Hi, just to let you know. I called for an update. Apparently it’s with the mobility department and I should get a decision any day now. But she also said it could still take the full 20 weeks which would be 11th September so if I’ve not heard anything by then to call back. Scan date for COC 24/04. X

Fingers crossed you don't have to wait till then and you hear sooner

applied 27th March
scan date 18th April
birth certificate requested on the 1st May
went to a decision maker 16th August
Awarded middle rate care (child is 3) 19th August till May 2026 when she turns 5

so blooming happy, I can now do her a whole sensory area with proper equiptment :)

Most people on here are currently saying around week 17, but I can't directly comment about less than 15 weeks as I am scan date 20/05, so the day before you and waiting.

I really don’t want to be the person calling every day. I called on Friday and it was still in a queue. But this is now all consuming!

I don't know why they say 15 weeks. I've never really seen anyone awarded that quickly unless they're prioritised. you're looking at 17 weeks minimum x

Doesn't help when the people who answer the calls say different stories 🤣 Go for it x

I'm so happy for you, our scan date is the same as yours 18/04 I've not heard anything yet.. the anxiety is consuming me now 🤦🏻‍♀️

I've not rung at all, i think if I haven't heard anything by Friday I might ring.

Id give them a ring, I didn't get any text messages to say she was awarded yesterday, I rang this morning and was told a decision was made but they couldn't tell me what it was so asked to be put through to somebody who could and that is when I was told

Surprisingly a decision was made yesterday for my self on the COC. It’s not what I wanted to hear, I probably just caught the DM on an off day lol. I registered MR on the phone while I wait for reasons in the post. I have literally sent off so much evidence and I don’t think they even read it. Just for reference my scan date is 29/05.

Mini update , had letter and copies of my appeal and extra evidence ( the photos was just codes listed though not the actual photos ) they said they have also sent this “ pack “ to DLA and are waiting for a response as they may overturn the decline decision, they have until 7th of September after that if they don’t change mine then we go to tribunal which can be up to a year for my borough…. I’m getting fed up tbh it’s so frustrating as clear how much more support in care and supervision my son needs due to his non verbal and global delay , his comprehension and communication is very behind and he has pics too… I’ve seen some with less evidence and less care needs get mechanisms I honestly don’t understand why we are being put through this unless it’s just them being stubborn because he is under 3 but I have also seen some with under 3 get awarded… the dm we got was obviously a not a nice one

Well I’ve just phoned scan date 11-04 and a decision was made the 14th of august they wouldn’t tell me the decision over the phone 🙈if it was a yes then would I have had back pay by now?

I can resonate to so much. It’s absolutely ridiculous. I hope your decision gets overturned. It’s a nightmare when they are just judging on age. I am doing MR. All the best x

Possibility back pay could still come tomorrow. They recommend 3-5 working days, so if you don't see it as midnight I would assume decline. But call back someone else will be able to tell you x

Maybe yes and maybe no, backpay takes 3 to 5 working days. I was awarded on a Tuesday and had backpay on the Fri so looks to be more 3 days but can be the 5

How long are mr s taking please probably another long wait ? X
