mines a week today πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I called an hour ago and it’s open and with a dm, they said they will text as soon as a decision has been made but if it’s rejected they don’t usually send a text, I’m trying to keep myself busy now until I either get a text or i call again tomorrow

Oh goodluk then hun looks like your decision is imminent. Im thinking the same thing im nervous because they dont send a text if declined so im sat here thinking that they might already done it but its bee declined im overthinking everything xx

Call back!

I asked this morning to be made priority and they said it doesn't exist

I called back this afternoon and was made a priority

Oh really? Thank you for that I’ll try again
fed up of being told different things every time I ring a straight forward answer is all I want

PollyH3 · 27/06/2024 14:39

@Shazzle88 I'm just waiting to get through, but keep thinking the same, maybe it's been declined which is why I haven't got a text. I was told Monday and yesterday I should hear "imminently" and "shortly". Got my fingers crossed for everyone for positive outcomes

πŸ˜‚ me too I’m definitely overthinking everything because she’s 3 and a half and I know really she should get HRC but I don’t know if they will use her age against the decision! And even if it’s MRC should I then do a MR, just need the decision now so I don’t keep thinking the worst. Good luck to you hopefully not much longer 🀞

Christyyyy · 27/06/2024 14:40

@BusyMamma4 literally what's been happening to me. I got fed up with it. Spoke to an Italian guy & he did it no problem. It's worth a try!

I swear they have no idea how stressful it is going through this process!

Last Friday.
We don't have a formal diagnosis (on the pathway) and other than her teacher filling out the section for me(she's so bad at school now so at least the school have been able to support) I haven't sent any evidence, which is what worries me. But I did send in 3 pages of extra information. So the waiting is killing me.

I managed to not think about it until about 14 weeks but the last couple of weeks it's really making me anxious worrying about it.
The lady I spoke to just said it's with a case manager and I should hear soon. I said does that mean by the end of this week or will it be next week and she said she couldn't say how long it'll actually be. I'm really hoping to get a decision before the end of tomorrow and not go into another week of anxiety about it.

She also said new claims are taking 15 weeks, which from these threads doesn't seem to be the case at all.
I posted my son's application yesterday so I've got it all to go through again πŸ™ˆ but I couldn't face doing them both at the same time.

We’re still waiting to be seen by paediatrician next month so I haven’t got much evidence but the preschool has filled in the person who knows her in detail which proves she’s the same at preschool and home, I’ve sent a 4 day diary and a long list of her needs and what she’s like and a copy of her medication for bowel problems. I think I’ve stated what she’s like enough for HRC but she might get MRC cus of not being seen by paediatrician yet, I do think possible she would be classed to get HRM but I’m not sure that’s going to come until she’s had appointments but she definitely fits the criteria for it. What have you sent in?

My daughter masks at nursery she just sits on her own all day so they just say shes shy but when he gets home she explodes. Ive sent 2 pediatrician reports a letter from health visitor and a letter from the gp also her inconclusive autism assessment and recent prescriptions but i didnt write any diary or anything. Im so stressed about it, i didn't have any help filling in the form either so im worried ive messed it up xx

Sorry if I haven't replied to people individually my head is blown atm 🀯

So I just rang back to check why when I called yesterday I was told I am on week 9 when if calculated from SD I'm actually at week 13 and the ladies response has confused me even more, she was new and didn't have a clue what she was doing (I do emphasize with her on that) but god she was hard work, she said just a sec about 20 times ffs 😩
Bur basically she said 2 things, first was I should receive a letter within 10 working days and then when I asked has a decision been made she then said no and to call back on the 22nd if I haven't heard anything by then. So which is? Baffled.
Ringing back now to try clarify which it is because she made no sense what so ever πŸ˜‚
Wish me luck...

Hi ladies … I am still having issues with UC … this afternoon they finally agreed I did NOT have to go to other side of my borough ( 45 min drive each way and London parking fee ) but they have only agreed to pay from May for the disabled child element…. They have already sorted out the carer element and paid me the back date until 16th January to match the DLA awarded back date ….. I have sent a message on my journal asking for that to be re looked at as I don’t feel it is correct and asked if it should be paid the same dates as the dla and carer element… I had one reply saying β€œ I don’t think disabled child element gets back dated but I will raise it with the department β€œ ……. My question to you lovely people is did those of you that went through this with UC get yours back dated to match dla and carers or did they only do the payment for that UC mth ?

Under Universal Credit, arrears of the disabled child addition should be automatically backdated either to the date your Universal Credit claim started or to the date that your child's DLA award started – whichever is the most recent.
That what Google says

Thank you, still no text so it looks like another phone call tomorrow πŸ™„ I would say you’ve sent in enough evidence some people get awarded without evidence at all so I wouldn’t worry about that, I think it’s knowing the decision is coming that makes us question everything πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« hopefully not much longer

Rang back as was advised to earlier today lady was lovely said she can't see a decision but he could have your claim up now on he's screen πŸ™„but I can't be 100% on that she added some further info and that I had called for update then said wait for your text then ring us back for your entitlement strange overall she was very cheery and chatty compared to some

I was told mine was being looked at at 1 today and that I would receive a text if awarded, still nothing, I think I will call in the morning so if there’s still nothing and I can call in the afternoon and don’t seem like I’m harassing them to much πŸ˜‚ I’ve been told by 3 people that it will be by Friday so hopefully they are right 🀞

I've just updated my universal credit and wrote in my journal asking for it to be backdated to the start of my sons dla award.. Will they send me a message back or will it just automatically update? Sorry if it's a silly question I've never had to do this before lol x
