarded? And if it gets back dated to the start of the DLA award?
