I rang at 4 to check if there was a decision and the guy told me it wasn't even a priority after being told monday that it had been made priority so he said he would do it today and I would hear within 10 days, what a joke xx

Received a text at 5.40pm saying they've decided my child qualifies for DLA but didn't see it till after 6. Relieved she qualified but not going to sleep well tonight wondering what she's been awarded...😯

Scan date was 11/3. Earlier March dates seem to be being processed now.

Scan date 4/3.
Phoned today to ask that text alerts are on.

Inital call handler said that it looked like a decision had been made but he wasn't able to tell me what it was but that a letter was in process. He then said that he would be able transfer me through to a different team who could 'talk me through it'.

3 mins on hold, he came back and said that the decision HADN'T been made, that he'd asked for text alerts to be activated and that he expected there would be a decision imminently, maybe in the next week or two...

So my ADHD brain has played and replayed this conversation over in my head and drawn the conclusion that we have been unsuccessful but they arent allowed to tell people over the phone - therefore I have to wait for a letter to hit the doorstep...

Thoughts?

Its so sad isnt it when its all coming down to money and budgets! The wait times to even be seen by the community paediatrician in liverpool is a joke up to 44 weeks now im just over half way through now to be seen yet if you live in knowsley just a slight different post code there is no wait times getting a diagnosis in 3 months its so bad, my son has been seen by every professional we can so far and cant do anything until we have been seen by alder hey, we have the educational psychologist coming out next month to his nursery setting hes due to start reception in september but i dont think hes going to cope hes only doing 8am-12pm now as he has been suspended 7 weeks back yes suspended from private nursery its crazy as they dont know what more to do to help without funding for 1:1 etc xx

Went to him this yday apparently and some. Details where checked on the phonne the 2nd time. I rang today more than the usual asked I'll wait it out til. Tomrrow afternoon and call. Back nc

I did this and I called UC- once you speak to someone on the phone they will put a note in your journal saying your work coach has to reply by this date.. (mine was 2 days after call) I would definitely do this so the work coach’s have to reply

I did the same and edit the “ people that live with you “ as that’s how you change the child having DLA award. And having a right issue with UC over it and today they sent letter saying they are doing it from May which is just this one cycle . It was supposed to be backdated to January…. Hopefully your people are not as corrupt and incompetent as mine lol …. Good luck

I did not get a text , my son was awarded MRC and LRM …. Text don’t mean anything it’s literally pot luck to getting one or not unfortunately…

Yeah I think I did that as I saw someone post a photo of how to do so I tried to follow that as much as I could but I'm not sure I've done it correctly 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 I will ring and check tomorrow.

After you’ve done that on the posted picture they will write on your journal once it’s been verified and send it to dm, once it’s verified all future claims with have the disability and carers elements on them but the backdate is taking a while, I’m still waiting for mine from 7/6

I kind of had similar, mine was put on the wrong priory that took a month for a decision then when I phoned up 2 weeks later I was told it’s not on the right one and the put it on priority first which is up to a week, one week today and still waiting, 🤞 tomorrow, did they say priority or priority first? Or just priority?

Yes hun and they back dated it to the same as dla ( 16/01/24 ) which they already paid into my account.

I think that’s why you’ve got that amount, when I applied for carers allowance because it’s classed as income it wipes out the disability and carers element but obviously you have to have those elements on uc so your not out of pocket, I got a low backpay too because the benefits cap had been removed from getting Dla, I hope I haven’t confused you

he said priority 1 hun, and i should hear within ten working days. Im so nervous how do you stop yourself from over thinking everything? I keep replaying the form in my head panicking that ive done it wrong. Xx
