Our SD is 05/04

I make it 12weeks on friday....dont get how they work yours out to be 9 weeks? That would make our claim only 8weeks. Baffled x

I always doubt myself and think I've got something wrong so its nice to see you totally get why im baffled too 🀯
Im hoping his maths was just a bit off and it doesn't mean anything because an extra month added on would be so painful!
Thank you for replying ❀

Same scan date as me
Thus wait is horrible 😩

Hi πŸ‘‹πŸ» I know 😒

Same scan date as me,
I’ve been told twice that my 20 weeks end in September when in fact it’s August, from what I can gather the call handlers haven’t got a clue what they are talking about
good luck with your claim fingers crossed you get what your child deserves and you get awarded soon

See, its unbelievable isnt it!
What is just a date to them means the world to us who are waiting everyday, counting every second.
Hopefully he's just got it wrong like you said 🀞🏻
Thank you so much, I wholeheartedly hope the same for you ❀

Hi everyone. Been keeping up with these threads from afar since the start of my sons claim but finally decided to post because i'm looking for some clarity.
First time claim and SD is 28th march so although early my impatience got the better of me and I thought id try calling to see if I could get an update.
Spoke to relatively kind mind who informed me that the status of the claim is still open meaning its still being looked into etc πŸ™„ fully expected this response given its only been 13 weeks tomorrow but it completely threw me when he said that claims can take upto 20 weeks and so far my sons claim has only been open 9 weeks so to keep waiting and that it could take up to 11 more (painful) weeks.
But if I've calculated it correctly we're at week 13 tomorrow, not week 9 so that sets us back a whole month!
I didn't get the chance to ask him why and im kicking myself for not asking now but does anyone have any idea why this might be?
Pissed right off because the wait is already long enough 😫
I will be ringing back but just wondered if anyone on here has ever experienced this and can shed some light as to why?
Thank you ❀

Edited

They told me same thing SD6/3 before priority was made yesterday they said that it’ll be August that a whole month added on they say said the date it’s opened is when they go 20 weeks from not the scan date but they tell different stories everyday πŸ˜‚

Can anyone please advise regarding UC? My daughter was recently awarded DLA which now means I have two children in the household on high rate DLA. I have been trying for days to amend things so that I am the carer for one and my partner is the carer for the other, therefore we're both entitled to the carer's element. I have confirmed via the phone with them that this is permissable, however, when I go to register a change of circumstances via the 'children and other people that live with you' option, it only allows me to choose one of us as the primary carer for both children. When I try to register it under the 'caring' option, it just directs me to a 'contact us' screen and tells me to comment on the journal. I've commented on the journal multiple times now and I'm either getting ignored or told I need to register it as a change of circumstances - which, as above, I can't bloody do! Argh! Please help 🀣

Hey, I think it’s because you need to sign into the other partners account to do it, it says contact us because your already down as caring for someone

Scan date 5/3
Priority first last Thursday, DM on Monday and awarded today, LRC & LRM.
Started the process for MR for the care component because he definitely meets criteria for middle! No danger awareness so supervised at all times, eats/chews/chokes on non food items, deregistered from school because they can no longer cater for his needs, suicidal thoughts and low mood and acts so impulsive we are terrified to sleep, he function's on roughly 3 hours sleep per night, he has SPD too so even things like the temperature in the house/garden can send him spiralling let alone the noise, the feel of his socks etc, i could go on and on but i won't πŸ˜‚ another 15 week wait to get him what he is entitled too πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

What evidence did you send hun xxx

That’s really strange, I’ve recently done it for my partner so now we have a child on each one, I wonder if they’ve added it when you called, does it say anything on your journal about carers being updated? Because the message your getting is what showed on mine because I already had a child on mine but my partners I was able to change that he was caring for her

Emma2345 · 26/06/2024 18:03

Does anyone know if this is enough evidence feel like I have barely any with my daughter compared to my son ,, my girl masks alot in school but somethings have even noticed I have finally recieved both copies of referal forms for the SCP (autism assessment pathway ) awaiting acceptance this was only sent on Monday so will take a while to be accepted , I have 2 speech and language reports and also her IEP (individual education plan) she has traipse of autism and extreme adhd traipse adhd referal is being done at age 6 this is stated and school filled in the someone who knows the child part ? I’m only 8/9 weeks in so still a while to go but so worried because of the holidays and things that they won’t get round to it till summer holidays and because of barely any evidence that they may hold off till speaking with school which means more likely be September October time when we’re 20 weeks 😩😩😩 this wait is horrendous and I’m getting so worried now it’s going to be declined x

Rayne20 · 26/06/2024 18:08

@Shazzle88
I only got the text today and rang for rates, checked the gov website again and he fits all criteria for middle so i started the process by phone, they wouldn't tell me reasons said i have to wait for the letter, so i will wait but preparing my own letter to support the MR in the mean time. I was surprised too if im honest, i see posts of people not sending enough evidence in and not filled forms out to the best of their ability and given MRC, i'm gonna stick at it though and see what comes of it, he's entitled to it and it would come in useful for help with home schooling resources etc so gonna be patient and wait it out xx

Hey guys..
The woman that told me my son was awarded yesterday said that the back pay should go in today but I didn't think that was right..
Does anyone have any ideas on what day it could be?
