They received our forms back 11/03 & sent a letter saying the decision could take up to 15 week. Rang 3 weeks ago to be told it was with DM. Rang just now (end of 15 weeks) to be told no progress. Can't sort any of our other benefits till this is sorted (need to apply for CA & then move from IS to UC). Been up since 1.30am with my 9 year old ASC & DCD daughter & feel broken. She was diagnosed since she was 3 but I put off applying for years & years until we were desperate, because I've been through the DLA thing with my older daughter who is physically disabled & it's so emotionally draining. I sent in loads of evidence & wrote pages & pages & now I'm so anxious she won't be awarded & what will we do then?! I'm sorry, just needed to vent to people who understand. Wishing luck to you all in this exhausting process.

SD 08/03. Ah I gave in and phoned, got a nice man with a birmingham accent who said it should be with decision maker next week. But he said you'll get text whether its yes or no, so just call us back then as if its no you can ask them for reconsideration.

I don't know if he was trying to tell me in code that it was declined lol.

So I know this has been asked so many times but what do I do about uc? Do I wait for the letter to arrive before letting uc know? If not what date do I give them for backdating? Also if I get lcwra do I get the Carers element? I'm a single parent and my eldest dd is my carer. So confused with it all x

Hey , so if u on middle care rate or higher, you qualify for carers allowance. I think you can still get carers element for lwcr but let me check for you
