Thank you for taking the time to reply, thats very reassuring to hear! Will keep my fingers crossed for a decision soon! 🀞🏻
Did you get the result you were hoping for? If so, congratulations and I hope you get an answer on your youngest sons claim soon! ❀

I think I did, my eldest (8 awaiting ADHD assessment) was awarded LRC no mobility - I’m unsure whether this is correct I’m going to speak to his school SENCO I think LRC & LRM is slightly more fair but will cross that bridge if the school agrees! My youngest is ASD non verbal and the pressure is really on getting him the right award so I’m extremely nervous!
Good luck today ❀️🀞🏼 Please let me know if you hear anything x

@Mhow tell me about it! Every time I call I get told something different. That's the frustration! I'm trying to get everything sorted before I give birth but seems impossible! They're annoying

Kayleigh32 · 27/06/2024 10:13

Hi everyone new on here, i had a letter back in march that they had received my documents on the 6/3 is this the same as the scan dates you refer to? I also had a letter back in april saying they are dealing with the claim the decision can take upto 15 etc, i had to call up back in may on the 20th to change bank details and asked for an update whilst on the phone to then they said was with the decision maker this was like 6 weeks ago my nerves are shot waiting to here back debating if i should call up or not

Yes that is your scan date πŸ™‚
there is no harm in ringing and asking for an update
fingers crossed you get awarded what your child deserves soon

Kayleigh32 · 27/06/2024 10:53

Thanks for the reply just feel like everything is a battle at the moment ehcp just got refused for an assessment so going through mediation for that, even though the letter from the LA states its clear your child has SEN needs but there is no budget basically its disgusting we have to fight to get our kids the help

Mumoftwo2024 · 27/06/2024 11:13

Hi.

First time posting 😬
scan date 12/03
called last week and the man was rubbish and told me 20 weeks.
called about half an hour ago and got straight through to someone, told me I am in the next batch and should hear via text in the next fortnight so fingers crossed. This wait is awful!

I’ve never had a letter nor a text so far, I’ve had to call and chase up every time.

Asdmamalou · 27/06/2024 11:43

Scan date 05/03

Just called and been told we are finally with a decision maker and to call back this time next week if I’ve not heard! Nerves are next level 😬

good luck and fingers crossed for us all

Awh never! It’s appalling how much we have to fight to get our children what they deserve there’s not enough help as it is, feels like every is a battle!
hopefully you’ll get awarded soon and can get the help your child needs

Lindsey89 · 27/06/2024 12:34

Scan date 5/3 just rang took 4 minutes for. Someone to answer claim with decision maker as we speak should have decision very soon

Shazzle88 · 27/06/2024 13:02

What is the difference between a case manager and a decision maker xx

They both make decisions but I’m sure the case manager has to have it signed off by the decision maker

MissionBiscuits · 27/06/2024 13:36

@Kayleigh32 So sorry to hear that. We were extremely fortunate that our Senco used to be on the panel for our LA and said she always puts them in at the beginning of the year because by Easter there’s no budget left and it’s a blanket no. Even if you get it there’s still a fight, took 9 months to find him a 1:1 and now they’re β€˜moving away from assigned 1:1s’ so they’re taking her away again. It’s horrific. Hope you get some good news soon.

Crazyhouse4 · 27/06/2024 06:46

Hey, I’m still waiting and was made a priority first a week ago today, apparently I should have a decision by tomorrow 🀞

Have you had a decision yet hun? Im really nervous mine was made priority 2 days ago xx

Christyyyy · 27/06/2024 14:00

That's mad isn't it πŸ˜‚
What did you say in order for that to happen?
Also, if you don't mind me asking what is your scan date?

❀

Christyyyy · 27/06/2024 14:07

@OneGreenBird

I kinda just laid it out bluntly that I keep being told 100 different things and it's getting a bit ridiculous now.
I just said it makes life difficult for us, because my son needs appointments that are 2 hours away from us and the travel & hotel costs etc are getting too much without knowing if we will receive an award (his appointments last 4 hours a time so an all day thing)

And he was like oh I'll make it a priority. No issue

Scan date - 08/03

Im glad you got the result you think is fair, I hope your chat with the school goes well πŸ₯° here if you want to chat afterwards!
Your youngest sounds like my son, it is hard isn't it. Its a full time job and if any of the DM lived a day in any of our shoes we'd all have HRC!

Thank you so much, same goes for you. Keep me updated, here if you want a chat/rant! 😘❀

mines a week today πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’« I called an hour ago and it’s open and with a dm, they said they will text as soon as a decision has been made but if it’s rejected they don’t usually send a text, I’m trying to keep myself busy now until I either get a text or i call again tomorrow

BusyMamma4 · 27/06/2024 14:26

I’ve just called and mines with the new claims department and currently open (whatever this means)
call handler said claims are currently taking 15-17 weeks but can take longer
asked if I could be made priority and they don’t do this!
im only on week 13 and already it’s felt like a lifetime don’t they realise the impact waiting has on us all ready stressed out mammas 😫
