Good morning everyone, I decided today to call as it’s 15 weeks today and I haven’t called once yet during this claim. Spoke to a very polite man, although not greatly helpful, he said that my claim had not been looked at yet and the maximum date I can wait until is the 2nd of July, then said ‘you should really hear any day though now’. I asked if it was with a decision maker yet and he said he can’t tell me this information. I really do wonder whether or not these call handlers actually know really what is going on. Good luck to us all, our poor children deserve this.

Scan date 16/02. Awarded MRC and no mobility although I know we are entitled. Backdate 5 weeks later than it should be. Grateful to have been awarded at all, but feel like I’ve already been slightly let down 😞 MR forms coming out and DM calling to figure out why the backdate has been done wrong.

Good luck everyone this week, it sounds like DMs have had a nice long weekend off, so hopefully they will wizz through claims this week with positive outcomes 🤞 or is that wishful thinking 😂

You’ve got the same scan date as me, is yours a new claim? Congratulations on getting awarded but your right definitely do a MR if you feel it’s not right for your child’s needs

Thank you. Yes, new claim. I was made priority last week due to financial hardship as I’ve had to leave work. My son has an undiagnosed neurological condition as well as additional needs which have both escalated. I will be, it’s so disheartening.

How old is your son? My son is 7 and waiting a neuro assessment through camh, I only sent his camhs referral with his form last year and he was awarded MRC and LRM.

He’s 5. He actually turned 5 about 2 weeks after our forms were scanned in so I’ve a feeling they’re going to say the DM didn’t realise he was 5. I’m trying to call them again now just to have complete confirmation - I’ve been told the wrong thing so many times so I’d just like to know for sure that the last person was right!

Thank you. I just had a call from the person I spoke to earlier as he’d got my backdate wrong, which is good to know. But still going to begin an MR for mobility. Wishing you all the best and hope you get your award soon.

I was really hoping to get HRM for my son, as he doesn't have any sense of danger, especially outside, and he is clumsy.
After reading the latest posts, that most probably won't be possible.
Scan date: 12/02. I called last week; been asked not to call until early July. I will try calling again on Friday and checking the posts here.

So 16th May i got text stating daughters MR will take UPTO 4 weeks. Called Friday and the guy was annoying me calling me love etc but he stated the claim was with a d.m and would be done any day. Spent 44 mins on hold. Got told all MRs are taking 15 weeks 🤔 and her claim isnt with a d.m. told her i was told last week that it was. Her response was 'really oh god' she said 100% its not. She told me to ring back in 2 weeks as that will be the 4 week mark from the text 😬

It clearly shows that some of them not even looking at the actual claim...

received a payment of £2100 last night so rang this morning to find out what my daughter was given was told couldn't tell me over the phone and wait for a letter im hoping its full rate daily living care as my daughter suffers from autism and has very limited sleep at night

Same here I’ll be doing a Mr if he doesn’t get it I’ve sent in plenty of evidence in , it sounds like whoever’s desk it lands but I’ll be fighting all way for him ☺️

Oh that’s good they called you back some of these call handlers don’t seem bothered in there job so you must have got a good one, good luck with the MR. I’m hoping to hear something next week for my eldest daughter but still waiting on a scan date for my youngest daughter, it’s going to be a long wait ahead 🙄

Congratulations, they should have been able to tell you on the phone if you’ve already got a back pay going into your bank, these call handlers are rubbish at times. What date did you call for forms or did you print and send them?

i printed them late January and they scanned them on the 1st of feb.

i'm thinking of calling again to find out what rate they gave my daughter as the man was quite rude on the phone

I think our MR days are similar, mine is 5/5. I was advised 11 weeks 🤧 I called today, 25 mins on the phone just to make sure that the evidence I sent was scanned in and it was last week. Was abit worried due to sending Freepost. Think we may have a fair bit of wait 😭

has anybody done a MR for tax credits? It’s the disabled element back pay for TC, similar to UC but they call it severely disabled child tax credit. My HMRC notification said i would hear back in 15 days. Currently on Day 19, i dont want to call yet as its been BH so im waiting a few more days. Theyve argued the toss with me because i didnt inform them within 1 month but i had to mitigate over to UC and didnt know i had to. They owe me over 3k due to the very long DLA wait i had last year for my youngest (31 weeks).

Just wondering if theres anyone on the thread whos dealing with MRs with TCs?
